I ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich. The piece of chicken was HUGE, but lacked seasoning honestly. I couldn’t really taste any type of seasoning in the breading at all… not even salt. BUT it was juicy and cooked perfectly. Maybe next time I’ll try a burger… maybe I’ll like it better.

I went to the food truck event at Cypress Village. I order a combo with fried green bean. Excellent service and restaurant quality food. Burger is very juicy even I ate at room temperature after I drove back home. Definitely recommended!

mmmmmmm!!! i don’t remember when was the last time i finished a whole burger(using my hands!), with the bunS, and fries… all by myself… WAIT, it was today! i was lucky enough to drive by this food truck event and spotted The Cut. i got the Savory burger with cut fries… o.m.g. everything was seasoned perfectly! every bite of my burger is juicy and flavorful… i devoured the thing within 10 mins. seriously. and it is not your usual slider size burger… it’s a FULLSIZE burger! you could also taste the freshness in the fries — the salt might be a little too much for me… but who doesn’t need a little sodium in your body? i felt too guilty to order a shake… but i really wanted to! next time if i get to see them again, i definitely will! only regret is that i did not snap a good photo of my burger… my whole 10 fingers were covered in GOOD grease… ugh!

Ummm I don’t have much to say about this food truck just that its a ripoff. Food trucks shouldn’t be able to get away with such high prices especially burger ones. The bacon on their burger is good but when is bacon never good.

I had the basics — Burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and that Cut sauce(garlic mayo), plus some hand-cut fries. Burger surpassed all expectations: juicy, tender, firm, and the toppings perfectly supported. The bun was likewise perfect. Fries, although they came out a little cold and slightly dry/chewy, were nonetheless very tasty. Would have given them five stars except they are VERY expensive. $ 13.49 for a burger and fries with no drink.

Ordered the Classy Cut burger and I can’t understand how this business has a 4 star rating. When it came out, the burger was much smaller than expected. The bun was either barely toasted or not at all. After getting over the initial disappointment, I took a bite. It was tasty, but nothing stood out. It was very greasy. The sauce they put on my burger had no defining qualities as related to flavor. It was just white and creamy. I couldn’t tell whether the patty was flame-grilled or fried on a hot plate. About the only thing I really liked about my burger was the sweet onions. But at $ 10.99, shouldn’t there be more to it?

We were at the tet fair on Friday. I’ve had them book marked for some time now and when I saw them; I got pretty excited. They definitely delivered. One of the best burgers I had. I usually don’t care for thicker cut patties but boy this thing almost melted in my mouth. Most thick patties tend to be dry n crumbly. Not these burgers. I will be a new Cut follower. Yay for me!

I ate at the Cut burger truck yesterday with some of my coworkers whilst at the MD&M West expo in Anaheim. The line wasn’t too long and it was just nearing noon when we ordered. I ordered the basic All-American burger combo which came with lettuce and tomato in addition to fries and a drink. I added cheddar cheese to my burger. At the time, I didn’t realize that we were expensing the meal, so I regretted not ordering their savory or original burger instead. Our burgers came out fast, too fast if you ask me. By the time I sat down to eat, I realized that my burger was cold, as if it had been precooked and just ready to be assembled but they waited too long so it was cold. I couldn’t tell if the potato bun was toasted or not, because it was also cold. Sure it was soft, but it had that texture of coming out of the fridge. My fries on the other hand, were piping hot and crispy. At least they got that right. I like the idea that their food is sustainable, locally sourced, etc but if my burger is cold, then there’s a problem. I might try them again but not for a while.

Last Friday, I was thisclose to getting a salad in the cafeteria downstairs. But then I remembered it was Super Bowl weekend, and eating healthy was not on my agenda. As usual, I was craving a burger, so I Unilocaled«burgers,» and found out The Cut was just down the street from work. So off I went. As tempting as the other burgers sounded, I decided I’d go with the basic cheeseburger my first time around. I ordered the Original Cut(medium rare) and a side of the Fried Green Beans(because green beans, even when fried, will off-set anything else you eat). The green beans were enjoyable. I love green beans in general. Frying them was a nice change. My first impression of the burger was that it was generous in size; I was expecting a small burger for some reason. The bun seemed too bready at first, but after taking a few bites, I realized it was actually proportional to the meat. I thought it was pretty good. The patty could have been seasoned a little more, and it wasn’t as juicy as others said it was. There was plenty of cheese(a good thing), but even with the Cut Sauce, there wasn’t enough oomph for my liking. A good quality burger, nonetheless. I think I’ll go with the Classy or Savory Cuts next time… they sound like they’d have that oomph I’m looking for.

