They are now known as Kiku Sushi. Lee and his family still run the place and it is as good as ever. They are NOT closed for business.

Went here the very first day they opened and our family has been going ever since. Not only has the menu and place changed a lot, but the friendly service and charm of the owners and their kids has stayed consistent. Nicer than most other mid-range sushi spots. Solid quality fish, fairly priced. Creative and complex dishes.

One of the worst sushi/Japanese restaurant experiences. Don’t come here! Price is so not worth the experience and the value. Service: extremely inattentive. I was waiting for more than 20 mins after being seated and no one had come to bring even a glass of water. Everything needed to be requested by us the diners subsequently — additional refill, food order, check. The waitress not only appeared to be distracted and unfocused, but she also messed up one of our orders. After the dinner, our party literally waited at the table for over 15 minutes and no one came to take away the dirty dishes or brought the check till we waved the same waitress down. Now in terms of food, my sashimi were literally chunks of raw fish that were so big they were difficult to eat(What happened to sashimi slices??). My friend’s chicken teriyaki resembled reheated frozen TV dinner from a warehouse store. The chicken did not look marinated at all and sauce was just dripped over it. Also to note, the toilet didn’t flash and there was no paper towel to dry the hands. The only decent thing that deserved a star was their ability to split the check. As the icing on the cake, I also got sick from food poisoning a few hours later. Diners, you really need to explore a bit more for other options if you want to land yourself here

When ever I go, I always get the teriyaki chicken lunch box, YUM! The people are very nice there and have unique recipes you won’t find any where else.

I feel bad not giving the place a better rating, because they are so nice there. I’ve been three times with my father(he seems to really enjoy it there). The appetizers, soups and the box meals were all excellent. The rolls… not so much. They were boring, sloppy and I’ve never been to a place that puts plain mayo into any kind of roll. I ordered a diet coke, and it looked like I got the last 2 cubes in the place. The workers were all sitting around with their feet up, which kind of seemed unprofessional. I’ll order from them for delivery, but there are just way too many better places to go, that offer the same food, and better food.

I haven’t been to Haru Hana in a couple of years and I remember it being better that it was, but I have had my fair share of sushi places since them so the quality I look for may be different now. But overall, it’s okay. I like the ambiance with the lounge-looking booths and black tables, it has a trendy, sexy feel to it. I’m sure more so at night due to the large windows encapsulating the restaurant. The service is okay. Not very fast. I waited 5 minutes before I even got a menu but it’s one person running around during lunch time to take orders and to ring out take out. I ordered a Salmon Teriyaki bento box lunch special. It came with a soup or salad, I chose the salad. It was mostly iceberg lettuce but the ginger sauce is always a hit. The bento box came with salmon marinated in teriyaki sauce over a bed of onions, 3 dumplings, 4 pieces of a California roll and white rice. Lunch was cheap and filling. With ginger ale and a tip, I paid $ 15.00. When I’m in the neighborhood, I’d go back.

Went in for weekday lunch; someone waved us to a table from the other end of the place; place is a bit dingy but not too bad; no one approached our table; then noticed that while other parties managed to get menus, they still them(had not ordered); after a few minutes, no menus, we left.

I hate it when sushi places wait to serve all your rolls in one platter, making us wait an eternity, but I really can’t complain. We had 5 different rolls and all were pretty much dynamite. With names like volcano, yummy, pink lady, fancy and house roll, I have to say, it wasn’t bad. Sushi with mango actually works, but a lot of their filling was full of sauce. And it was a bit salty, but I was still quite satisfied. We also had their house salad, which truly was just lettuce and dressing made of miso paste and orange juice. The place was nice, quiet, no music, but it had a decent layout and design. The sunset was fabulous and the service was ok. I liked it, but not 100% impressed. If they serve as rolls were done, it wasn’t so salty and saucy, and the waitress smiled more, and the place gave out more natural warmth, welcome feeling, then I would adore it. For a small town place, its good though, but just ok.

Stopped by on an impromptu business lunch. Not a soul was in the place when we arrived, but it filled up. Good lunch. Got rolls, spicy tuna and avocado tuna and miso soup. The soup was good, the rolls tasty, but unevenly cut, which was odd. The service was good and the price for 2 for lunch was $ 27. Really, who can bitch about that?

