Breakfast or lunch, Jan’s is your go-to spot if you work in any of the Park Plaza buildings(particular number four). What I enjoy most: — everything bagel — Monday’s #2 lunch special — the café comfort combo(grilled cheese and cup of soup — they usually have tomato basil) — salads(Chinese chicken or Cesar) Does get busy at peak times, but the staff hustles. At most you’ll probably have to wait four minutes in line and then another five or so, max, for your food.

Ordered a croissant sandwich with no meat. Came with egg & cheese inside. The croissant was more like the pillsbury kind, not buttery and flaky like the real ones. For the price, it was ok(~$ 4) but it didn’t taste very good. There were bits of eggshell in my sandwich as well. There was no additional seasoning to the egg & cheese which made it lacking in personality.

This is my go to spot before work. Call in and get the extra large breakfast burrito, hold the cheese and easy on the potatoes. Can’t really complain, its nice and efficient. Food taste solid, what more can you ask for?

it is what it is a convenient fresh food mart for soup or sammich Tucked in the rear section of building 4, you can find Jan’s by walking out the back and looking for the black outdoor tables. Specials are listed on a stand near the entrance and menus are mounted above the counter and on the wall to the right. During lunch rush, they had two girls manning the registers while two guys were making sandwiches and salads. It seems like the staff at Jan’s has gotten over the whole credit card thing. I saw a guy buy his $ 6 meal with a credit card, and a sign on the register«asks» people to please buy more than $ 5 worth of goods before using a credit card instead of the previous ultimatums. I asked for extra meat on my large cobb salad, and they added some extra chunks without charging me extra. The salad itself was pretty hearty for a $ 7 salad. Large chunks of avocado and chicken peppered with the occasional olive and tortilla chip, flavored with cilantro and dressing. It’s large enough that I could be satisfied eating half now, and half for an afternoon snack. I kind of wish I had asked for the dressing on the side so that I could do that without the lettuce getting overly soggy. I also like how this spot has a variety of price points to match your hunger needs. Fruit cup or croissant for $ 3 if you’re just a bit peckish. Soup or baked potato for $ 4 – 5 if you’re grabbing a quick bite. Salad or sammich for $ 6 – 7 if you’d like a larger meal. All in all a solid joint with reasonable prices. It’s great if you work in the area.

I’m apparently having a very different experience than all of the other positive reviewers. I opened a new office in this building about two months ago. Jan’s is the one little café food option here. I’ll admit that the breakfast and lunch items are good and definitely reasonable, especially for a small café that has a monopoly on an entire high rise. So for the last eight weeks, I’ve been coming to Jan’s just about everyday for lunch. On some of those lunches, I’ve been buying for some of my employees too. Also, I have been picking up breakfast burritos for myself too. So you get the picture, I’ve been coming here a lot. I love the other Unilocal reviews that paint Jan and employees to be super friendly, remembering your name, etc. Because for me, I still get treated like a newbie. After coming in regularly for lunch and every other day for breakfast… The employees aren’t especially friendly. I order, they take my money, write down my order and then I sit and wait. On the pickup, pay attention to when the employees put out food on the counter. They don’t call your name, nor a number… Nor anything else that clearly indicates whether it’s your food or not. I’ve sat waiting because I never knew if it was my fucking food or not until it was really obvious that no one was picking up. I don’t give a shit about all that though. What I do give a shit about is that I came in earlier this week and got a burrito, a bagel and coffee, which came out to $ 7. I didn’t have any cash on me. When I pulled out a credit card, like I’ve seen the entire lunch crowd do for lesser amounts, the supposedly nice owner Jan gave me a dirty look and in a bitchy tone said verbatim, «Ok, do you think might be able to find a way to come up with some cash?» Then she fucking walked away. I love the«personal» service. Thanks Jan for being really fucking friendly. If accepting credit cards is a pain… Then make it cash only and charge everyone a fee if they want to use debit/credit! I’m never coming back here on principle. Try Trimana over in the 5 building if you work here. It’s bigger, there’s more selection and the employees are actually friendly. It costs a little more, but at least you don’t get talked to like shithead.

Not impressed :(I got a ham breakfast burrito and the ham was like packaged sliced ham that was very salty, and the salsa was very watery and dripped all over my work shirt. Although it was very inexpensive and conveniently located(that’s what the three stars include), I won’t be coming here again. Good service though! Friendly environment.

Jan’s is awesome. I go there for breakfast at least 3 – 4 days a week. Their prices are very reasonable(3.50 for a breakfast sandwich) and the quality is excellent. I go there so often that Jan and Erika know me by name. They do a great job of trying to get to know their regulars. It does get busy sometimes but when its not they offer delivery too.

