Not only does Spudnuts serve amazing donuts and breakfast croissants, they also provide the best customer service! I take customer service very seriously and here at Spuds, I am always greeted with a warm welcome whenever I come in. Kyle is very friendly and helpful when it comes to taking orders. As for the food, the apple fritters are a delicious treat. Give this place a try if you haven’t already done so!

Ham and cheese croissants for the win! That’s pretty much all I get there most of the time. I’m not too big of a fan of sweets/donuts in the morning.

The croissant breakfast sandwiches are pretty good and you can’t go wrong with the donuts. A good amount of things to choose from for a donut shop, and it’s one of the only places that has boba so late at night, and it’s pretty cheap boba but tastes like it too. Still worth the price though and a good option when the other boba places are closed.

Doughnut holes on point, although they could use a little more glaze – but beats the calories I guess. Also the doughssants were delicious. A solid spot to study-as its quiet and offers Icon’s FASTWIFI and with plenty of outlets to go around.

Who would have thought that the best boba in town would be from a donut shop? Yeah guys, forget Hana, forget Phở bistro, and forget naan stop. Also please don’t even try Fire and Ice. Spudnuts is where it’s at. When I walked in, I was greeted by really nice décor. It’s a pretty cute shop, and perfect for studying. I also noticed that there’s a Chinese prosperity frog next to the cash register. I ordered a blended taro smoothie with boba and it really really reminds me of boba shops from the Bay. The boba is slightly cooked more than al dente but the sweetness and texture are more or less spot on. The taro is quite good. But, I guess it’s kind of not the main focus, since almost everyone in IV who does taro can’t really fuck it up since its from a powder. I came here previously though and ordered a regular milk tea with boba. The milk tea ACTUALLYTASTESLIKEMILKTEA. As in, I taste a tea flavor!!! It is a strong tea flavor. It’s def not on par with quicklys or anything but it’s the BEST in isla vista. Also, their hours are till 2AM. Literally, come here for your late night boba fix. As for the donuts… I’m not a fan of donuts in general, but my boyfriend seems to like their donut holes and the pricing for them.

It’s the convenience and the location that keeps me coming. I can walk here in a couple of minutes and I always get the same thing for breakfast. Unfortunately, I always get it made differently every time and that is my pet peeve. I typically order a breakfast bagel sandwich(bagel, sometimes mayo, sausage and egg) and it seems that everyone has a different way of making it. Some of the times I can tell that these employees don’t enjoy making it because it requires effort instead of grabbing a donut and ringing them up. I definitely think they have their moments with employment from time to time and it’s never consistent(cause it’s a college job) but they have definitely had their fair share of employees I can live without. They usually have a vast selection of donuts but if you are going there late at night(last hour of closing) don’t expect a variety of donuts. They are closing up and making more for tomorrow morning. What it seems like is that they make all their donuts in the morning and sell them throughout the day which makes sense to why people aren’t getting a variety of choices late at night. The wifi is good and to study there is alright. It’s impossible for me during the day but at night it becomes a little more tolerable. UPDATE: I did want to mention how hard working the manager is and that is he the only reason this place really deserves a 5* rating.

This place had 16 donuts. not types of donuts but literally 16 donuts. They tasted as if they were from the morning and had no freshness to them. The red velvet donut was nice in potential, worth trying at 6am. Service was typical college town stuff. girl on her phone acting like she’s cooler than the customer. For a 24 hour shop this stop is better than the one on Carrillo, but if it’s before 12am I’d recommend hitting up your local grocery store for one or even go the entenmann’s route rather than here.

The glazed buttermilk donut is the closest thing to heavenly food goodness! Definitely going to miss this place during the summer while I’m out of the IV/SB area.

