Visited this place for the first time on a recent trip to the U.P. of Michigan. It’s a great little place with lots of sandwich choices. They also have pizza and some very good looking ice cream. I didn’t get either, but both looked very good.
I had the Philly cheese steak and it was very good. Please pay them a visit when you’re in Iron River.

My fiancé and I try to get to Iron River once a month (from chicago) and we decided to try this place for lunch, it seemed like a cool little spot, I had a Cesar chicken wrap or something like that and it was delicious. However the cashier was not friendly at all. I don’t know if it’s because she didn’t recognize us since we don’t live there all year around but she was very snotty and made the both of us feel uncomfortable. We didn’t even want to eat in there so we took our food and went to a park.

I ordered a sub sandwich and while I waited, had a conversation with the cook, who I believe is the owner, or wife of said owner? Anyways, while she did not say anything derogatory, it was obvious she did not want to serve me and had an attitude. In the middle of waiting, another employee, or owner came right up to my back inches away from me, and when I turned around, he gives me the stink eye. I didn’t say anything. It’s right on par for this town’s level of ignorance.
BTW, I might have come back if the food tasted decent. My dogs wouldn’t even eat what I refused.

They are by far one of the best sub places I have ever eaten at. They have a huge variety of subs that taste amazing! The ice cream there is delicious too. The owner is always super friendly. I like to stop here anytime we are in Iron River. I would highly recommend this place.

My wife and i spend several weeks each summer in the U.P. and Scott’s is our number one place to eat there. Either sandwiches or pizza, its hard to go wrong. He has about every type of sandwich you can imagine (and a lot you probably have never imagined). His bread is delicious. The pizza comes in either thin or thick crust. As a general rule, I prefer thin crust but I think Scott’s thick crust is really great. The sauce is a very tomatoey and just sweet enough. He has about 20 different ice cream flavors and the servings are quite generous. It gets pretty busy at lunch time so you may wait. Scott could definitely use more up front help during the noon hour. Also, they seem to close around 8 but it varies depending on how much business they’re doing so keep that in mind if you are coming in late.

Scott’s is one of the best sandwich places in the UP. Fantastic subs… the beef stroganoff is my very favorite sub. It has become a staple for any visitors we have throughout the summer. Everyone is always kind and friendly, great décor, clean bathroom and fabulous ice cream and homemade root beer. LOVE Scott’s Party Store!

We tried the new cheesy bread at Scott’s on our latest trip. Be warned, it’s not just a few bits of bread appetizer. The whole thing is about the size of a small pizza, cut into strips that pull apart! It can be a meal in itself, but save room for the ice cream.

Probably one of the best and only places to catch a quality and delicious meal for cheap in all of Iron River.
The sandwich I had was loaded with cold cuts and Scott even agreed to load it with bell peppers, olives and jalapeños, in place of Giardiniera, which they didn’t have. My Girlfriend had a pizza and man was it good. Nice crust, great sauce… we were both surprised. Overall a nice little spot. They get pretty busy, as it’s a major locals spot, so keep that in mind.
