We purchased a new gas range to replace a «classic» O’Keefe and Merritt. The new stove couldn’t be connected to the gas line because they now use different size connectors. So we needed to call a plumber to switch out the wall conncection. I chose Power Pro from the yellow pages because they say «Usually on the job within 45 minutes» in the ad. When I called the receptionist also promised that I’d see a plumber or get a call within 45 min. After an hour I called back. I was told the plumber was «just finishing up» his current job and would be along shortly. After another hour I called again. This time I heard there were four plumbers who were qualified to do my job and they were just trying to figure which one was closest and available. It was fully four hours before a plumber arrived. «Bert» was professional, competent, and got the job done quickly. The charge was $ 150 including a senior discount. I think that when a business can’t meet a time commitment that they make to a customer they should be honest about it and tell them up front what the real wait time is going to be.
