since I discovered this pathetic restaurant a few months ago I have only been able to reach some one via delivery once. They do not answer their phones and their website is shit its always unable to take my order and top it all off they are closed two days a week. I have had their food its mediocre not bad had way better but also had worse being from nyc moving to the south this is by far the worst(most lazy) business I have EVER encountered.

Being from New York I am always in search for the best New York style pizza. I was excited to try Gina’s and had high expectations after reading all the great reviews. Boy… was I disappointed! I called at 4pm for delivery and was told to call back at 5pm. I placed my order at 5:05 and was told it would be delivered in an hour. No problem. It showed up after an hour and 45 minutes. The pizza wasn’t hot… or warm… it was cold! It was also burnt on the edges, and was dry, tasteless, and seemed«old.» Cardboard. It seemed old, like it had been«sitting out for days.» I had also ordered an eggplant parmigiana dinner entrée with a side salad. I called the restaurant to clarify what was included in their dinner entrees because there wasn’t any pasta. I was told they don’t include the pasta unless it’s spaghetti and meatballs or baked ziti. I have NEVER ordered a dinner entrée from an Italian restaurant and had to order the pasta as a side. It’s ALWAYS included. These people can’t be from the north because that wouldn’t fly up there. Sadly it was an overall bad experience. At Ginas you will pay New York prices without any of the New York«style» or taste.

Sad. I was really excited to try it out since they recieved 5 star ratings. Im starting to realize, not many people in SC know what good food really tastes like or maybe its their southern politeness. So many places with good ratings but was definitely not good. Me and my husband both ordered a personal 8″ pie. It was so small, crust burnt, and every bite we took, we got a mouthful of powdery flour. There was also some hard substances on my pizza that could’ve cracked my tooth in half. My poor husband looks so sad, walking aimlessly around the house. My supreme personal pie was about $ 7. I basically had one slice of pizza for $ 7 bucks! You crazy?!

Had the Bianca Pizza from here and it was incredible! Even if you are a die-hard meat pizza person, you have to try this. The sauce on this pizza is amazing, almost like a fettucini sauce but 10 times better. Also, the garlic bread with cheese is awesome — even after bringing it home and sitting for a bit. We did have a little mix-up with pizza size, so just make sure you get the right size… I’ve been in Columbia a couple of months and this is the first place with high ratings on Unilocal that I actually agree with and look forward to trying again.

This was hands down the worst pizza I’ve ever had. I used 256 Togo for delivery so I’m very upset because not only was the food terrible, it was also very expensive.

With a pizza place like this in your neighborhood, why would anyone go to olive garden or carrabas? Holy guacomole, what a dynamite little pizza joint! Like others have mentioned, they do lots of carry out with a small dining room. I did witness a family bring in a case of beer and a bottle of wine and they put it in the cooler for them. One word about this place, CUSTOMERSERVICE! I’m guessing Todd is the owner or manager cause he went out of his way to greet and thank everyone. As a fellow small business owner, I appreciated that very much. Not like at Applebee’s where is forced for the manager to come by our you get a free appetizer, very refreshing to see someone who cares. Oh, the food. I opted for the baked ziti with meatballs. Best dish ever! Garlic knots were delicious as well, came with butter and marinara for dipping! If I ever comes back to Columbia, I’ll definately be back. Heck if you live within 30 minutes of this place, it’s worth the drive.

Will never eat there again. Ordered a $ 7.99 salad, but charged $ 8.25. Pointed out to waitress… she said they have not updated cost on menus. Drank water. Ticket said water $.75. Asked to add anchovies to salad. Charged $ 2.50 additional for four anchovies. You can buy a whole can for $ 1.30. A $ 7.99 salad with four anchovies and water ended up costing me $ 14.27 including tip. Ripoff dinner :-(

Awesome New York style thin crust pizza. The pizza margherita is really good, as is the buffalo chicken pizza… I wish they still put blue cheese crumbles on the buffalo chicken pizza but that’s OK, that can be added at home. Virtually every chain has come up with their own buffalo chicken pizza, but Gina’s has ruined me for all of those… none holds a candle to Gina’s. I haven’t tried anything other than their pizza; I’ve wanted to based on other reviews, but the pizza is just too hard to pass over. We haven’t dined in either so I can’t speak to that experience. If you order large pizzas, you get the nice big fold em’ up slices. If you like thin crust pizza, you should give this place a try. Definitely my favorite pizza around.

