I also fell for the Groupon offer for a haicut at this salon and unfortunately had the very inexperienced Taylor cut my hair… She cut it straight across in several different places. It looks awful! I hate it. I have been looking for a new place to patronize because I am new to Dallas and was waiting to get my haircut when I visited NY where I moved from… But its not always convenient to get an appointment there :( My haircut looks awful and I am annoyed! So here I am reviewing the nonsense! Noone mentioned when I called to make the appointment how difficult it would be to locate the salon! Its in a HUGE office bldg with a gigantic garage and they are tucked away… Never again.

I also used a Groupon for Crisp Salon and loved the idea of $ 49 for a few highlights, cut, and a style. Of course, when I arrived my hair was long so that was a $ 20 fee, then since I had previous dye still in my hair they charged me another $ 20 for something to even out the tones. Everything went so quickly I hardly realized my gal was done when she was taking the robe off of me.(Definitely a plus, but I also felt a little in a daze and not in control) All in all it’s a great salon, I received great results, it’s just that I ended up paying more than I had intended. I liked the salon, but not enough that I’ll go back.

I purchased a groupon and had never been to this salon. I went on August 3 and had a great haircut with Karen. She took the time to listen to what I wanted and asked questions throughout the haircut to make sure it was to my satisfaction. I was really impressed and plan to return soon.

received a hair cut on Tuesday of this week. I can safely say I will never go back. I had a hair style that was a bit more modern until this haircut. I basically just needed a trim to shape it back up; however, the stylist went a totally different way and now my hair looks like crap; can’t be styled, and now just look like every other douche white colar fool. The only thing going for me in the looks deptartment was my hair; now I just look like a generic guy. Thanks Crisp. take away from the only thing going for me. Never cut corners with hair haircut; I would could less out of moisturizer on my hand or a hot towel on my face(I can’t do that myself). valuable lesson here.

This was my first time having my hair trimmed and shaped and Steven did a wonderful job. He was expert had dealing with my thick hair and split ends. It was styled incredible well too. I will be making this my neighborhood salon for sure!

Carmen does a great job working with hard to manage, thick, long black hair. I was able to book an appt on the fly and got in. I had asked the receptionist who they had for long thick hair and Carmen was my person. She really did do a great job with the cut and I loved the result. The only thing I wasn’t happy about was how my hair grew back. I had a lot of texture issues when it came time for my next cut but that’s not Carmen’s fault. They validate parking which is great but I had found the Salon hard to find since there weren’t signs guiding me when I entered the building. So go early if you’re challenged like me at following directions.

I redeemed a Groupon for a «Makeover Package» at Crisp Salon. In my package, I was SUPPOSED to get an express mani-pedi(which I did and it turned out great), a blow dry & style and a make up application. Unfortunately, here I am after my appointment very displeased with the service and the staff. My mani-pedi was very high quality. I have no complaints. However, when I went to get my blow dry and style, the staff member responsible for doing my hair informed me that it’s only a blow dry. I spoke up and said the Groupon I purchased included a style as well but the staff member cut me off and said no, blow dry only. I was a little peeved, but I took the blow dry anyway. I asked for a blow dry with a bit of wave and some body to it. The staff member told me it was not possible because my hair is too fine. Funny, I’ve had it done before by another stylist without any hesitation. During my hair washing and blow drying, the staff member repeatedly told me I needed a trim even after I said no thank you a couple of times. They also went on to say how bad of condition my hair was(I have split ends, I know this) and spoke very condescendingly. At one point, she ordered ‘Get a trim soon and when you do, no more layers. Your hair already looks too thin.’ I have NEVER had anyone from the cosmetic industry speak to me that way. It was very unprofessional and unwanted advice. After that, I went on to get my make up done by a different staff member, maybe the receptionist. She was very sweet but I ended up get less than desirable results. My «makeup application» consisted of tinted moisturizer and eye shadow. I had to ask for mascara after being rushed out by another staff member. The end result was a very heavy eye look that looked like a young child had done. I immediately gave them my Groupon and left. Needless to say, I will not be back to Crisp Salon.

As a recent transplant to the Los Colinas area, I have searched for a good Aveda salon. Found it! I got a terrific cut from Carmen, who clearly was confident and ready to take care of my too long and tired thick curly mane. Everyone in the salon was very nice, made me feel at home and welcome. Best of all, I like my hair!

All issues solved. About an hour after I submitted my review, Patsy called me directly to inquire what happened. Turns out there was misscommunication amongst her team, and she offered to give me a complete refund. Her sweet apology, and such a fast attempt to solve the issue, fixed everything for me. Her approach was very professional and informal(in a sweet way) all at the same time. Thank you Patsy for such a fast response. Yes, I’ll be back now :).
