This place is a hidden gem! They have a wide variety of Argentinian pastries, such as cheese danishes, sweet croissants, cannolis filled with caramel, and savory empanadas. I tried the cheese danish and the cannoli with caramel, and they were a perfect pick me up!

Pastries are good, empanadas soso, service is always not very friendly, they are usually busy so hey aren’t very nice, with regulars they seem nicer but, honestly always rude with me. Prices are high but, the desserts are worth it food not so much! Hope they open another Argentine restaurant soon sine I love the food but, this place is just ok!

In love with the Mayan mocha! The chicken empanadas is great, i trird the beef with eggs and jalapeño too but, id favor the chicken. It’s hard to decide what to take home. They have a lot of options. Ilove this place, id definitely be back SOON!

Not consistent, you may or may not get a good service or product. Sunday 1÷17÷15 place was dirty, coffee taste old and the two girls who were there didn’t seem to care at all. We will not visit again.

Not too many bakery spots in the Las Colinas areas. Trekked to this little spot. Decent selection. I ordered the Mayan Mocha and and Pionono(caramel type bread pastry). Both delicious! Prices are probably a bit on the expensive end. I would definitely recommend this spot and I will be back.

This is honestly the place you’ll want to stop by to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and want a much quiet place to study, have a nice chat with a friend or just catch up on your favorite book rather than Starbucks. Their variety of pastries along with coffee is amazing, not to mention their delicious empanadas. Very satisfied with the environment since it always makes me feel welcome. I wouldn’t order a cake from here though. My mom’s friend ordered a cake for her baby shower and when she went to pick it up the lady that gave it to her ruined the top of the cake by pressing the box too hard and wanted my mom’s friend to take it like that anyways, she refused and demanded her money back since it was not her fault. They offered to fix it and deliver it to her the next day after she demanded to speak with the manager. When they dropped it off the cake was pink instead of blue like she had originally ordered it. To make things short, the taste of the cake left a lot to wish for. It was our first time ordering a cake from here and our last.

I’m spoiled. I lived in Miami, and often get to visit many different Argentine bakeries. I also lived in Houston, and there’s a few there — but they’re actually very good(especially my «beloved» Asturias bakery). This one, unfortunately, falls short in almost every respect, much to my surprise. Here are the reasons why: CONS: 1) Limited selection of facturas(Argentine version of danish pastries) — none of the traditional type with membrillo/quince jam. This one had the even sweeter guava jam instead. And the pastelera crema(pastry cream) that’s used in every factura except for the media luna(croissant shaped ones) are just horrible as there’s no flavor in it — it was very bland, not even sweet, and apparently not made with love. 2) Empanadas — there’s only three traditional types here: the ground beef with egg, raisin, etc; the chicken which they were out of but hopefully was made in a similar fashioned; and the spinach. They did not have the other classics such as the humita(corn), onion and cheese, capresa, arabe(spicy beef), and on and on. The other ones they had was definitely Texan — beef with jalapeño, brisket, etc. I stuck with the Argentine staples — and while I liked that they were empanadas de hojaldre, made with puff pastry dough, the fillings for the beef and spinach empanadas I got were very little that the empanadas collapsed to the touch due to the amount of empty air inside. In other words, they were skimpy with the fillings. And even so, the beef empanadas were not as good as the other popular empanada place not too far from this one. 3) Missing Argentine staples: forget about finding the balcarce/chaja/imperial cakes that is traditionally made with merengue, dulce de leche and peach. And forget about finding the pascualina, the Italo-Argentine spinach pies. Forget also finding fresh juices. Forget finding the lomito, choripan, or any other quick Argentine savory bites — the empanadas and the migas(thin simple sandwiches with thin breading) are as savory as it gets here. In fact this«Argentine» bakery is the extreme lite version of any Argentine bakery I’ve ever been to. Ever. Anywhere. PROS: And here’s what little of a saving grace they may have left: 1) Their selection of alfajores may be bar none in the DFW area(since we all know that DFW lacks in South American goodies anyways). 2) They sell the Mr. Tango brand of Argentine chorizo sausages that I normally buy all the time in Miami — they’re superior to the Doble A brand that is found in every Fiesta Mart. And as long as local Argentine sausages are not found, Mr. Tango is the best you can get. 3) Coffee — in reality this is what most of the people are here for — when I came in, it seemed like everyone was using the space as an American-styled coffee shop — with laptops, iPods, homework, and the whole shebang. This is not typical of an Argentine bakery, even though it’s often used as a coffee spot in Miami — but it’s also used as a social hangout(coupled maybe with some soccer games on TV) rather than a place of isolated solitude. But the people sitting inside didn’t seem to fit the Latin profile anyways. I guess it’s how this place caters to the American market and get so much of its reviews. 4) Some of the other sweets that they DO have, do look good — even though the facturas are definitely in my avoid list. But really, you’d do yourself a favor by ordering directly from some Argentine lady through Facebook where things would be made with better love and care. Or even by making a trek to Houston.

