There’s a special going on for Mondays and Tuesdays in February! 30% off your order! What a deal! The guy who helped us did not mind answering all the questions my friend and I had. And trust, we asked a lot of questions! I got the mint ice cream and it was really good. It’s pretty strong though, but you can ask for a sample beforehand. My friend got the Cold Bru and they didn’t mind lessening the sweetness for her! I got the Vanilla latte and that was good too!

Five stars for the great service. The two people working the counter were very friendly and wanted to talk about the coffee instead of just getting me my order and moving me along. I ordered the marshmallow/smores bar and a late, my husband got an espresso. There isn’t a lot of seating so you may need to snap your lip bar pics and keep moving through the store or go outside once you get your order.

This place is the forbidden fruit of coffee. It will set the bar so high you won’t want to get coffee anywhere else. Get a pourover of the Ethiopia blend. Just do it. Coffee will never be the same for you ever again. The thing is, you can’t get their beans anywhere else. I think they have a contractor or something, some special third party who does their roasting. Whatever the case, go inside Farm Direct, the side opposite of the bakery, and enjoy. Stuff that’s definitely worth getting: Affogato, pour over of anything, vanilla latte, pretty much all of their gelato is good except for the pistachio(not for me but a lot of people like it).

5 Stars for their espresso drinks! It is probably one of the best coffee I have ever tasted. When I go drink coffee, it is all about espresso for me. However, it is not easy to find great coffee places in suburban areas nowadays(thanks to Starbucks who sells super dark and burnt tasting espresso yet still ran over all the specialty coffee brewers!). If you are looking for cheap coffee, go to Starbucks. If you are a coffee lover who appreciates good artistry of coffee roasting, give this place a try, and you will not regret it.

It’s small. Inside a not so popular or well known grocery store and is expensive. I only went to check it out because I heard it serve fair trade coffee, unfortunately I didn’t end up making a purchase. I thought the prices were a bit on the high side. The photos I’ve seen are attractive and fun, but I wasn’t impressed when I went.

Coffee is good and the girls working here are great. The espresso is not bitter and the girls grind the coffee beans when you order. They’re speedy and if you order coffee to drink there, they make little designs out of the foam for you :) One thing to note: the coffee shop is inside of a grocery store. Not a problem if you’re coming by to pickup a togo coffee, but it’s probably not somewhere conducive to studying or appropriate for a date. Just a note.

Located inside the supermarket. The coffee is amazing! My friend let me try his sea salt iced coffee and while I couldn’t quite taste the sea salt, the coffee itself was excellent. It is so rare to find good, aromatic coffee these days. It’s either overwhelmingly sugary or whatever-tasting ultra-caffeinated brown water. Well, look no further because Bardot does coffee right. Ask for less ice or else you’ll get more ice than coffee! Their gelato is very good too. Another friend got the raspberry gelato and it was like a creamy sorbet, packed with flavor! Unfortunately I chose to get a bar. Big mistake! Their bars are prepackaged so who knows how long they’ve been sitting in the freezer for. The lip designs are great for your Instagram needs but does not make up for the disappointment when you actually start eating them! My cookies ‘n cream bar was not good at all and I regret spending almost $ 5 on one of the worst frozen desserts I have ever had the displeasure of having. Our barista/cashier was very patient and kind to us. We had a HUGE group coming in near the end of his shift and he worked hard to accommodate all of us despite how late it already was. Thank you, good sir! :)

This place is awesome! Make sure you go inside Farm Direct. There’s another coffee shop in the same complex and Bardot isn’t yet allowed to put up signage on the street. Lots of great beans, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and plenty of other non coffee drinks if that’s how you like to roll. You won’t regret it!

Love this place. Started coming here when it opened. Sign up for the rewards card on the Perka app. It’s one free coffee after you buy 6. All the espresso drinks are top notch and have great coffee flavor. And if they don’t make it correctly just let them know and they will happily remake it. Everyone that works here is patient and friendly. Located on the inside of the market. In the right corner after you enter.

Bardot’s sell love on a stick. What more can you ask for? Each gelato bar is delicately made. The perfectly thin chocolate shell evenly coats the luxurious gelato– neither competes with the other, making a perfect complement of creamy and crisp; neither is too rich or sweet that leaves you sick afterwards(I’m a small girl that eats a scoop of ice cream and I’m done, but I was able to finish an entire bar of Bardot’s all by myself.) Im sure that they lovingly sing to the baby bars as they’re forming. Each bar is stamped with cute little insignias, personalizing that bar for *you*. And finally they’re gently wrapped and waiting to be brought to your lips. The napkin that comes with the bar is a little note that declares of love and wonder–«you are a beautiful being, let us fill you with our love.» And filled, you are. You are in love.

