This Goodwill is located in a sketchy part of Irving so just a warning in advance. I have donates several items to this Goodwill and the employees are mostly unfriendly and have very little to say. They also do not help with the items you are donating, so if you have heavy items, you are pretty much screwed. This Goodwill does not sell furniture, in case you are looking for some. I was looking for some shabby chic items to renovate, but all they carry is household goods and clothing. It has that typical dirty clothes smell, like most thrift stores. Items are super cheap, so it is a very good place if you are needing clothes to wear for renovation/painting or even Halloween. Nothing great and I did not see any name brand, awesome deals.

I don’t recall finding a goodwill with a collection of games as big as this one. Impressive! Many games and puzzles in very good/new shape. Also there were many shelves of cups and artwork. There are also many baskets and coats and storage containers/racks/shelves. Cashier was friendly too! Don’t be deceived if the store looks abandoned — most likely it’s open.

This is a typical Goodwill store. It’s pretty big, in a stand alone building, and easy to get to from Hwy 183. It’s bright and well lit. My main complaint is that many items aren’t priced, which means you take everything to the register to ask for price, or carry it around til you check out then decide to buy it or leave it. It also means that pricing is inconsistent, depending on employees mood at the time. I think prices can tend to lean toward the high side, but I have got some bargains there. A few employees are helpful and courteous, most not. They have very little furniture, if at all, but have a pretty good book section. I’ve been in worse thrift stores, but it’s not one of my favorites.

I almost hate reviewing and drawing any attention to this location because I want to keep it all to myself. Passed by this location last Sunday on my way to get my Empa Mundo fix and decided to drop by. Hit the jackpot on some chandeliers, tons of stereo equipment, housewares. Found a cool retro electric clock for my antique booth! I LOVE that it ISN’T organized — everything is just junked and piled up on shelves… that is how you find the goodies that people overlook! The Goodwill’s in Mid-cities have all been picked over and alot of DIY’ers and designers get the goods before you can get there on the weekends so this is a good under-shopped location. Prices are CHEAP. Only downer is there is NO furniture. But I will definitely be back when I need«smalls» — happy thrifting! And don’t go to this location… hee heh

I believe this was my first time into a Goodwill; I was wholly unimpressed. We went looking at more of the housewares, but that section of the store looks like a big junk pile. The shelves seemed like mere suggestions of where the items should be put, but really they’re only purpose was to designate where the walkways were NOT supposed to be. Normally, I would just let it go and not expect that much from a thrift store, but I’ve been to the Salvation Army(off Inwood?) and I know it doesn’t have to be like that. Perhaps the difference is that most people when donating to Goodwill just put it in a plastic trash bag and drop it off at one of the drop-off points. I suppose if it arrives in a trash bag, it’s assumed to be trash!
