We went for the famous sunset dining and unfortunately all the tables were taken. We sat at the bar and were finally able to get a table after dark. My advice would be, plan to arrive early if you want to enjoy the sunset! But the food, drinks, service and atmosphere were awesome! There was great live music with some patrons dancing up front. They have good prices on food and alcohol, especially considering the area! Our server Laura was wonderful and seems to be one of the hardest working servers I’ve ever seen! My fish tacos weren’t the best I’ve ever had but the price and speed made them worth it!

Good place for lunch. The famous fish sandwich was good. My wife had a salad but loved the key-lime piña colada. Nice beach style area to dine at. Overall good for an affordable price.

This restaurant is awesome. The tuna appetizer is the bomb. Also the Key lime drink is to die for. My daughter had the crab legs and they were also very good but she had to work at them to get the meat out. The live music is s bonus as you can dance after a few drinks. Everything on the menu is good. We ate there on a Sat night and liked it so much we went back the next day for lunch. The prices are good also for the keys.

The BEST Key Lime Colada I’ve ever had… Tastes just like the Pie! The atmosphere was great and the kids were entertained by the wildlife!

I love Lorelei for the sunsets and the pina coladas, but not the food. The food is just OK. Since we started coming to Lorelei, we usually eat elsewhere and come over for the sunset.

Everyone told us we «had to» eat at Lorelei’s while in Islamorada. They recommended it as a sunset spot, and they were right. Great spot to watch the sunset, if you are lucky enough to score a spot among the throngs of people. The menu is affordable, and the waitstaff friendly. The food was just okay. I was most impressed with their ability to get food out in a reasonable amount of time and keep clean restrooms with literally hundreds of people there.

Very disappointed tonight. I love Lor e lei, or at least I did once. The view is spectacular, the service at the bar is awful. We were ignored. I’d like to comment on the food, but it never came after an hour. Hopefully it was a fluke. The people around us seemed happier the I was. We decided to give it another shot last night. The service is much better when you sit at a table. Great live tunes and sunset.

Meh. Good for drinks, music and sunsets. I ordered a burger, thinking that no one could screw that up but apparently the patties were freezer burned or just bad — tasted nasty. Requested they take it back and give me a salad. They did and apologized but didn’t take the burger off the bill. I pointed it out, they resolved it.

We dined here twice on my family’s short vacation because it was just that good and within walking distance from our hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The meals were delicious for the most part and the atmosphere is a perfect fit for the relaxation you expect while visiting the keys. They have live music and a good selection of signature cocktails. You have to try the key lime colada if you go here and the spinach dip!

Stopped here for the famous drink I kept hearing about the Key Lime Colada. I am not going to lie I was hesitant because what if the key lime pie part was too sweet?! I actually waited for my Mom to order hers to try it out. I took one sip and didn’t want to give it back! I had to immediately order my own! Oh my goodness, it’s not too sweet, it’s limey, perfect little graham cracker rim, and even creamy. Oh, do I love getting something perfectly rimmed and creamed. I also ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi Seafood Tacos which were delicious too. I had no complaints on those. The service was a tad bit slow, but maybe that’s just the atmosphere. Honestly I would just stop in the middle of my trip to get a Key Lime Colada.

I found out about this establishment from some locals I asked for a couple suggestions they told me about this place and the place across the street which I will leave un-named. I tried the joint across the street first I sat down and waited and waited and waited as workers passed by and nothing happened, I’m not going to chase you down to take my money so I left! Then headed to the Lorelai. I loved it I had a great time. I no longer drink alcohol but if I did they actually had great drink pricing normal folks can afford… my server was great my peppercorn chicken salad was great… I was sitting at a table 10 ft from the water. And they had a really good non alcoholic beer. Also check out the little gift shop by the bathrooms I got a women’s tank a men’s shirt and a kids tee for under $ 50 which in tourist towns is actually very good! I had a great time!