This place is located further back from the road in a slightly newer strip mall. Visited it after a good sushi place just a few hundred yards north. Perfect place for someone who likes the idea of chilling at a warm inviting café without the crowd. After dinner Tiramisu and Mayan mocha was a delicious experience. Service was good, coffee was good, ambiance was good, tiramisu was great. 5-stars because it was just what I needed after a long day.

eww~~ mediocre pastries, bad drinks, dirty place. why go here. I walk into the place, immediately to my right are two dirty tables~ on top of one was an open bag of cookies that perhaps a child was eating out of, the other table had a wet rag that someone on staff was using to clean but stopped mid-way. I get that places get busy and so you need to stop what you’re doing and serve the customer first, but at least take the rag back with you. Trash bins were full past the brim, coffee cups were coming out of the bin and some were on the floor~ much of the shop was just really messy. I ordered a simple hot chocolate, but when i got it, it was pretty much just milk with a tad of chocolate in it. The pastries were pretty dry. Also, looking at some of the fruit pastries through the case, they looked weirdly shiny, almost as if they were canned rather than fresh. I dunno, it’s just some place to avoid entirely. Dirty, unkept, bad pastries, bad drinks, why bother.

I think I spent close to a $ 100 here the first time I went. I walked in with my husband and 2 kids. Grabbed a few things to try(it was my daughter’s Bday and we wanted to spoil her a little bit). Well, we went back to the counter 3 more times and ended up leaving with a dulce de leche cake for her bday. BTW, not a single crumb was left over that night. We tried pretty much 3 – 5 of everything in the sweets cases and 2 small meat pies. Not a fan of the meat pies but Good Lord their sweets are amazing. I gotta go back and get some coffee next time. The Pastry case: Everything that had fruit on it, was very fresh. no bad fruit. No old or stale pastry. The cream fillings were divine. Its a place that you really have to watch your wallet cause you will just hand it to the super nice and informative girl behind the glass, so that your eyes can be bigger than your stomach.

My review pertains only to the empanadas. I tried the beef and the ham and cheese empanadas and they were both relatively bland. The filling was generous, but it had minimal flavor. I also had a meringue/dulce the leche pasty that was good and the desserts there looked absolutely spectacular. I may go back to try other desserts but would not make my way there for empanadas, unfortunately.

I’m so happy I found this little coffee and dessert shop. It’s filled with lots of decadent and sinfully good sweet treats. Too many too choose from and lots of things filled with dulce de leche. The location is difficult to find, unless you happen to see it off beltline close to the soup and salad. Behind several restaurants and buildings. I’ve driven by it actually thinking they were closed. The closing time is not posted and the open sign is never on. So yesterday I took on the challenge to actually open the door and see if indeed they were in business. To my surprise, they were. Thankfully so. Beware! Many of the deserts have labels but they aren’t in English. The employee was super sweet to help me make a few decisions and told me what was in the baked goods. Prices are super reasonable compared to a Starbucks and their desserts. There are plenty of comfy chairs to sit and relax while chatting with friends. They also sell bags of coffee too. I gave it 4 stars due to the location, no hours posted, and never turning on the Open sign. I can’t wait to try the cakes next time. Enjoy

Dulce de leche is the theme here! Yummy!!! Super variety of little pastries as well as large cakes, many with puff pastry and dulce de leche. My favorite are the besitos which are little bites of puff pastry with a dollop of dulce de leche sandwiched in between, and the conitos which are a sugar cookie topped with an insane amount of dulce de leche(think of how the ice cream in an ice cream cone looks all piled high) then dipped in chocolate to make a shell. The one star deduction I gave is due to an occasional issue with freshness. You can’t serve puff pastry more than a day old, guys, just stahp. It’s an infrequent enough occurrence to remain only a 1 star deduction for now though. I wish they had a dulce de leche flavored coffee, but they do have caramel mocha which is delicious. I have yet to try their empanadas or Argentinian sandwiches because, and I feel bad saying this, I always stop and get empanadas from EmpaMundo down the street(they are UNreal, you gotta try them too) and then stop for pastries and coffee here at Argentina Bakery. Oops. The new clerk they have is awesome!!! The service has always been rather indifferent in the past, but she’s awesome and friendly and she makes better coffee too. I still drive up here even though I’ve moved away from Irving!

I found this place through Unilocal and after looking at all the pictures I just had to try it! This café is a great place to chill with friends because they have comfortable couches and if it’s a nice day outside they also have patio chairs. They have an amazing selection of pastries that look so beautiful! I got the roscas which is a strawberries and crème pastry. It was delicious and I definitely recommend it! The fruit tart was a little difficult to eat because the crust was a little hard but it definitely looked perfect. I also got besitos which is a small puff pastry with a sweet caramel sauce in the middle. It was amazing! Definitely get more than 3 of those. I really wish this place wasn’t so far from me, otherwise I’d come here every week!

This place blew me away. Primarily because I did not expect such goodness! I am delighted to know that Irving has a place filled with so much culture and so much goodness. This is one thing that has always disturbed me about Irving. I had yet to discover a real coffeehouse(other than Starbucks) with a real coffeehouse feel. I stumbled upon a gem with this one! I was highly impressed with pretty much every aspect of my visit. I was a little worried with it being in a strip mall that doesn’t have much to offer, but as soon as I walked in, those concerns became null and void. As soon as you walk in, you will feel 100% different than you did when you pulled into the strip mall. I am giving 5 stars because of the culture and goodness this place brings to Irving, which is in desperate need. Especially on the side of town in which it is located. We were just passing by, so we got our desserts to go. I can’t wait to go back, dine in and have some good espresso whilst I read. Seems like a great place to do so. We ordered the strawberry and chocolate masitas and they were absolutely amazing. The texture and flavor were similar to tres leches cake, which is a fave of mine, so I was won over by that, alone. We also ordered the caramel-filled lenguas and they were perfectly light and perfectly flaky. Another winner with those. We also tried a few other dessert variations and they were also delicious. I totally recommend this place for a good, authentic, cultural experience or if you want good dessert or a good coffeehouse feel!
