A stunning gem in the heart of the University of Iowa’s bustling campus. From the outside it looks like a standard mid-1960’s built rec center. Inside is the most gorgeous pool that is illuminated by a large abstract lapis lazuli looking large scale rectangular pieced sculpture that reminds me of churches in Rome that had solid 40 foot lapis columns… makes me wish that I lived in IC so that I could take advantage of swimming in the lovely pool and reflecting upon that sculpture. It really is that beautiful…