Well, I can’t believe that after passing this place for the past 15 years in I never stopped in. What a beautiful view and a great relaxing location. I had quite a few rum and cokes an the wife had a pulled pork sandwich. The drinks were good and the wife said that it was really good pork. I’m now on my whatever rum and coke still enjoying the music and the view and finally in a different state of mind. In a while I will be dragging my self out of here for my next bar. Friendly staff and a nice outdoor bar make this a must stop. We are having a wonderful time listening to music of Harry Fisher, who plays ever Sunday.

Another example of great views and mediocre food. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t so great either. Add another star or two if the beach setting warrants. Go to Lazy Days to get great views and awesome views.

This breaks my heart to have to write this but I will never in my life ever visit the Lorelei. We have been there at least 10 times before with good reviews. Cheap drinks. Good portions. Great sunset. When it came time to book our wedding rehearsal we thought it would be a no brainer. Simple set up– 25 – 30 people, limited menu and limited bar. We booked the party about 7 months in advance and followed up a about a week before the date(3⁄30) with a final count. When we showed up we were not in the private party space that we requested. Instead they had set up a table in the middle of traffic for 25, not reflecting our proper last count of 27 + 2 kids. When we asked them what happened they said another party came up with a banquet so we got bumped because we had a limited menu and less people. This was never told to us when we booked the party. The manager was extremely rude to us and the service was absolutely horrid. My fathers burger was forgotten and when it arrived he asked for cheese and they repeated to him two times they couldn’t add cheese to it. How can you not add cheese to a burger? My parents spent 1200 $ on the dinner and you can’t give my dad a piece of cheese. When the servers brought the food out they didn’t know who had what and were asking our guests if they ordered this or that. It was very unprofessional. Long story short, we weren’t expecting first class service, but we were treated like garbage and will never return again. It’s a shame it’s ruined because it was one of the most favorite places to visit in the keys. Completely ruined the night before our wedding.

Causal beach dinning with great portions of delicious food. The place is super causal on the beach, you seat yourself and a server comes around. We went on a Wednesday and it was still pretty packed with people and they had some very nice live music. The service lacked a little, probably because you seat yourself and have to wait to get noticed. BUT, you have nice scenery and music to enjoy during your wait & once you’re done waiting… The food is so good and the portions were huuuuge. I had teriyaki chicken wings which were absolutely delicious. My sister ordered mahi tacos which were also so delicious. The boyfriend got a quesadilla, which came with 8 pieces. It was very large and slightly surprising because it came off the appetizer section. The last person in our dining party was my father who got a caesar salad with fried mahi. The mahi portion was huge, comparatively speaking to two other restaurants we ate at and my father got the same exact meal. It had to be atleast a 10 ounce piece of fish on the salad. Would definitely recommend if in the keys, especially for the price and portion. We ate at night and it was still beautiful, I can only imagine the daytime or at sunset.

Location location location is what they have going for them. The food is good, but not excellent. The service was HORRIBLE. The bartender serves the tables under cover yet the bar is full too… not a good combo for quality service. We would come back for location but the service is slower than slow and food came out in two shifts and she forgot one sandwich.

Super cute and casual place right on the bay. The tiki style and beach décor is very Margaritaville-esque. There was a live band playing country music and light rock. I went on a Wednesday night with a party of 4 and the place was pretty jumping. The band was rocking, the bar was full, and a lot of the tables were taken up. It’s seat yourself service, but the waitresses notice you pretty quickly. The service was a little slow but I trust because the waitresses were so busy with all the full crowd. The wait was worth it because the food is great! Our amazing food consisted of: Coconut shrimp, Caesar Salad with fried Mahi Mahi, chicken quesadillas, teriyaki wings, blackened Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, and sweet potato fries. All things were superb and the potions are HUGE! The chicken quesadilla came with 8 pieces and all the Mahi portions were very generous. We had an abundance of left overs to take home and we are pretty heavy eaters. In addition to the generous portions, all the food was fresh and prepared nicely. I wish I could have tried the frozen key lime pie, but I was too stuffed! I will definitely be going back to try it. OH and our bill was only $ 62. This place has GREAT prices and you’re definitely getting your money worth.