Bardot is located inside Farm Direct. I had to mentioned that since we drove from one side of the plaza to the other searching for it! The service was excellent and I think it was actually the owner that helped us out. He explain what Bardot what about and that they specialized in their gelato and coffee. He let us sample the 6 flavors they had out on display and I couldn’t really decide since they were all really good. The gelato flavors were very natural tasting(especially the mango; tasted exactly like a fresh mango that was thrown into the freezer). I opted to get the almond gelato bar out of the 15 flavors that they had displayed. I’m a huge fan of anything almond so I had to try it. The texture of the ice cream bar itself was a bit icy(like when ice cream has been in the freezer for an extended period of time). The flavor of the almond gelato itself was very good and even had tiny almond bits throughout. The chocolate coating was also pretty good. They give you a cup with your ice cream bar because the chocolate will break off occasionally when you take a bite. We also got an iced latte. I’m by no means a coffee connoisseur but I thought it was above average(3.5÷5). You could tell from the smell and taste that it was well brewed and not just your average latte from Starbucks. They are definitely more known for their brewed drinks that are designed for more of a sit down environment according to the owner and hopefully I’ll be back soon to try their affogato’s in the future!

I was around the Irvine area and I was craving coffee or ice cream but why settle for just one when I can get both from Bardot? Bardot is located INSIDE the Farmers Direct market to your right. It’s a tiny little space but it packs a huge punch with their marketing/branding + décor. The showcase has the Bardot gelato bars lined up with the gelato following behind it. The girl that was helping me was very friendly and helpful. My friend got the cold brew coffee and I got the coffee gelato bar. The coffee gelato bar had coffee gelato inside and was wrapped around by dark chocolate(best combo ever!). Now the gelato bar was okay. When I bit into it, the coffee gelato was icy in some parts but once I got to the core the texture felt more like gelato and less icy. Now the cold brew was amazing. You can tell that time was put into brewing it. The coffee was simply delicious and refreshing. Overall, I loved the branding that Bardot has. Everything is thought out and really clever. As for the gelato/gelato bar, I thought it was okay but the coffee is the winner out of the two.

Average at best for my first visit. Nice looking little shop inside a Farm Direct Market. That’s the good news. The ok news. *The ice brew coffee was decent. The bad news. *The green tea latte didn’t taste right. Couldn’t put my finger on it though. There was a weird textured after taste. Also, where’s the creative art I’ve seen in so many pics? Just my luck, this particular barista lacked the talent. He at least was pleasant and helpful. POPS– cool marketable design on the shell… hmm. *The coffee pop. If you don’t expect smooth gelato, it’s an ok pop, with ok flavor. I didn’t care for the icy texture. Didn’t care for the thin very brittle chocolate shell either. #sixpackinthefrozensection. *The key lime pop, eh. Too tart. I might be back only if I’m in the area.

LOCATION: This is a coffee STAND inside Farm Direct, situated by the produce section at the far right. There is no seating around this stand, unless you would like to enjoy your coffee or pop at the outside tables. LATTE: We ordered a small latte, but there was no coffee art like I saw in the pictures on Unilocal. It probably depends on the barista that is working at the stand. GELATOBAR: I ordered the espresso, and it was essentially a mediocre ice bar. There was ice texture throughout, and I didn’t ever get a gelato consistency at all. My sister ordered the NY cheesecake and seemed to enjoy hers. After awhile, though, since the texture of the gelato isn’t uniform, the chocolate pieces fall off once you bite into it. They offer you a cup with the pop, which I was confused by at first, but now I understand why they gave you the cup. You will need to catch your chocolate pieces. The branding and beauty of their food products is very appealing, but it’s not what’s on the outside that’s most important.

I really can’t say much about the drinks because I’m not much of a coffee drinker, other than it tasted good and I appreciated the latte art. My friend got the gelato ice cream and I got a gelato bar. I came in around 5 p. m and about ¼ of the bars were already sold out so you’ll have to go earlier if you want a larger selection. The bar had a layer of thin chocolate and the gelato inside was creamy and tasted like the flavor it was supposed to be, yet they’re pretty much the same as the Haagen Dazs gelato bars you can just get from the grocery store. The food isn’t a must try for me but bonus points for presentation and friendly service.

Super super awesome cold brew and really sweet, accommodating baristas. I think this place is Korean-owned and originally from San Diego. Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s inside the grocery store. Their coffee is really reasonably priced and the baristas will go out of their way to customize your order. Their lattes are wonderful; they use real syrup instead of the processed fake-sugar kind. I’m personally a little addicted to how light and mellow their cold brew is, so every time I visit home I make sure to go to Bardot’s.

