This place was like my closet when I lived in iv, always have fresh options and a mellow environment. Owner and his dog are super chill too. A local go to for anything surf skate or clothing.

Shop is great, the owner is extremely knowledgeable. He showed me how to remove/​attach the bearings from the wheel, and how to clean the bearings. He was very nice and you can tell he enjoys doing what he does and teaching others how to do it as well. Obviously, things are a little pricey, but I mea what do you expect when coming to a boardshop? Would definitely recommend and will definitely come again

Absolutely amazing customer service! I came in to only replace barrings and the owner happily replaced wheels and added some risers! I can not explain how much I recommend this boardshop! Customer service is through the roof!

Amazing shop!!! Don’t base your opinion of the place off one negative review. The shop owner is extremely nice and helpful. Not only does the shop have all your needed skate supplies, they have surf equipment and apparel as well (which is mainly why I visit so often). The reason why I’m giving five stars is because of the friendliness and cheaper competing prices that Movement Boardshop offers as opposed to Surf Country. Need wax? Buy it here! Also located minutes away if you’re located in Isla Vista. About to head out to surf Campus point or sands and need some wax? Buy it here cheap!

I am so glad that we have a boardshop now in Isla Vista. I didn’t have a board before I got here, but I got a great board here– Sector 9. The staff is very friendly and knows their stuff about the boards as well as the clothes. They, along with the prices, convinced me to buy a shirt as well. I am thinking about coming in again and buying on of those banana boards that they have too.
