Great place to take pictures, go for a run and even hit the library. As my sister and I were browsing for places around Irving to go to, we stumbled upon this park while searching on Google. Sadly no reviews at the time to match up with the park, but ladies and gents I present you the 2nd review to come up about place!(BTW: This isn’t a park with swings and a playground) This is definitely a hidden gem in Irving! It’s a really nice clean park(besides all the algae that grows in the lake and the trash that occasionally floats in the lake…) I even shot a spontaneous photoshoot at the park and it was awesome. The park also has seats lined up around the lake and even a small area with picnic tables for the few that like to stop by and munch on a bit of food. Awesome part is that if you’re sweaty hot and aren’t doing so hot in the Texas weather the library is actually only a 5 minute walking distance from the park and it’s nice and clean and really cold in there. Overall, the park was really nice and we really enjoyed the scenery and the nice library nearby. It’s definitely a park that I was surprised wasn’t reviewed on Unilocal

Great getaway spot from all the bustling surrounding cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. Not to mention a great place for all photographers; I would recommend coming during sunrise or sunset when the sun would be in your favor. Relatively large and clean park with lots of different backdrops to play around with. One of the best parts of the park is the fact that it’s located right next to a public library, so you can always count on there being a relatively clean restroom for you while you’re visiting the park. Don’t be fooled by the surrounding areas not being all so lavish looking because when people talk about city hidden gems, Centennial Park is definitely a hidden gem of Irving.
