Go to lunch spot. The bento box deals are incredible. I usually get the sashimi box, but the chicken katsu is nice when I like to change things up.

It’s been a while since I last came here. It was busy on a Saturday evening, but we were able to get seated immediately at the sushi bar instead of at a table. We ordered the Kobe Sizzler, Tuna and Salmon Sashimi, Mega Lobster Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Rainbow Roll. Needless to say we were full when we left. The service was excellent; for example, my water was always topped off — a plus in my books. The head sushi chef, Jackie Chan, was also very friendly and our waiter was attentive to our needs. Overall the sushi was good, considering we’re in Texas, however it was not quite up to par compared to the sushi on a recent trip to Los Angeles. The Kobe Sizzler was neat to order because of the way you cook it, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. You cook it on a hot stone, which you can ask for another hot stone when the initial one cools off. The sashimi was colder than many other sushi restaurants, texture was good, but did not have much taste to it. Shrimp Tempura Roll had a nice sweet/citrusy sauce to it that I really enjoyed. The fish on top of the Rainbow Roll looked a bit old compared to the look of the sashimi we had. The Mega Lobster Roll, albeit pricy, was the highlight of the meal. Huge sushi rolls accompanied with, what I’d like to call, lobster nuggets — fried pieces of lobster! The meal concluded with a freshly cut orange and some raspberries — I’m not sure if this was because we were served by the head sushi chef at the bar and if they offer it if you sit at a table. Nevertheless a nice surprise! I also liked the ambiance and décor of the restaurant. Plenty of seating, whether you’re in the bar, tables or sushi bar!

Great place to stop for a bite on my way to the airport. Quality of fish was very good and the atmosphere is really nice. Full bar service, ordered a glass of Malbec and a variety of sushi as well as an appetizer. Everything came out efficiently and with high quality. My only very tiny gripe, and the reason 4 instead of 5 stars is that there’s no escalar on the menu. But I will absolutely return as I come to Dallas quite often. As a bonus the bartender with perfect long black hair and tattoo on her left arm is extremely cute and really friendly as well.

Very yummy sushi and signature rolls. I usually go with the Rock Manhattan roll, tuna poke, and stuffed jalapeños for the dinner win. I will say the mashup/remix music they play is mediocre at best and always too loud. However, it’s laughable at least and the servers are nice. Great option to pick up and take home too.

There have been studies that indicate people are more willing to repeat an experience that is consistent yet mediocre rather than an experience that has a wide variety in potential outcome. That’s why I like Blue Fish. Is it the best sushi I’ve ever had? No. But can I count on it to be almost identical to my previous experience(and pretty decent)? Yep. I also like their happy hour specials — while definitely smaller portions, you could easily leave full after a sampling of the HH menu. My list of favorite standby dishes include the tuna tower, tuna tacos, lobster roll(a tad heavy due to being fried and having spicy mayo), the Blue Fish roll(IMO the best deal on the menu), and the sushi(generous on the fish, and never a complaint on freshness). My only«I feel old» complaint? The loud house music that can often make conversation a tad challenging.

Jinwoo(sorry if I misspelled your name) was our chef tonight, and he took care of us really well! the king salmon he recommended was excellent. I also had my favorites, the ahi tower and uni, and they were pretty good here.

This place gets PACKED. I work close by to this place and so do a lot of my other friends, and we decided to come here for drinks and sushi after work. The place is pretty big, and what I loved is that the open seating bar area was big enough for a pretty big crowd without it feeling too cramped. Apparently happy hour is around 5ish to 7ish I want to say, which was great because the beer selection and the sushi selection were very reasonably priced and the types to choose from were not too shabby either! I had a Sapporo beer with the Eel and Avocado roll and the Spicy Tuna roll. My total came to about $ 20 including the tip. The waiters are very friendly and fast, however they are overworked for the happy hour shift! Our lady seemed to have the whole bar section to herself! With that being said, she remembered everyone’s order and made sure everyone had a chance to order something, and receive the food and drinks in a timely manner. We ended up having a good time and I think me and my friends can agree that we will definitely be back after work!