OHMYGAH! WHENCAN I GOBACK!!! This place, holy kamoly! Although, the«dining room» leaves a lot to be desired, they make up for it in their EXCELLENT food! You must get the garlic knots. They’re good dipped in just about anything!(you’re given melted garlic butter and marinara) Even NOT dipped in anything, THEYAREAMAZING. We had the Bianca pizza — yes, it had flour on it… SOWHAT?! That just spells authentic for me! I, also, sampled the Lasagna — amazing; the Baked Ziti — amazing; the salad — it, too, was amazing! LOVEDTHISPLACE! Can not wait to go back! It’s BYOB… I think I’d actually prefer it stay that way. And as much as I hate to say this: it trumps The Villa. Nicely done, Gina’s!

I was looking for a place to grab some carry-out after a 9 hour drive breaking up my trip down south. I chose this little gem after reading the reviews on here. It was a great decision I have to admit. The garlic knots, Stromboli, and calzones were excellent!!! I will definitely eat here again if I return to the area.

Pizza was tasty but nothing to write home about but the service was good. I will go back to try something else. Pictures on Unilocal was very helpful for me to see what you have to offer.

This place is a hidden gem. Located in a small plaza and on a corner. They have only 7 tables inside and it loos that they are not open late evenings. The lady that served us is the owner and she makes excellent pizza and sandwiches using fresh food, prepared daily. If you spend less than $ 5, you have to pay cash. You can eat it or carry out.

Great pizza but more if a take out place than a dine-in. Very small cramped seating area. I would only recommend ordering how much you plan to eat that same day because for some reason the pizza here doesn’t make good leftovers.

Best Pizza in Columbia! Great Sauce, Great Crust… empty pizza pan. Thin, NY style pizzas… never would have found it without Unilocal.

Probably the best NY style pizza and Italian dishes in Columbia area. Excellent meatball subs, lasagna, and Parmesan dishes. High quality ingredients with a great sauce on the pizza. Sorry, no beer or wine but you may bring your own. Reasonable prices and friendly waitstaff. Cozy, very casual minimalist dining room with about eight tables. Salads were fresh and served chilled topped with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette. Hard to find location, but worth the hunt.

Great pizza and even better knots. Pizza dough is very soft and melts in the mouth. Only downside pizza had too much dry flour on it… enough that my hands were white with the flour and I could taste it in my mouth. Despite the dry flour… one of the best pizza I have ever had.

Gina’s has great pizza. I just went for the first time after passing by it everyday on my ride home — and they’ve been there for 8 years. They’re in a really dumpy shopping center with no curb appeal and nothing shouting«COMEINHEREFORREALLYGREATPIZZA!». They should fix that, because they do deserve to get folks in the door. With that said, the pizza is fantastic. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with the bianca(white garlic/cheese) sauce. Amazing. I only ordered the 8″ personal pie(which was probably enough, but I wanted more) and my girlfriend and I split an order of(6) garlic knots — also very very good by the way. I ordered a soda and it was brought to me in a can. They don’t have a fountain setup so this place is really setup more for take out and/or delivery, although they do close a little early at 9:00pm. They don’t serve beer or wine, but I did find out from the server(who was really great, by the way) they will gladly allow you to bring your own beer or wine and drink it while you dine. Definitely will do that next time. Overall, I was quite impressed with the quality of the food. I hope Gina’s continues to hang around the Irmo area for a while, although I think they could greatly benefit from a better location.
