Located at the Oak Creek golf course. I was the only person in the place for breakfast on a weekday morning so service was predictably quick and cordial. Interior was nice; sort of a clubhouse feel with white cloth napkins at each table setting. There is also substantial outdoor seating. I ordered french toast with sides of bacon and a single scrambled egg. The french toast was made perfectly and had a faint hint of cinnamon to the taste. The bacon was good quality, thick and crispy. The egg was cooked perfectly too, not overdone at all. Even though I am not a ketchup-with-my-egg guy I appreciated that they provided a ramekin of it on the side. A very good breakfast yet nothing extraordinary other than the serene view. Which you pay a little more for.

My favorite thing to do for lunch is try out different golf course cafes, and this has by far been my least favorite. No view of the golf course. The food took 30 minutes and it was soo loud inside. I got a burger with a vegetarian patty as a substitute, and it came with bacon. It’s like the cook wasn’t thinking at all. Who would order a vegetarian burger with bacon? Didn’t like the french fries either, and they look nothing like the ones on these Unilocal pictures. They must have gotten a new menu/recipes because the food on Unilocal was nothing like what my friend and I had. Only gave it 2 stars because the waitresses were very busy but still nice. Would never come again

Wonderful hidden gem for a nice brunch or breakfast. I had a nice sunday brunch recently and the service by the staff as well as the grounds were all wonderful. I never knew of this hidden gem but will be coming back regularly going forward. Even though I don’t golf the grounds are very nice for a walk and to enjoy a nice relaxing brunch. I had a breakfast combo for $ 11 and it was very good and reasonable in price too.

I was looking for a good place to have breakfast/lunch with a gal pal of mine in the Irvine area. I’m really glad I found this place on Unilocal because the last place I would have ever thought to go was a golf course. I was pleasantly surprised with its rustic look on the outside, and the welcome I had going in. The place is so laid back and it’s a perfect atmosphere if you’re meeting up with a friend who you know you’re gonna chop it up with for awhile. The food was good and quite reasonably priced. I had the corned beef hash with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce– I do recommend it, but have nothing else to compare it to on the menu :) The service was excellent and made it an overall good experience.

Went here looking for eggs benedict somewhere I had never had it before. Their eggs benedict is great! Nothing unique about it but it definitely tasted good. I was surprised at the prices, $ 10 for eggs benedict at a two dollar sign place is not bad. they also gave us free refills on mimosas. The only negative is that there were two«reserved» seats next to the fire where we wanted to sit and no one sat the whole time we were there. There are also a lot of preppy people walking around but that’s expected for a golf course.

Good place to have breakfast during the week. Quiet too on a weekday. Service was good. Order a veggie omelette which was good as well. Way better option than Denny’s or IHOP

This café is located at a golf course so it’s their gold club café. No membership required to come eat here, at least for lunch. I came here for a business lunch and really enjoyed myself. You automatically get that pampered feel when you’re eating at a golf course and they have outdoor seating which we took advantage of. Their lunch menu tops out at $ 14 for items and as low as $ 8 I believe. There is a wide range of choices such as soups, salads, sandwiches, warm meals like tacos, quesadillas, burgers, pasta, and braised short ribs. All the items looked appetizing, a couple of people got the salads which were very courteous in portion size and looked delicious. I had the Braised Short Rib, not an overwhelming large plate but just enough to satisfy me. The Short ribs were tender and I enjoyed the sauce, mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables that came with it. It was a very relaxing atmosphere to sit outside and enjoy some quality food and to be surrounded by that golf course ambiance. I’d be interested to come back for happy hour and dinner!

The venue is very pretty and was great for dining al fresco, overlooking the golf course. Went in on a Sunday for brunch and the waitress informed me that they only serve brunch on Easter and Mother’s Day. Must have come in too late because by the time we arrived they were only serving lunch and no bottomless mimosas. :(That saddened my visit, I must admit. We decided to try it out anyway, and I had the pub burger with greens. It was a decent burger, a littler drier than I would have liked, but still alright. The bacon onion jam lacked the bacon goodness flavor. Also ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and it wasn’t very spicy(or flavorful) at all. The staff was attentive and that along with the view made up for the lack of mimosas. All in all, 3.5 star place.

Friendly staff, good food, and great for breakfast or lunch. It can be busy during lunch on a Sunny day or when there’s an event but plenty of seating outdoor and indoor. Great for breakfast in Irvine as there are not too many simple options.

