What a great place to buy a Christmas tree. We found our tree in the Charlie Brown pile, $ 35 for a 10ft tree. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Farm Animals for the kids to pet and a hay bale slide for them. Wreaths and décor available. Free hot cider and a little snack shop. Bathroom available and we saw Santa!

We discovered Cedar Lake a few years ago when gas became so high it made it to expensive to drive a Chevy Suburban 4 hours round trip to the mountians to cut a tree. Located off Highway 27 in Iron Station, Cedar Lake is a real working farm. Kids of all ages will enjoy the farm animals, cows, chickens, donkeys and turkeys. Week ends feature alpacas and Santa too! They always have a pot of hot apple cider going and its free, but not needed when you pick out your tree on a 74 degree day! You can choose cut your own Virginia white pine any height for $ 25 or a fresh cut frasier fir from their own mountian farm. Prices for those are $ 35 and up depending on height. My wife and I have snagged an 8 –9 footer in what we call the«Charlie Brown» section for only $ 45 for the past several years that have turned out to be some of our best Christmas Trees! Once you pick out your tree, they will trim it, wrap it and load it for you. If you don’t want to drive all the way to the mountians, but want a better experience than picking your Christmas tree out of a parking lot, Give Cedar Lake Tree Farm a try.

The farm was cute. The trees are a bit expensive considering NC ships Christmas trees to various parts of the US. 6 – 7′ $ 45, 7 – 8′ $ 55 Frasier Fir; cut your own Virginia Pine for $ 25