The sign for this place is very noticeable coming from the michaelson entrance since it’s in the supermarket. The girl that greeted us was very helpful and gave us recommendations for the gelato bars and a coffee. I decided on the white chocolate bar. It was alright; the outside chocolate was really sweet so it was hard to taste the white chocolate gelato on the inside. The design is really cute and the quality is pretty up there. It was hot outside so she recommended a café glacé instead of the affogato. It came with two scoops of gelato and it was delicious. Perfect ice cream and coffee balance; not too sweet and not too bitter.(:

I finally have a reason to give this place 5 stars: Brian, the passionate barista who genuinely cares for his customers, personally reached out to me to give me the«best experience.» And his passion for coffee really shows! I first went here when their kiosk was still new and getting in the groove of things, and I was a fan of their gelato from the beginning. I always opt for their«labbragato» because I love the creamy texture of their gelato with fresh, bitter espresso poured on top. Their Marscapone with Berries gelato is DELICIOUS(and my definite favorite), but their affogato tastes wonderful with the Vanilla gelato(it’s more grainy in texture so as you can really taste the espresso with it). My first experience with their coffee was a little lack-luster, but Brian recognized me when I came for another visit and wanted to serve me coffee to my liking. He made me a Caramel Latte on the spot and mentioned they can adjust the sweetness to our liking(I personally like my coffee more on the bitter side with mild sweetness). The latte he made me was just about perfect for what I’d want in a Caramel Latte. He then went on to explain to me about Bardot and their entire concept and how they make their coffee… I was so intrigued by everything since I had a coffee expert right in front of me(he mentioned that he studied all over the place, from New York to Korea). He let me watch him make latte art right upfront, making a classic design and a gorgeous swan design. Makes it look so easy but the detail in the latte art comes out so perfect and intricate! I’ve always been a fan of this place. Their gelato is definitely lovely, but he got me all excited about their coffee. They use a medium-to-dark roast in their coffees and make fresh batches every week, which is nice. They’re also a good team with the Love of Juice bar at the other end of Farm Direct. Their personally reaching out to me and genuinely caring for their customers is definitely a nice touch. Although Brian strives for perfection, his care for coffee definitely shows. And I’d love to come back anytime.(Call this my favorite local coffee spot. And it’s pretty hard to find solid coffee/gelato spots around!)

After seeing the cool pics on Unilocal,I HAD to come here. Located inside the supermarket right when you walk in I was expecting a bit larger location and some kind of seating. It to go only, so we ate while shopping. $ 4.50 is steep for the ice cream, but it was tasty. I had the pecan pie and my son the cheesecake, his was better, it had strawberry in it which was a nice addition. Also had a mocha, again pretty tiny for the price, but very very good. Service is great, I hope they do well and get an actual storefront soon!

I was very stoked when I found this place and pestered my friends and manfriend to go with me! My lovely manfriend caved in… heheheeh! I was attracted to the beautifully decorated ice cream bars! Not only do they look appealing, but these bars taste amazing! I have to start off mentioning the owner(Brian) and staff are great and very patient! Brian is very knowledgeable and was kind enough to share the ingredients of his coffee and ice cream bars. He explained the reason behind the grainy texture of the Bardot bars because the ingredients are very fine and natural. I know Ice cream isn’t the healthiest but it doesnt taste like you’re eating a bar full of hydrogenated oil! Affogato with vanilla ice cream: bomb dot com! You can’t go wrong with this concoction! Their expresso is very potent and rich! It trumps the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream, which I love! Brian said a lot of people enjoy it with the Irish cream, which is too sweet for me! I can see how people like it though! Chocolate bar: everyone and their grandfather should definitely have this! It’s very rich, but not exceedingly rich. If you are on a diet and you decide to have sweets for the hell of it, you won’t regret breaking your fast. This is someone who rarely chooses chocolate ice cream… once in a blue moon status. It was actually Brian’s suggestions and I almost didn’t listen to him. It’s delicious… just eat it. I am not a coffee connoisseur but manfriend is! Manfriend said their coffee is fantastic and flavorful. Flavorful?! I guess their coffee is on a whole another level! He tried their espresso and cappuccino btw! Adorable packaging! Love the simplicity of their designs! Instagram, snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Vine, tumblr, MySpace, Friendster, tinder worthy. Wait what? Jk. Inside farm direct. so, limited seating! Brian mentioned he is planning to open an individual store in Irvine when the time comes, so I look forward to that! Highly recommend to all! Enjoy!
