Worst chinese food I have ever had! I was so disappointed I ordered mongolian beef, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, dan dan noodles and wontons. They didn’t even bring the sauce for the wontons and after spending $ 50 + on food my guests and I had to order pizza because it was frankly absolutely disgusting! The only thing remotely edible were the fortune cookies.

Being new to this area and all I went. On some of the reviews to try this place… I was so so so let down. It was thw worst Chinese food ever(and I love Chinese food) the lo mein was dry and bland. I added 6! Packets of soy and it still was horrible. The chicken and broccoli was white amd slimy and tasted just as bad, by the way it made my kids sick for 2 days! and it was pretty damn expensive for horrible food. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is 1 for the speed bad food came out pretty fast and the décor it was colorful. #gosomewhereelse #dontwasteyourmoney.

Gold Dragon is a small Chinese restaurant located near the intersection of Pioneer and W Irving Blvd. that not only delivers but surprisingly also has a drive-thru. Seems like it is mostly popular for the delivery and pick-up rather than dine-in. It is small but kept well place that serves the usual Chinese fares. Regular items are like 7 – 8 bucks with few more expensive specialty items. I tried the chicken-n-shrimp Szechuan with wanton soup and egg-roll. The wanton soup was small for $ 2.50 and was pretty plain like a boiled chicken broth; the egg-roll was just OK. The chicken-n-shrimp was spicy and good but was overtly coated with sauce. The fried rice included was good. Overall, a decent place for a regular Chinese items to pick-up if you are from the nearby area.

I have been looking for a non-buffet Chinese food place near here for a while. I finally found one. While $ 7.57-$ 7.95 may seem to be a little high. It is worth every penny. Portions are good sized. Service is good. The Kung Pow Chicken was seasoned perfectly. The Hot & Sour soup had a little sweetness that I have not experienced before but it was good. I will be back.

This is my go-to place in Irving for good Chinese and friendly service. On the south side of town we do not have much Chinese, yet alone any that deliver. I have never ordered anything that wasn’t made fresh and I found delicious. The orange chicken is amazing, and it’s got a good bite(spice) to it. The staff is always extremely friendly. We usually pick up our order instead of delivery because delivery can take a little while. I do not fault them for this because they are a small mom and pop type place and they usually only have one person to delivery food. When you drive by they look like they don’t have a lot of business, but most people have their food delivered. They’ve been around for years and I definitely recommend them. If they weren’t making any money, they wouldn’t be around as long as they have.

I ordered online at 8:36 pm. They called me at 9:42 and said they were 10 min away. 9:48 they called and said they were here. He wasn’t. He went to the wrong place down the street, so much for GPS. 20 min later and me standing out in the middle of the road, got my food. I watched him drive past me once, and you have to do a huge U-turn around the rail line and back to get back to my office. Well, it wasn’t piping hot anymore but it was pretty good. I had the orange chicken, huge, they were chicken boulders! Huge portion and good flavor. I do not dig brown rice, it seems too«chewy» to me, so I did not eat it. I also had the Crabmeat Cheese Wontons, had I gotten them in person and not had to have them delivered, they would have been awesome. They were still damn good, but you just know they could have been better. Oh, I also got a free Chinese calendar for the wait. I am a sucker for FREE! I will eat there again.

I went here for lunch on my own because it’s right down the street from where I work. While the service was fast and friendly and the staff never rushed me, the food was horrendous. I’m cool with cheap Chinese American standards, so it wasn’t like I was expecting Peter Chang or something, but this was the worst. I had a Szechwan style shrimp, chicken and vegetable dish. The sauce was thick, too salty and not spicy enough. The shrimp was tiny and looked like it had been previously frozen for months. The chicken was okay in terms of texture, but drowned in the abysmal sauce. The rice was mushy. It came with hot and sour soup(one of my favorites) but the soup was… sweet. Like, duck sauce sweet. And not hot. It also came with an egg roll(did I mention they gave me enough food for 4 people for only $ 7? Great deal, too bad I didn’t want to eat it or take it with me). The egg roll was crisp but the wrapper was too dense and the filling was sparse and mealy. The vegetables in the stir fry were mostly celery(overcooked) and peas(complete mush). All in all, I will not go back. I hate to say that, because the staff seemed really kind and courteous, but it’s not worth it. I’m getting an MSG headache just thinking about it.

I wouldn’t know how anything tastes don’t expect your food anytime soon after ordering it. After waiting an hr with no call about an update of running late I called them they put me on hold and then told me he was on his way then hung up on me. The driver came an hour and a half later and asked for my credit card after I had already given it to them over the phone. I handed the food back and told them to go. This was by far the worst customer service I’ve ever had anywhere.

This is my go-to Chinese delivery place. There aren’t a lot of places in this part of town that deliver, and this one has the bonus of being pretty darn good :) Ditto Jamie’s review that the rangoons are great(they’re called Crabmeat Cheese Wontons on the menu). Portions are ample, always arrive hot, and are very tasty. My favorites are the Pepper Steak, Cashew Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken.

Right next door to Potz is this Gold Dragon Chinese resturant. I keep driving by and looking with pity upon it. They have a drive thru and there’s usually no one in their parking lot. Just for kicks, my husband and I decided to try it to snack on something while we were waiting for our pizza. We got Crab cheese wontons(crab ragoon) and a dinner order of Pepper steak and onion. I was throughly shocked it was very tasty. For 8.50, the dinner portion was large, included steamed brown rice, a fried wonton, egg roll and arrived to us piping hot.(Even after the 5 minute jolt home!) The Crab ragoon was different but very good. The outside perfectly fried and flaky, the inside was moist and flavorful. I will definately go back and my rating will go up.