Awesome, afforable food! I love their chicken ceasar sandwich on wheat bread! They have a cool deal where you get ½ a sandwich with a cup of soup for $ 6. Super convenient and delicious. Staff knows you by name which is always awesome.

Omg I’m eating the best lunch ever right now. I thought I just ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of soup. I was not aware that a pickle and a scoop of potato salad would accompany it as well. It’s like Jan knows me or something. This is the best! Thanks Jan! Everyone come to Jan’s at Four at building 4 at the jamboree center for a great breakfast or lunch or both!

Good lunch. Nothing fancy about this place. Decent place to get lunch for under $ 7. I like their Salads. Avoid going at 12.00 pm as the queue is very long.

Located at the bottom of building 4 of the Jamboree center, it was a convenient place to pick up breakfast and go. They don’t have many tables inside, but a good handful of outdoor seating — perfect for the summer. I ordered a croissant sandwich with ham, egg and cheese(appx $ 6). The size of that thing was pretty big for a breakfast because after I had that, I wasn’t hungry for a long, long time. The cheese was perfectly melted, croissant was super hot when it came out, and most of all, they were go generous, they give you two fried eggs! Simple sandwich, but very well done. Service was nice too as we weren’t sure if we’d need to go back inside to check on our order, but they kindly brought it out to us when it was ready. Quick stop for a quick bite.

Tucked away amidst in the corporate buildings, Jan’s at Four is a legit place considering its size and exclusivity. –WHATSHOULD I ORDER– 1) The Club Sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have had in Irvine, its 3 slices of bread with crispy bacon, turkey, tomatoes, and cheese. 2) I usually get the Caesar Salad with a side of soup. The soup I highly recommend is the Tomato Soup. –HOWISTHESERVICE– Overall, the service is good. Staff is very friendly, and wait time is about 10 minutes for food. –WHATISTHEPRICE– Expect each person to pay about 7 $ — 10 $ at the end of the bill. Source: I been here about 7 – 10 times since the past 6 months.

Jan’s At Four is a great local-business breakfast and lunch spot. Breakfast bagel sandwiches are absolutely delicious(5 star) and include your choice of bagel, choice of protein(ham, sausage or bacon), cheese and egg(fried or scrambled) and the eggs are perfection! Yolky, without runny whites… kudos. The price is great too, $ 3.50 Breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos with salsa and potatoes, expresso drinks are also offered for a great price. There are quite a few lunch offerings, from salads, wraps, sandwiches, soups and daily specials. Wednesday is gyro day and is pretty good, but the side greek salad that comes with it is outstanding, with fresh everything, plenty of feta cheese and real olives that belong in a greek salad, not just plain old black olives. Need a little spice in your life? A counter filled with goodies to enhance: Jan herself is a hard worker, including her staff, and it’s like Cheers, «where everybody knows your name» and if they don’t, it is because you are new. There are numerous offerings of snacks: fresh fruit, ice cream, chips, candy, assorted breakfast items(muffins, pastries, etc), numerous drinks and more. In sum, good food, for a good price, friendly service, so if you’re in the Park Plaza area, I recommend Jan’s At Four.

I can’t believe there are only a few reviews on this place. I have been working at Park Plaza a few months and haven’t had the chance to try Jan’s until today. I feel like I’ve been missing out on amazing lunches the last few months because this little nook is just awesome. FOUR It’s located in Building 4 of Jamboree Plaza, so I don’t even know where you’d park. in between 2 and 4, on the street, or don’t even park. Just call and have a driver so you can run in to get your food. Luckily, I work in one of the plaza buildings, so I can walk over to Four. It’s way in the back, past the gorgeous elevators and fake garden hallway. BLT Amazing. Simply the best BLT sandwich I’ve ever had. I got it on rye, and with mayo on the bread and toasted. I don’t understand why the bacon is so good, so crispy, so flavorful. It’s like crack and I can eat this all day. ROASTBEEF I would get this on rye bread next time. The roast beef is delicious. I ate it about an hour after it was brought to me, and i still liked it. CHICKENDUMPLINGSOUP My favorite soup to get here. Whenever its on the menu, I get it. CHICKENTORTILLA It’s not a clear soup, but more of a heavy purée soup. Very very good and comforting for those cold days. CHICKENNOODLE Just simple, amazing chicken noodle soup. JAN She’s so freaking awesome. PRICES So affordable. Please don’t change this because of your surroundings. People will come. ONLINE They are revamping their website and online ordering, and they need to do it STAT cause I need to order my food and then run over to get it. Please hurry on this!

If you work in the Jamboree Center, you have to visit Jan’s. The food is made to order, they use quality ingredients, tastes great, they’re fast, and it’s affordable. TIP: Ask for extra meat on your salads… it only costs about $ 2 more and they hook you up with a nice, extra helping of chicken or beef that’ll get you through the afternoon.