Tried going to an Indian place, but for some reason I couldn’t find it. I think because I was on Main Street instead of W. Main Street. Anyway, my friend and I ended up eating at Haru Hana because she doesn’t like creamy Italian food. The place was pretty empty, so I was kind of skeptical. However, the food here was surprisingly good. The sushi tasted fresher than what I very much expected. Good food at decent prices. I like their creativity. The place is kind of smell but has decent tables. The wooden disposable chopsticks are pretty ghetto. My pair had lots of splinters and it was cut weird. I had complimentary green tea, new york hand roll, and a yellowtail crunch roll. I loved how they decorated the yellowtail crunch roll; it looked very artsy. Nice hidden gem.

Had the lunch special. Wish I didn’t/ First off they screwed up one of my selections and gave me something else. The cups they give you to dip your sushi rolls in are half the size of the rolls themselves. Illogical. The salad had exactly 1.4 of a tomato slice, 1 cucumber, and a boatload of lettuce. Not even worth eating. The sushi does not even taste that fresh. Will not order again. There are better places in the area.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Having driven past this place a million times, I finally attempted to go in once I had read reviews from here. I must say that it was a great find! I had ordered from the lunch special(3 rolls and soup or salad for $ 11.95). It was definitely a great value and we both left very satisfied. The restaurant is trendy and perfect for this small river-town. The fish seemed very fresh and the menu was a good size with many types of sushi dishes. Definitely worth a try!

Superior service. Ordered sushi for 2 platter for date nite at home. Delicious. I’ve been noticing thinner fish and thicker rice at some places lately. Not here. Thick fresh cuts. Try it. Update stayed for dinner and realy enjoyed the bento box and some more fresh sushi. The staff is super nice and treat me like a regular. Funky cool deco too. Hot date spot.

Such a good selection of special rolls. My favorite is this one with mango and yellowtail and other things… It might be called fancy roll, not sure. The inclusion of mango is wickedly delicious. I’ve tried their beef teriyaki, and although I usually only go to this place for rolls, the teriyaki sauce was tasty. And it had these great caramelized onions. Good stuff. Shumai was overpriced for what it is(six little ones, probably microwaved from freezer packages). One thing that’s annoying is the fact that the service can be pretty slow. There are only two waitresses usually, and while both are nice and courteous, there have been times when I’ve been waiting waiting waiting for water. Whenever I go with my younger siblings, they give us a handful of assorted mochi ice creams for free with the check, which is super, of course.

I live down the street from the restaurant, but tend to venture to Dobbs Ferry for my sushi needs. The food isn’t bad, it’s just nothing special. The menu ranges from sushi to habachi to Thai and I think they’re just stretching themselves a little too thin. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I’ll certainly be back in the future.

A quaint and delightful sushi restaurant that has a great atmosphere. The staff was helpful and friendly and the sushi was delicious. It was as fun to look at as it was to eat, the Rainbow Roll was beautiful. The chef had a talent for turning the food into art not only for the eyes but the taste buds as well. I would recommend Haru Hana to anyone looking for a nice sushi stop. The only quip I had was that our server didn’t speak English very well at all. Several times I had to turn and speak directly with the sushi chef; only a minor detail that didn’t affect the sushi. Overall this is a great place to eat and I would definitely go back again.

Easily missed but hardly forgotten. Intimate setting that serves food fresh and slow. At one point they had a Thai menu and upon request the chef will surprise you with a Thai version of spicy soup. They do a great twist on rice-less sushi but I highly recommend the Yummy roll. The chefs bring their personality into the sushi and you can taste their style with the perfect cuts and careful seasoning. Easily the best sushi in Westchester with friendly service.

Great, simple sushi bar, with some nice Japanese soup selection. We have visited this place over 20 times and we are always satisfied with our meal and the service. The fresh is fresh, though not always the most innovative. A good solid sushi option in Westchester and more reasonably priced that my favorite Westchester Sushi joint, Sushi Mike’s. Over the last year they have changed sushi chefs– I find the new chef more innovative, this his cuts have not been as consistent. For example, I have noted that the tuna was cut incorrectly(with the grain!?!) or perhaps it was not the proper grad. Regardless, his presentation is beautiful. Had a spider roll recently, that was not fresh tasty– perhaps the oil the crab was fried in was old? There has also been a change in hostess– we used to be greeted by name by Ping. She remembered our preferences and knew us when we called in for take out or to make reservations. We miss Ping! Lastly, the ambiance in this place is simply, modern, with clean lines. Very pretty and relaxing place to eat.

For someone who doesn’t eat fish… the sweet potato roll does it for me every time! We love this place and it’s right down the street which gives it 4 stars Their lunch boxes are very tasty as well. I think sushi Niji has more options in Dobbs… but for nights when we don’t want to venture off our street… .Haru Hana does just fine!