My boyfriend and I frequent Spudnuts a lot… and who could blame us? They make delicious donuts, and it easily became one of our favorite donut places. Spudnuts is open late until midnight everyday except for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, when it’s open until 2am. So it’s a great place to get your late night sweet fix. They serve everything from donuts, cronuts/doughssants, breakfast sandwiches, boba, tea, coffee, and other drinks they have available on that day. My favorite donut from Spudnut is their red velvet, especially when they’re fresh and out of the oven. They’re so soft, tasty, lightly glazed, and they melt in your mouth too! Unfortunate thing is that they sometimes run out(yes, they’re that good) or they don’t serve them on certain days. Other than that, they’re delicious. The maple-bacon donuts and bars are good as well and as expected offer a pretty good balance of saltiness and sweetness if that’s the kind of stuff you’re looking for. Another thing we always get when we visit Spudnuts is their breakfast sandwiches. Sure, they’re simple: eggs, cheese, your choice of bacon/sausage/ham, but there’s something so perfect and wonderful about the simplicity of it and it definitely hits the spot. Best thing about it is that they serve it all day not just at breakfast times. And plus, it being IV, what more could you ask for on a late night after some partying or even some long hours spent at Davidson Library. Spudnuts offers wi-fi, has tables and chairs for you to enjoy your sugary and salty snacks, and is usually empty the times we go there(I imagine they’re more a take-out kind of business). Also, they deliver or you can take out via SB Menus, so you can probably check on that website for deals and promos they might have. I am definitely going to miss the convenience and deliciousness of Spudnuts when I graduate in a couple of days… But I shall be back! IV has some pretty amazing food, SPUDNUTSINCLUDED :)

I enjoy frequenting this Spudnuts best. For a donut shop, the interior is very nice and polished. It has a nice jade toad statue and a bar. This one also has the greatest variety and amount of donuts compared to the other Spudnuts, in my experience. I called the Fairview location once asking for a particular type, and they said that an employee delivered most all of their donuts to the IV location. I also like the employees at this location best. I am guessing that a Chinese family owns Spudnuts, and I find the family members who work at this one are friendlier. A number of students work here as well.

I used to cringe at the idea of going to Isla Vista for anything but once I put my biases aside I really really started to enjoy the shops here. Spud nuts in IV is better than the Hollister location! Why? More likely to have something you want. For me, that is jelly-filled. I cannot function without the jelly-filled. I live for the jelly-filled. It’s usually on point. I wouldn’t say the doughnuts are going to blow you away or anything but this is Goleta/IV/SantaBarbara good.

I love their version of the Cronut i.e. the Doughsant. It is so good. But in general, I was skeptical about potato flour donuts, but they are tasty.

Donuts. Some of my housemates are children. Sometimes they get donuts. And guess what? I suddenly want a donut too. So, I drive over into IV(early so I don’t have to deal with anyone). I have ordered: Regular glazed donut-$ 1-dense, but not too dense. I liked it. A «meaty» donut. Red Velvet-$ 1– smaller size, more cake-like, basically in between a chocolate and regular cake donut, with red food coloring. It was OK. But not the best. Old fashioned-$ 1– soggy interior, good glaze, but frankly it turned me off. And it was pretty scrawny. Who wants a skinny donut?(not me). Donut holes $ 0.20/each or $ 2/dozen– these are pleasant. Good texture and glaze. I would be interested if they had different flavored donut holes. Seriously. They have a fair amount of options. Bar donuts, cake donuts, all the usual Winchells options. But they have croissant-donut/cro-nuts, which are alright too. Not the best, but it’s the closest donut shop around…(Besides 7 – 11 and UCSB apparently)

Let’s make this real simple: Spudnuts is decent doughnut shop. They have all your doughnut options, as well as bagels and croissants. Nothing spectacular, but definitely not the worst. It is the only doughnut shop within a five mile radius, so that’s definitely a bonus — the other Spudnuts is on Hollister.

Yay first doughnut shop in IV! Pretty good doughnuts, really fresh in the morning. Everything’s about 1 – 2 bucks so relatively cheap! A dozen doughnut holes are two bucks. My new go-to place for a quick breakfast!
