I stayed here a few nights in between scouting houses in the area. I have dogs, and paid the extra dog fee. I came back a week later for more papers I needed to sign and more research I needed to do, and the owner flat out refused to rent me a room. Why? Their excuse was: My dog shed on the floor. Ummm… Yeah, so they don’t vacuum daily like they should? Or like to gripe at customers about the simple job they have running a service based business?
The rooms are shitty, small and cheap. The service was worse. Spend your money in another town if you’re not from here. This town and almost every business is full of grumpy, biased, rude and ignorant people and they really dislike outsiders.

My son and I stayed at the Lakeshore Motel while snowboarding at SkiBrule last weekend. A great value. The rooms are clean and cozy. The owners are friendly. It’s like being a guest at the house of a family member. I just called and made reservations for next weekend. I think we’ll become regulars.

We stayed at the Lakeshore Motel last weekend while snowboarding at Ski Brule. The décor may be dated, but some may see the retro charm. The motel is pristine and the rooms are spacious. The couple who own the motel were very friendly. There’s a beautiful view of the lake and the location is convenient to Iron River and Ski Brule. The room was very affordable and included a microwave and small refrigerator. We had a nice continental breakfast with one of the owners providing light-​hearted morning conversation. I will definitely be staying at the Lakeshore again when I’m in the Iron River area.

The owners from IL now retired dose a great job on this place, we come up to dive and relax after words, rooms clean, retro 70’s colors, and great breakfast in the A.M. price is right!
