Happy Nails Of Alton Irvine

I was visiting my sister in Irvine yesterday. She offered to pay for my nails because she knows I love to pamper myself. We didn’t know where to go so we looked up the closest nail salon to her place and we found this happy nails.
I came alone to get Mani and Pedi done. I was greeted and seated. The nail tech came and started the up sell. First of all, I couldn’t understand what she was saying so I kept smiling and saying OK until I saw the bill for the service.
All those times I was saying OK, I was saying OK to additional services. I’m not happy about how the nail tech tricked me. I thought the stuff she was mentioning was part of my service.

It’s starting out as a nightmare! It better go up before I leave but it’s highly unlikely! What started out as a relaxing moment has now turned into a big mistake! So it got a bit better. The girl must be totally new. She apologized for stabbing my toe and the massage wasn’t half bad!
Note to the owner… If you harass me on this review you will regret it! I will make sure to tell everyone I know in Woodbridge to chose another location! This isn’t a fake review and I won’t be intimidated by you!

My daughter loves getting her nails done here. Great Place, great Prices! They’re really nice people, even the staff who are not doing your Nails.
My daughters Two Favorite staff members are Pink and Mimi. They’re really nice and my daughter loves the way they paint her nails!

We did a couple day out today. One of the things we decided to do today was to get pampered. I really had high expectations for our spa date but it did not turn out as expected. I was imagining going to a nail salon would be similar to going to a hair salon. Where the hair stylist will have a full on conversation with their client. Ask them how their day was, what were your plans for the week, have a chit chat or just try to make a joke or two. It felt like that everyone was trying to rush and get the job done so they can take on the next client. They need to work on there customer service skills.

Edit: the owner sent me several nasty messages so I had to block her. I’ve received 4 emails now that she keeps posting and changing her reply to my review. I have no idea why I’m being attacked. This lady is mental. I had never heard of fiver until I heard the nail lady telling the girl next to me about it. I didn’t know there was such a service but how does this Owner know about it if she isn’t buying fake reviews? I noticed a pattern where she gets a bad review, she attacks the customer, then a random 5 star pops up almost right away. Why am I being questioned as a fake account? Because you’re mad that your business is not doing well? Yes I live in San Diego it doesn’t mean I’ve never been anywhere else lol. I travel up the coast for work and our corporate office is in orange county. We have offices all over the US and I have family in Oregon. My boyfriend lives in Florida. Try doing the right thing as a business owner and make people happy rather than being a jerk.

The nail tech I had was very rude and did an abysmal job. The utensils she used (or tried to use) were not sanitised, rusted and looked very dirty. The entire place looks very dirty and smells like someone is eating raw fish. The owner was very rude and told me that I was stupid because I thought the nail tech did a bad job on my nails.
Reading the replies the owner leaves on here, you can tell she has no pride in her business and it’s obvious I’m not the only one who feels this way about this place. Unethical business practices and awful service.

I had some time to kill while waiting to head home from vacation a few months ago (coastal camping and other outdoor fun), and stumbled into this salon. We have a Happy Nails in Bellingham, WA where I live, so I thought I would give the similar named salon a try! I was so thankful I did!!!
First of all they had no wait, despite a few people in the salon. I was able to sit right down and prepare for a pedicure. Keep in mind, my nails were a bit of a wreck from the long outdoor vacation, but they helped to get them cleaned up and looking great! I got a «Pamper Me Pedi» but decided to get gel nails so it would last for a while! And they looked great! I will try to include a photo of my nails! This was my second time getting gel nail polish and this time it did not feel like my fingers were cooking, and the polish stayed on even longer than expected!
As if the quality of work was not enough the staff were amazing! I loved my time chatting with my nail tech Joyce. She was really friendly and sweet, and when I walked out I felt really sad that I would not get to stop back in a few weeks to get my nails done again! I am planning another trip to the coast for camping next summer, and I know I will for sure be calling to make sure Joyce can once again make my nails look fabulous after a long week in the great out doors! If you live in the area, for sure stop and in try the gel nails, or any other service they offer!

My wife came in here to get her nails done and did not have a great experience. I know there is a new owner here from what I understand. But still I could tell she was not super happy with the place. She works over by here and had to get in and out on her lunch break.
I know that she was pressed for time but for what she had paid I feel like they could have done a better job. This place is a little pricey but you do have to consider that it is Irvine. But lets face it there are a ton of places to get your nails done in this city.
Overall I don’t think that she will be coming back to this place. She was just un-​happy with how her nails turned out. It just looked «clumpy» not sure if that is the right way to describe it but that is how it looked. Like a bad paint job that you can see the brush strokes on. CHEERS!!!