I absolutely love this place and make sure to stop by Lorelei restaurant every time I am in the Florida Keys. The restaurant/bar is a divey beach bar with an abundant of outdoor seating by the water, delicious seasfood and live music. The restaurant is always crowded but I can tell why — this is what the island life is about. I can’t recommend this place enough. This is what vacation is about

^^ 2 ½ stars. One star for the view, and one star for the very pleasant table waitress who with a smile conversed with guests, shared her breakfast with a crane and just seemed to be enjoying her job. MORNINGBREAKFASTSTOP — My husband and I stopped in for an early breakfast as we have done many times previously on our way down the keys. As usual, we grabbed a seat at the bar. The usual local barflies were sitting around reading the paper, having light chat and grabbing a bite. The bartender was not very hospitable, and retracted any type of light morning chat or acknowledgements of our please and thank you’s directed toward her. This seems to be consistent with other bartenders we have experienced here. It seems if they don’t know you by name specifically, they appear bothered that you are a tourist blowing through town. I wonder if they visited Key West or the mainland if they would expect the same treatment as they provide their guests. I ordered a Bloody Mary for the $ 3 Sunday School Special. It was A-okay, but nothing spectacular, and the pour seemed short in the plastic cup. But for $ 3, I guess it matched the bill. Vegetable Omelet(no cheese) with Rye Light Toast — came with potatoes or grits and toast. Both the omelet and the potatoes were very bland and had no seasoning. The omelet itself was very watery. Not as in runny eggs, but watery from the vegetables. The toast was not executed as requested. I didin’t finish it. French Toast —(see pic) — My husband said it came out warm and was adequate. He would get it again. As a repeat customer, this is always hit or miss as far as the food execution and hospitality of the staff. It’s actually beginning to wear on me for future visits. I think I’ll give this place a break for a while.

Yum! I will admit that what brought us in was the giant mermaid sign, and we really weren’t expecting much in terms of the quality of the food. Usually when a place has a big showy sign it’s overcompensating for something. However, Lorelei’s proved us wrong! Came here at sunset, hoping to get a waterfront table for dinner. The whole place is seat yourself, so we spent some time scouring the waterfront dining area for a table. There were six of us so also finding a table to fit everyone was a challenge. We gave up and grabbed a spot on the back deck. Lorelei’s has a interesting setup, where there are three dining areas. All are outdoors, however the bar area is covered. So test your luck on those Florida summer days when the weather can go either way at any minute. Luckily for us there was a nice breeze and we were quite comfy. Our server warned us that two other tables sat down in her section at the same time, so we would need to bear with her. Honestly, for a busy gal she was fabulous. She took care of everyone and even stopped to chat a minute with our table. I do not recall her name but she was from Nashville– so manager give her a raise! She’s a hard worker! :) We started with a couple rounds of cocktails, namely the rum punch and key lime cooladas. Refreshing and nicely spiked! The apps we ordered were delish as well– the tuna nachos were good but messy, and the spinach dip was super popular with our group. I had to get the smoked fish dip, as it is my obsession in life, and I enjoyed it as well. We were feeling pretty good when our entrees came out. Our drinks were never empty, the spinach dip was flowing. It was all good. Then I bit into the most delicious blackened Mahi tacos. SOGOOD! Three came to an order but I had to save one for later. Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d over their foods as well, so I am safe to assumed they were as happy as I was. The prime rib wrap looked good, as well as the conch chowder. We somehow also managed to fit in dessert, which ended up coming back to the hotel as well. It made for a great breakfast with coffee the next morning. I should also point out Lorelei’s has great live entertainment. We were singing along to every song and at one point my mom and I even snuck over to the bar to watch them. This is a great spot to enjoy some good food, drinks, and lively entertainment. Highly recommend!
