I know New Star Realty is one of the largest Korean-​American owned real estate companies in USA. The company is not only for Real Estate transaction but also it is related to other part of Inv; such as Escrow, Real estate school, IT company, Marketting & Advertisement stuffs.

I think Korean Realtors are very dilligent and doing their best to all their customers. And they are fast to get work done. Sometimes it could have some misunderstanding or happenning while they are working, like miscommunicate with other agents or tenant when they are showing someone’s property… Or they ask more questions to understand you better… so it can be felt too private… but i don’t think they really cause/​expect that. Or they might be hard to recognize your face at once if they are not too familiar to distinguish other races like white ppl are not good at guessing asian ppl’s age. Also small events can happen with any realtor, any situation, any ppl. Sometimes… things just can happened. I know some ppl are really go further with small things too.

Anyway, I also have a lot asian friends and they are very kind and respectful to ppl. Also they are polite. As my experience, New Star ppl were nice and always being friendly. I think Realtor has to be comfortable to get things done. And i am sure Moonkey Nam is one of the guy, who is fun, humorous, and kind. He likes to explain all the details about economy, loan, housing details to customer. He also has unique methods and concept to teach their agents to be professional realtor. So i hope you can talk to them and get some ideas about your property.

Anna Choi is the agent that we have had the unfortunate pleasure to deal with at this office. Her DRE is 1 273 459 and she is the agent for our landlord. We initially met her at the clubhouse and the first thing that she told us was that the rent in the area is higher than we were paying. She should have asked for higher rent when the contract was first signed and not made a mention of it when we were meeting her for the first time. It was a bit irritating but nothing major. We then moved into the house and requested a few things be fixed and she sent over a handyman with a lousy attitude. He was very uncooperative, condescending and rude. These were items that should have been fixed prior to us moving in and it’s very clear that this is an investment property and the agent does not want to put money into the house. When we called her to complain
about the handyman, she gave very short answers and had a bit of an attitude. I asked her why she had an attitude and she said that it was a «very low class» thing to say. She said that she was at the dentist and that she had just answered the phone. I told her that she shouldn’t answer the phone if she’s at the dentist. I told her that this is very poor service and she said that she gives very good service to her «high class» customers. We have excellent credit, high income and we are renting so we can try out an area before we buy and we are definitely not low class people. She is also rude and gives short answers to our agent when we request that something be fixed. I would recommend that you highly avoid this office unless you are a «high-​class» person.