I’m a fan of burgers… And I have had my fair share of them. This by far blows everything else away. The classic cut is my go to presently but the menu is varied enough to keep just about anyone interested. The meat is of superior quality and the brioche bun maintains such a perfect contrasting texture to the patty that it’s almost sinful to eat. It astounds me that this all culminates out the back of a food truck. You can catch them at the bottle logic one of the best breweries in the OC. Disclaimer: I can’t prove this but they make sprinkle crack on the burgers as I find them to be highly addictive.

Ordered the original cut. Not impressed at all. The fries were good but not the burger. It feels like they use Costco ingredients. Cheese was horrible. You don’t feel the quality ingredients taste that you would expect from a gourmet food truck. Just a regular burger that taste like in-n-out…

Thursday is always food truck day over my work office aka the day Truong Tran gets some new reviews up. So I made my way over and notice a line. No worries my lunch ends whenever I want it to end… jk please don’t fire me ahaha. I notice the Cut truck has the biggest line(that must mean its good) so I decided to grab lunch here. I see on their menu that they also sell ice cream. Ok I’m sold. I place an order for a savory cut and a classy cut burger for me and my big sis Lena along with the nutella crunch and coffee oreo ice cream. We didn’t wait long for our food which is extra points in my books. The savory cut is really savory lol. Its super juicy though I wish I would have added maybe an egg and some extra extra bacon for the heart attacks. The classy cut was nice but had too much cheese though still very very tasty. All the flavors were well blended together. The nutella crunch was super sweet, maybe a bit too sweet but its nutella so it was bomb. The coffee oreo was super nice. It was perfect for me. I needed some coffee and oreo are always a bonus to my day. Great texture and very delicious. Overall this was a wonderful food truck. I had a great lunch experience here though it can be a bit pricey. The total was about 40 bucks which is a bit insane for lunch but sometimes you gotta pay the cost to be a boss.

Compared to some other competing burger trucks within the OC, The Cut definitely stands a chance. I LOVE their burger options, as hubby and I have tried a few of them: The Original, Classy Cut, and Savory Cut burgers are ALL yummy. Creamy, juicy, steamy… and the buns? Don’t even get me started. Done. Period. Eat it!

So glad to run into these guys at BlizzCon! My boyfriend’s brother let me sample their fries, and I was sold on lunch! I ordered the Original Cut. What a dream cheeseburger that was! The meat was juicy, the cheese was creamy, the pickles were crunchy and it was all tied together with a special sauce on a fantastic potato bun. I docked em –1 Star because the fries I received were totally different than the ones my brother’s boyfriend received 15 min prior. They were great, but not as crispy floppy delicious as the thicker dark gold ones I first tasted. I’d definitely visit these folks again — getting the Savory Cut next time!

Great burger, very tasty and it was nice to be able to order the meat cooked anyway I wanted. My wife had the chicken cutlet sandwich with green beans and fries. The fries would be good, but it seems they gave me all the crunchy leftovers, most of the fries were less than inch long and crunchy, like I got the basket shake… I would definitely eat from this place again.

Super awesome burger food truck! I learned of this place because it was stationed right outside of a brewery(Bottle Logic) that we were going to check out. I got their Savory Burger and it was perfection in every bite! It has bacon relish, Swiss cheese, aioli and 3,000 sauce. I also got a side order of their fried green beans with ranch sauce. Sounds strange, but they were to die for! The food came out fairly quickly and they delivered it to us inside the brewery as we were doing a tasting. Highly recommended and I am now craving it as I write this!

The Cut serves one of the better burgers in OC. It is a food truck. So, you need to look at their schedule online and determine where they are stopping. I ordered the Savory Cut burger that came with bacon relish, swiss cheese, aioli splash(their name for sauce) and the 3000 splash priced at $ 11. The burger patty had a nice beefy, charred flavor and was pretty rich and moist. They put this bacon relish on that has bacon pieces, capers and what looked like little smashed grapes. It was really good and complimented the burger patty very well with the richness of the bacon and the sweet, tangy and slight pepper flavor of the capers and little smashed grapes. The bun was very good being moist, buttery and bready holding up well to the burger patty and other ingredients. Also, the swiss was a good choice for this rendition of a burger. The fries were excellent priced at $ 3.50. They were the type with the skin on the outside which I like. They were nicely cooked being crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. They give you a side of their 3000 splash for dipping. The 3000 sauce was really good.

