Great IC bar.
In the likes of: Fitys’, The Brewery, Jirsa’s, Mac/​Carl n Ernie’s, The WIg, Shaekspeares, The AIrliner (some still no longer operating or under different ownerships) and other ‘local’ IC watering holes, these places know how to maintain a a good bar and keep their regular cliental while still drawing in newbies.
Good booze at reasonable prices, friendly staff and gourmet bar food. Ownership will be shifting in 2011 but expect the same great service, food and atmosphere.
Johnny Walker Red and Black and Crown Royals poured stiff for $ 4 – 5. Wow!
You can buy drinks for 5 friends all night and have a bill of $ 40.
2 Bass, 1 Crown Royal, 2 Johnny Walkers, Captain and Coke, 6 Coors bottles and a Guiness for $ 41.
That tab would be $ 441 in LA. God I love Iowa City.
