Oak Creek Shopping Center

If vanilla is the most exciting flavor you’ve tasted, you’ll loove this shopping center!
I hate this place with a passion. This shopping center is the blandest in Irvine, comparing to Crossroads or Culver Plaza Shopping Center.

It used to be a pretty center full of trees, but now it looks like any other cookie cutter shopping center that you see from here to Chino Hills. It’s a pity that they killed all those trees for no reason, aside from getting a measly few extra parking spots. Irvine Company just being crappy as ever. Pity.

Upgrades to the center are nice (or as best you can do with all the restrictions the Irvine Company puts on development). They recently put in a high speed internet for their mall, which at first appears really great, but it has some security feature or something that periodically drops my connect if I’m securely logged into my work.
Sometimes all of a sudden I will be on Facebook and just doing something like checking to see who «liked» a comment I made, my cursor will just keep spinning like it’s working on pulling it up. I finally came to realize that the complex’s internet chokes periodically and is super annoying for a lot of people.
The solution is to either disconnect and reconnect (usually fixes this), or… just use Coffee Bean or Mustard’s connection (though they have their own challenges). Again, this is probably related to a security setting, …or whatever it is, is just another lack of quality control on someone’s part.

Another center that the driving of others sometimes makes me nervous. Especially at the moment when there is construction going on.
I really only come to this center for El Pollo Loco, and once in a while Gelsons.
Ive been to the Walgreens few times, they majorly lack customer service.
I went to the Pei Wei here to order dinners for work events sometimes, but it has since closed.
This center also has Baja Fresh, Coffee Bean, Daphnes Greek and a few other places.
I believe the NY Upper Crust Pizza is in this center too — which I order from ALL the time for work — 6 – 10 pizzas at a time and they are amazing — HUGE pizza slices and great customer service. I always do delivery and we are off Jeffrey and Trabuco.