One of the best burgers I have ever had. «Intricately simple» is their concept and it works so well, words cannot express my joy. I ordered the Original and it only has four components: meat, cheese, cut splash sauce, and pickles. It’s served on a little paper tray and there’s so little to it that it looks unimpressive, but don’t be fooled. The bun is perfectly toasted to a crisp and the meat is juicy but doesn’t make a mess. Beats Five Guys, The Counter, and maybe Mick’s Karma Bar and In-N-Out? The burger was so good that after I finished it, I went back to try the fries which were not a disappointment. They’re on the cripsy/crunchy side and I actually prefer them without the cut splash sauce. Simple actually works here. They were out of shakes and green beans the first time I went so I came back the next week to try a shake, and this time they didn’t have whipped cream. Nbd though. The Nutella crunch shake had a fun sized crunch bar put in after it was all blended up which was a fun surprise. Although they were still good, the shakes were probably the least remarkable item for me and at $ 4.50 I probably won’t be getting another one.

Occasionally the wife’s job brings us to Irvine. I like to hit popular food trucks when there. Some I’ve visited were on that-Food-Network-show-where-all-the-food trucks-race, and others were pioneers in the food truck game(Kogi). «The Cut» seemed popular, and was scheduled to be at «Food Truck Fridays» at Monkey Sports on Barranca Parkway. That’s the same place I had visited«The Lime Truck» last time. «Tri Tip Man», which also intrigued me, was also supposed to be there, but was having mechanical problems, which I didn’t find out until I was there. So, the karmic gods led me to «The Cut»! The line at noon straight up was steady, but not long. At least that day, no one had to wait more than a couple folks in line ahead of them. The young lady at the window did a great job of making sure I understood the concept and menu. Instead of the«design your own», though, I wanted to have what they would consider to be their signature burger. And that’s the Savory. Here in Texas, we have a saying: Good BBQ doesn’t need sauce. And the slogan for The Cut follows that same mindset: «Intricately Simple». Sure, if you always need lettuce and tomatoes on your burger, they will hook you up. But the three burgers they list on their menu, by design, do not come with them. The Savory«simply» includes a bacon relish on melted Swiss, with a garlic aioli and their take on Thousand Island dressing. I’ve been burned by places before that do a «bacon jam», where it’s finely diced and put on the burger cold, and then you just spend the next 10 minutes picking bacon bits out of your teeth. But I was assured that would not be the case here, and it wasn’t. The burger was everything you’d want a burger to be. Thick and juicy, seasoned well, cooked to my requested temp, a bun that held up well, and with a great balance of the ingredients. Did I mention how juicy it was? Just grab a couple napkins, and go for it! The fries are also good. So if you do go all out, it won’t be a cheap lunch(both in calories and $). But I didn’t drive across Irvine for a run-of-the-mill fast food experience. I came to find one of the best burgers in town. And even though they are only a couple months old, I’m pretty sure I did. 5.00 stars.

Review 800! I don’t recall how I found the Cut, but I’m happy I did! I looked them up and none of my Unilocal friends have tried them yet. Also, they had a damn good rating(5 stars when I first tried them). Browsing their website I see a few key words that shout out in my mind: «quality, freshness, simple» I bought into that philosophy and promptly planned my visit. Since it was my first visit, I wanted to go right to the top of the heap with the Savory Burger(Bacon Relish, Swiss cheese, Aioli Splash, 3000 Splash). Everything worked. The buns were excellent, the sauces and the relish complimented each other, and the Swiss just right. Savory burger indeed! I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but The Cut epitomizes the words quality, freshness, and simple. You could just taste it in every bite. My coworkers had their jaws down at the scent of my burger, but also when I told them the price. I’m no stranger to spending good money on a burger, so $ 11 well spent! I mark my calender every time I see that the Cut is within my lunch radius grasp. As should you. Note: wait was roughly 10 minutes with 3 people in front of me.

A million times, yes! I wasn’t sure if The Cut would live up to the hype because as we know, food trucks can often get overhyped. Well not this one. I came to try it for myself last Saturday when they were parked at Beach City Brewery. My choice was the Original Cut(American cheese, pickles, Cut Splash) and the Fried Green Beans with a side of their Ranch sauce made from scratch. In fact, each of their 4 sauces are made from scratch. The breading on the green beans was crispy and they were a nice accompaniment to the absolutely amazing burger. The website states«Prime cuts of all natural, hormone & antibiotic free, certified humane, angus beef brisket and chuck straight from the butcher’s cutting block.» Sounds great right? It is! The patty was so juicy and while it wasn’t super thick, it definitely filled me up. Let me get to the best part, THECHEESE. It was deliciously melted, oozing out of the sides of the burger. Just the way I like it. The Cut Splash was delectable. I don’t like 1,000 Island so I was afraid that it would taste like that, but it was completely different and added a great flavor component to the burger. To top it off, the buns are fresh baked daily. Our food was out in a timely manner, about 10 minutes. But this was without a long line. The owner(?) delivered our food right to where we were sitting inside the brewery and even came around later to ask if we were enjoying our food. That is the mark of someone who takes pride in what they do and truly cares that their customers have a wonderful experience. I’m already looking forward to the next time The Cut is in my area of town.
