Great setup and a very friendly staff. Tasted all 6 flavors. We liked the orange meads along with the strawberry meads. The basil infused mead was unique as well as tasty.

Stopped in back in October. I was the only one there and the owner, Dan, came out to the front room to meet me. I did the tasting flight and really enjoyed all the different meads. Great little shop and really nice look with the bottles and labels. Got a quick tour of the production room and had some good conversation about mead and cider. Bought a bottle of the limited release cyser and Dan waived the cost of the tasting. Really glad I stopped in. Hope this place does well.

This is a place like no other with affordable and delicious, locally sourced meads. We had never tried Mead before. However the owner and«Brewer»(I guess?) walked us through his whole amazing process and exposed us to flavor infusions we never would have expected. Rustic, old world atmosphere. Delicious product. Great conversations. We will be back on our next trip to Massachusetts!

Absolutely. Completely. Amazing. The owner(mead-maker) hosted our tasting and was fantastic. He had so much passion for what he does and such a friendly, engaging presence. We were visiting from Texas, and this was certainly a highlight to our little weekend trip. Thank you 1634 Meadery for an amazing time! I wish we could have it delivered to TX! The lead with basil would be a default to our spirits collection! Thank you Dan! You have some super fans in Fort Worth, TX!!!(I can’t wait to wear my tank top around TX and spread the word!)

Owners are awesome. Almost as good as the mead. The Cyber is my favorite. Try them all!

Just stopped in after driving by over the past few months and saying to myself«I should go there» and found out I was right! I did the tasting of their five current offerings; each and every one is excellent. The couple who own the place are super nice and friendly too.

This is a great stop if you’re in the area, even if you only have a few minutes. Dan is very passionate about his work and the mead is fantastic! Will definitely make trips from Boston to restock.

1634 Meadery is s great take. Dan is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his craft. Need to have the Mead tasting. Will likely buy a bottle for yourself. Not wine, just a very enjoyable spirit.

The environment of this little meadery can’t be beat. With exposed reclaimed barn-wood beams and antiquities relevant to the mead and honey industry, the tasting room is reminiscent of a colonial enterprise. Dim Edison bulbs light the space in such a way to create an atmosphere of intimacy and coziness that brilliantly sets the mood to taste their amazing product. Locally sourced honey is used to create the mead, and the addition of other local ingredients(blueberry, strawberry, etc) creates a variety that is sure to satisfy all adventurous tasters. The mead is strong and crisp, with wonderful bouquets and finishes. This is an absolute must-see for anyone interested in mead, history, the brewing process, or just meeting new and vibrant people. 1634 has earned their 5-stars.