We «sniffed in» at the lunch hour and I believe they were understaffed given the fact that we had to seat ourselves and were ignored for 10 minutes or more. Have you ever experienced those restaurants where the servers purposely avoid eye contact with new patrons walking in the door due to being overwhelmed with the current amount of patrons? Well, that surely seemed to be what occurred here. I put my hand up as servers passed us 5 – 6 times and each time I was unable to get anyone’s attention. Without even a mere acknowledgement of our existence I was really beginning to get annoyed. Regardless, the server who we eventually obtained the attention of was friendly and promptly took our order. The food arrived quickly and was DELICIOUS. The ALBACORETUNAMELT was very nicely done. Too many places are combining nasty fishy«chunk light» tuna with albacore which isn’t ideal. 100% albacore is the only way to go. The wife loved the large COBBSALAD which had finely chopped lettuce. The BLUEMOONBEER on tap with an orange slice was the perfect beer on a slightly warm afternoon after a round of golf. The room has several TV’s featuring golf matches and a large outdoor area is available for dining as well. Hopefully the staffing situation isn’t common given this is a high-end public course. We will surely be back.

Great service great quality breakfast spot in the heart of irvine. This is a very nice public golf club and event facility. The oak creek café has the look and feel of a hotel resort breakfast restaurant but is super casual and food is good and reliable. Far better quality than most breakfast spots, especially chains.

I recently had to return to this venue for another conference. I was really dreading the prospect of having to deal with Pablo again, but thankfully, this time he wasn’t there, and the service staff was efficient, competent, and professional. I also appreciated the fact that the manager personally responded to my last review to apologize, which shows that he cares. Much better experience this time. The food was solid, too.

I sat outside, atmosphere was nice service was standard. I has an Asian salmon said, it was standard not bad, not«omg I need more» awesome. I expected better. I’d come back to golf and enjoy the atmosphere.

What I love about restaurant week is exploring something I haven’t explored before. This was the case with Oak Creek Café. I enjoyed the pre-fixe menu and got some comfort food on a cold rainy day. Butternut squash soap, mac and cheese and a crème brulee for dessert. The cozy location overlooking the golf course, sitting by the fireplace, eating yummy food was just divine. The waitress also was super sweet. One of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Later in the week, a friend asked me about this place and really wanted to try it so «twist my arm» I went again that week. Had the same waitress(YES!!!) and ordered the same food. Why 4 out of 5 stars? The food tasted differently the 2nd time than the 1st. The butternut squash soup tasted so different from the first time — not worse or better — just different. I liked it the same. The mac and cheese was actually creamier which I did admit the first time it was drier than my taste would prefer. I also got like a crisp along with my salad which I didn’t get the first time and the dressing on the salad was different each time too. The waitress came to tell me it was going to take some time to get my crème brulee, so I opted to get the chocolate cake and was not disappointed –it was very good. Overall, I liked it all; however, the inconsistency of food makes me wonder what my 3rd time will be like.

Reasonable prices, attractive presentation, and tasty entrees. Mimosa($ 7) had too much orange juice and very little Prosecco; Bloody Mary($ 8) was flavorfully spicy! Service was pleasant-enough and appreciatively unrushed. Peaceful and relaxing breakfast spot — a delightful find! We’ll definitely return.

I went to Oak Creek Café with a group of 9 on a Sunday morning. The place is spacious and had a great view of the golf course. I ordered the California Eggs Benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly, lemon hollandaise sauce was nice, and a heap of hash browns were served with it. I enjoyed my meal, but I must say I loved it most because of the bottomless mimosas. My friends and I managed to get 4 rounds in with the short of amount of time we had left before it was cut off(stops at 11 am). The mimosas were all very inconsistent, though. One round was almost entirely of champagne, and another would have mostly orange juice. It is a slightly pricey place, but go for the bottomless mimosas to make it well worth the money. On a side note, their bathroom is outside the actual restaurant and around the corner. It is super nice, and… Ladies, there’s pads and tampons if you need it on the counter(yay). This place isn’t 5 stars because the food was good but not spectacular for what you’re paying, and because I wish the mimosas were more consistent.

Great place to grab a delicious American lunch. My favorite here is the tuna melt and their regular juicy cheeseburger. Portions are big and their chili fries are da bomb. Happy hour menu is cheap so come here with friends and drink a few beers. Oak Creek and Pelican Hill preferred members get 20% off the food tab so that is two thumbs up!

Met my dad here for a late breakfast, or brunch if that’s what you want to call it, although there is no brunch menu and you’re just ordering off the breakfast menu(if that concerns you). We got there at 10 on Sunday, and it was maybe ¼ full. As the morning wore on, it got a little more crowded, and it’s surprisingly noisy indoors. I will definitely eat outside next time. I got an omelette with hash browns, and my dad got the waffle and fresh fruit plate. My omelette was good, but my hash browns had a weird off taste that I just couldn’t place. Some sort of flavor cross-contamination with something else on the surface they were cooked on. While it didn’t stop me from finishing them, it certainly made the experience of consuming them less enjoyable. Would have been a 4 star review, but food took longer to get to our table than it should have, and the weird hash brown off-flavor knocked it down a star. I’ll give it an other shot for sure, as they have a lot of other great looking offerings on the menu. Bottom line: you don’t need reservations, food is good(borderline great), and it’s a good alternative to the Newport prices & crowd.