I’m a bit late on my review, but my experience was so enjoyable that I have to leave a review. I came here for sushi and left beyond satisfied. I ordered the kanpachi sashimi on the recommendation of the waiter. The sashimi was light on the tongue, very tender, and flavorful. The same for the fatty tuna. It was more on the fleshy side yet it was just as tasteful. Overall, the sashimi was just splendid with its refreshing and delicate taste. In addition to the sashimi, I had the Rock N Roll and the Samurai roll. I was hesitant with trying baked salmon, but my worries ended up being for naught after having it. This roll was the definition of «melting in your mouth». If you’re not a huge fan of raw sushi, I would highly recommend this roll. It’s caramelized in flavor, making it taste very rich. However, it’s not too strong as to overpower your palate. On the other end, the samurai roll was on the cold, refreshing side. I really enjoyed it for its balance of taste with the dash of wasabi and eel. The atmosphere here was pleasant. The lighting, spacing, service and music left for an intimate and sophisticated dinner. Big props to the service. The waitress was very welcoming, gave great recommendations and served a large group quickly. The food here did add up to be a bit pricey, but I’ll say that the sushi was very much worth the price. Spending my birthday here was a great choice and I can’t wait till my next time here. ***for my birthday, they were so kind to give me free tempura ice cream. You can also get it through checking in at Unilocal, but the waiter let me save it for another time!

Still my favorite sushi spot based on a combination of factors: — wide varied selection that is always fresh — happy hour is fantastic and keeps you coming back often. How can you say no to great food and a funky dj at happy hour??? — wait staff and bartenders and good across the board

I love this place! My friend recommended this place for Happy Hour, so a bunch of us came here after work on Friday. It wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be, which was definitely a plus since we didn’t have to wait to be seated. Food wise, I ordered the Mini Ahi Tuna Tower & Tempura Shrimp roll along with a Cherry Vodka. All of which were great and delicious! The tower was the perfect amount if you’re craving it without having to order the full one. The tempura shrimp was way better than I expected. The rice to filling ratio was spot on. Ambience wise, it’s a cool place for professionals to go and just let loose after a hard work week. The lighting was a little too dim for my liking, but it didn’t affect my experience that much. However, it did take a while for our server to come by and get our orders. My food came out quickly, but my friend waited around 15 minutes for his roll, which I thought was a little too long. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! On top of the great food, drinks, and ambience, you get a free tempura ice cream if you check in! Yummmmm.

Very good place for sushi! Ordered the mega lobster roll and although it’s pretty expensive, you get exactly what you pay for. The food comes out quick, and the dish is elegently presented. Very delicious roll! I also tried my friend’s rainforest roll and sashimi and I highly suggest it! Servers are very attentive to your table. All in all, great service and great food! 9⁄10 If you check in on Unilocal, you get a complimentary tempura icecream, and can choose from vanilla and cinnamon!

I normally go to the North Dallas location, but since I was around the neighborhood, I decided to stop by for a quick bite with a friend. I came in on a Wednesday night around 9pm and was greeted immediately by the hosts. My friend and I decided to sit at the bar since we didn’t plan on staying long. Service was excellent and the manager on duty, Chris, was very sweet and personable. He honestly made our experience! I always get the rainforest roll, which my friend and I shared, and as always, it was delicious. After that my friend and I couldn’t decide if we were still hungry so Chris recommended that we try the beef sashimi. Oh my goodness. I have to get that ALL the time from now on. It’s basically seared beef with a horse radish sauce thing. Definitely recommend! If I’m ever back in the area, I will be back! And with a bigger appetite!

Great sushi! My husband & I got our usual — shrimp tempura rolls, ahi tuna tower, Mix tempura(shrimp & veggie). Service is fantastic — team approach so before you are done all of the wait staff will have helped you. Check out the sushi chefs — they are great to watch. Food is quickly delivered, and always good. And the tempura veggies make eating your veggies a wonderful thing. My mom would be proud! The sauce is wonderful. We also got the free desert which fried ice cream, it was amazing! Unfortunately, they were our of green tea so we got the vanilla :’(Hopefully next time they will have the friend green tea ice cream: D

Awesome place! great happy hour for drinks and food. I always get the mini Ahi tower and cherry vodka sour. If I go with a lot of people we usually get 2 – 3 large sake. Make sure you go there early because the place does get very packed. Its by where all the corporate offices are in Las Colinas so expect to see a whole lot of bottom up shirts and slacks.

