Caryn is an amazing attorney. She was professional, patient, and understanding of peoples individual circumstances. We had a really difficult case in which my husband’s ex was unreasonable as many Orange County housewives who don’t work are. He was the sole bread winner and working a standard blue collar job where he was not earning nearly enough for his ex to be home trying to live the high life refusing to contribute on any level.
Caryn was able to simplify the situation where there was no money to truly argue for and a lot of debt that was sustained by his ex. She was patient in dealing with his ex being that she was representing herself and understood limited English and the law. She was ill advised by a friend who didn’t know much either and so she ended up having a very delusion perspective of what the law protects.
Caryn helped us defuse the situation and we ended up settling and receiving a court order for what was fair at the time child support and temporary alimony. When you are in an intense situation with kids involved and a lot of fighting it is a relief to have a calm and sound adviser who can take the situation and put it in perspective.
There was nothing to really fight for here. No assets, no money, only egos. At the end we were very happy with the results and would not have received it without Caryn’s expertise and advisement.

All the positive reviews you read about Caryn are accurate. If you call her, there is no pressure to see her or hire her. I called her very desperate, we spoke for about 20 minutes and she gave me so much helpful information. She basically gave me legal advice and said if I feel comfortable hiring her after the court hearing to call her back. Her work ethic is so inspiring. She really does fight for you and educates you at the same time on what is best for you and your situation. In our case, she helped us with child custody and child support (Father’s side). I was referred to Caryn by a co-​worker at a time when I had many questions and needed help with how to deal with my ex ceasing to pay child support. Caryn was awesome from the first phone call! I had tried calling 5 other attorneys desperate for help and none would answer a single question without formalizing things — they just wanted my money. When Caryn took my call she spent an hour with me on the phone answering every question I had with no talk of a retainer. She then took three more calls after that and was happy to help me with a few more questions without any pressure to come in a sign anything. I was convinced that Caryn had an awesome heart and a passion for helping people.
Sadly, things got worse and worse with my ex and court was inevitable. I met Caryn professionally in Nov 2012 to work on an urgent business contract that was «big» and life changing for my technology business in Southern California.
