Horrible customer service and very inconsistent! Very frustrated with staff and lack of ability to perform simple tasks.

This is a well-stocked grocery store that is centrally located near Story and 183. I popped in on a recent visit to pick up a pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream. It was a quick and easy trip. Self check out available.

Yuck! I guess Kroger is pouring all of their money into the North Irving store and absolutely ignoring this one. Dirty and grimy. The capper for me was the frozen unwrapped cabbage that looked like it was pretty old before they froze it. Pro Tip: pretend this Kroger is not even here. I headed to Aldi, it was my first trip to one and I am definitely a convert. Lower prices, good fruit and vegetable selection. Fresh cabbage, not frozen. You could probably bowl with the ones from this Kroger, that is after you drilled holes in it. My guess is they would take about 3 days to thaw out, so you could go for the weekend and then have unfrozen yet still yucky cabbage soup on Monday!

my name is Henry I have been shopping at this store for at least 20 years, I use to be a grocery clerk myself many years ago, my problem I have know with this store and many others is that they want you to self check out and I feel the customer service is just going away I refuse to check my self out at any store unless I’m going to get a discount for checking myself out what is happening is cashers are going to be fazed out like when you went to a gas station and got the full service and the attendant filled your gas tank! get rid of self check out!!!

This Kroger is small compared to others giving limited space to have a layout some would like to have. They have been remodeling it some this year though. I have gone after the rush at times and they appear to be out of stock but they are restocking as I’m shopping, so sometimes you have to wait to get the foods(especially fresh fruit and veggies) you want. Their food inspection rating is A in the store, A in the deli/bakery and B+ in the meat/fish departments as of April 2014. First thing in the morning and after 8pm are the best times to shop, in my opinion.

I really have no idea why this store got such bad reviews. I live about 1 mile away and shop here almost exclusively. They carry everything most people use regularly and them some. I eat pretty healthily and am on a budget. I’ve never had trouble finding variety and quality produce. Like every store, the produce is less ripe when it first comes in.(The avocados say«ripe when soft»; read carefully. The fine print on the sticker is the distributors choice.) This Kroger doesn’t have much organic stuff and they stopped carrying tofu, but that’s not unusual for most grocers around here. The Kroger on Beltline is much larger and carries their specialty items. The lines here are not long at all. I have health problems and can’t stand for long. I specifically go to this store because I never have to wait behind more than one person and often don’t have to wait at all. I think that people having good experiences just don’t think to write a review about their grocery store. These bad reviews are rarities if you look at the dates.

This store is in serious need of a makeover. I would not buy produce or meat here. Nor would I attempt to do a full grocery run here. This store is good for in and out purchases only. Five items max. And I can’t be the only one who thinks the layout here makes no sense.

Anyone ever try to buy already cooked biscuits? No, Kroger doesn’t have them either.

I bought bread there a few weeks ago that was bad, there fruit and vegtables are disgusting. Half of them have mold, their«ripe» avacado’s are far from ripe, half the fruit has mold, lines get long and the cashier even told me to go to the mexican grocery store off Rock Island. After this last trip, I will be checking that out. Unless I really need something I will no longer shop here.

Since I live a stone’s throw from Kroger, I try only to go there if I need something and don’t want to drive 15 minutes. They don’t have anything ultra fabulous but if your running low on milk or eggs or butter, this isn’t a horrible place. The lines tend to back up, so I’d keep shopping if their longer than norm.