Such a beautiful, and not to mention, huge place! Came here on a Friday night, and there was a DJ that played upbeat and dancing music to keep us entertained the whole night. The staff quickly sat our party of 20+ people and took our orders. We thought that the food would take forever to come out, but it took no more than 30 minutes. Our waiters were very friendly and patient and came back often to check up on us and refill our drink orders and whatnot. 5⁄5 for service! I started off with an Asian Mojito which was good and zesty. As for food, the Rainforest roll was THEBEST. For all you raw fish lovers out there, the tuna was super fresh, and it’s not like a bunch of sushi restaurants where they skimp out on the tuna/raw fish and compensate with a lot of rice. there was a mountain of fish atop the sushi! Definitely what you call the«bang for your bucks.» Not only that, but the shrimp tempura inside was really crunchy, and the amount of avocado was more than enough. The sauce was more on the sweeter side which my boyfriend did not like, but I felt like it complimented the flavors. I got full from that ONE roll so think twice before you let your stomach decide and order for you. It was so delicious and worth it to me that the next time I come back, I’m probably gonna order the exact same thing despite the many sushi options on the menu. Also, be sure to check in because you will receive a free ice cream tempura if you do!

This sushi place is a chain, but from their quality of food, you could never be able to tell! Their fish, service, and atmosphere are impeccable and every blue fish seems to be just like this. My boyfriend and I were starving so we ordered quite a bit. We started out with the ahi tuna tower– it’s a must, and it did not disappoint, and then we ordered the mega lobster roll, the rainforest roll, two unis, and one more that I can’t quite remember. By far the mega lobster roll was the best, it’s definitely worth the money and the roll is huge! We ended up having to take ½ of each of the other rolls home because we were so full, and even blue fish’s to go bags had mini wasabi and ginger! My only complaint is that their uni was not fresh, for the price I feel like I should be getting the best quality of fish, but it tasted a little old to me, but other then that the meal was great! They even give you a free tempura ice cream if you check in(I was too stuffed though!)

Let’s start with OVERPRICED… not enough sushi for your bucks. It’s dark and the music can be really loud. The sushi is good, it’s just small portions. I come by myself and eat at the bar sometimes, always able to find a single seat. Did I mention, it’s dark. I like the Ahi Tower, I’ve had it several times. If an item is noted as ‘hot/spicy’ on the menu, it’s pretty damn hot.

I honestly couldn’t argue. My experience was pretty decent. I was kind of worried, since the negative reviews of this place primed me into thinking I’ll have a similar experience. I came in here around 7PM yesterday(Wednesday) and it was incredibly packed. It was during happy hour, that’s why. My friend and I sat at the bar and grabbed a few drinks and ate 2 delicious rolls — Titan and the Rock Manhattan(these 2 rolls were actually very similar to each other). Pictures posted. I must say, if you’re having a date with someone new, don’t go here, especially around early evening. You got the Happy Hour crowds in close quarters with you. If you got good ears, by all means, go for it! Oh, I checked in here using the Unilocal app, and we can get free tempura ice cream — choices are vanilla or cinnamon. Can’t beat that!

I was hanging out with my friend in Las Colinas and she suggested The Blue Fish. I’ve never heard of it, but I’m always game for sushi. Surprisingly, it was a really slow Friday night. We were seated and our server came over a few minutes later. He briefly went over the menu and went to put in our order and drinks. While waiting we heard the DJ in back bumping the early 90’s music. Other patrons were also rocking to the rhythm of the jam. LOL! Also, this place was freezing cold. I was so close to ordering miso soup just to warm up. Our calamari came out first and I was little thrown off. The reason being it looked like onion rings. I had never been served calamari this way. Quite frankly I didn’t care for this presentation. I couldn’t really enjoy it. Crazy? I know. My Sundae Roll was absolutely delicious. I love any sushi roll with salmon and cream cheese. Also, the added crab meat was a plus. My friend ordered the Volcano Roll and I ate her food as well. The scallops were very tasty and the rolls were spicy. Yummy! We finished it out with the Tempura Ice Cream. No. No. No. I don’t care if it’s complimentary. You just need to pass on this. The outer tempura was chewy and tasteless. The texture was odd and I kept saying«I don’t like this.» As far as ratings goes… the sushi was top notch. But between the freezing cold building, my displeasure with the calamari and the tempura ice cream. It was just an okay experience.
