Biggest portions for any Japanese restaurant. For stars for food quality. Not bad at all. I recommend fried avocados and bento box

Excited to find this place in Las Colinas because of the beautiful outdoor view of the Canals but so disappointed with the food. The First Love sushi maki has no flavor because the rice was not marinaded. The $ 16.99 medium pizza was not good either. The crust was flat and hard; tasted like Sam’s premade pizza crust in the freezer section. Digiorno pizzas would have been so much tastier if they serve it without telling. It was a waste of money.
Maybe the drinks were good because I saw a lot of people came in for the drinks but not so much for the food.
Btw, the service was not expected. No waiter/​waitress even care to serve us and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. We have to ask to take our order.

Pricey!!! 10 wings and fries $ 18 something with tax. I’ve never paid this much for wings and fries ever.

Whoa, I’ve been coming to some iteration of a bar at this location for more than 10 years. It just keep getting worse. $ 5 for a shiner bottle? It’s cheaper to drink at the hotel across the street.
Service? Not bad, except the management treats the servers like crap. Last time I was here sitting at the bar it was very awkward hearing the bartender chew out the hostess.
Do your self a favor. Avoid at all costs. Head down the street.

I’ve been coming to this location since it was The Cellar and have always been a fan. When I learned that they planned to convert it into a lounge and start serving sushi I wasn’t sure they could pull it off…
…but they absolutely crushed it.
The food and drink here are still awesome and I’m of the opinion that the sushi can compete with anything in the area.
If you haven’t checked this place out, or had a bad experience in the past I recommend you try the new menu.
My wife and I keep coming back and I don’t expect that to change.
Kudos to the Avocado crew for providing a great experience.

I would like to provide a review but since we waited over 20 minutes and no one would wait on us, I cannot. We were sitting outside and nothing. Walked inside and asked for help. The lady said she would come out. Never did. Finally a waiter came out and asked us if anyone was helping us. We replied no. He asked «what do you want?». We said we didn’t know because no one had given us a menu. He walked away never to be seen again. We then walked away never to be seen here again.

Came in for dinner and had some amazing sushi the quality of fish is top of the line. I also had some alcoholic beverages that were made just right. I will come back any day.

I was seated immediately. The waiter (Evo) was very attentive. I ordered a burger, medium, with sautéed mushrooms and onions. The burger was overcooked, and there was way too much oil from the sauté. Sent it back. New burger was less oily, however it was still overcooked. Waiter said they would tell management. The fries and the seasoning on the burger are great though.
