Stellar. Had not been to LCCC in years but the renovations were worth the revisit. We used to brunch there on Sundays but felt dated, as the place was once musty and seemed almost disregarded. Not Anymore! Now the martinis are served so flawlessly we designate our drivers and indulge by firepits overlooking the golf course and Dallas skyline and here we truly unwind. Even when there is a crowd, we still have a sense of seclusion as the sound proofing and design was most definitely done by sheer science. The food got better, the staff got better and we have the most consistent service there every time as we are lucky enough to enjoy martinis by Brittney who takes serious pride in her drink service. Rare these days to find those who are genuinely focusing on serving the clientele, remembering specifics, and still serving it all up with humor and style. This is my favorite place to be especially in the rain at night, by the firepits, just asking the chef to make me up a vegan treat which is done beyond perfection teaching me something new every time. Now, if they put phở on the menu, i’ll give them six stars. Hidden gem. My friends who go there with me swear by the steaks. The specials are also reliably delish. Really, you cannot go wrong on the menu or at the nightly surprises. All I can say is, if and when you want a martini, exactly how you want it, ask for Brittney. She’s got a true flare for delicious martinis and all the staff and management make you feel welcomed, wanted, and wonderful.

The course is in horrible shape, the bunkers are real hazards, meaning you could get hurt trying to play out of them. The bunkers have always been bad, but they are now worse. Management has being saying for years that they will fix the bunkers, and have attempted many inexpensive solutions, yet they never have actually gotten the job done. At this point there is a stated effort to finally fix the bunkers, but management is either unwilling or unable to make a commitment as to when they will be fixed. There are other problems with the course that are essentially a matter of deferred maintenance. Lack of watering the greens, fairways, etc. unlevel tee boxes, poor root systems of the greens creating real problems for the greens when the weather gets hotter, unraked bunkers(even though they really suck), no 15 fairway was changed last year and the grass has never really grown in where the work was done and the fairway is uneven and needs to leveled to match the rest of the fairway, areas of the course where no grass grows. Unfortunately, the course once known for its fast greens and challenging lies due to the terrain it’s built on is a mess and not a very good golf course. Again, mostly due to deferred maintenance, yet at the same time they have more members than they have in years, and they continue to raise the dues and prices for food and drinks at the course.

So I came here on a Friday date night because my date then lives in Fort Worth so that was the place we agreed to meet up half way. All in all, this place is only fun if you have occasions(wedding reception parties, grandparents birthdays, etc), and golf times with family/friends/colleagues. The venue looks kind of dated as obviously they are working on the updates.

The clubhouse is under renovation ride now. Always, friendly staff, great food and the pool very inviting. The golf course is scenic of Irving-Las Colinas.
