I’ve stayed twice. The place is a real find. It’s a beautifully restored home full of antiques and modern amenities ranging from free Wi-Fi and internet television with Netflix/Pandora to a luxurious bathroom with a rainshower head and heated towel rack and toliet seat. The owners are generous, hospitable and warm but not intrusive. Then there’s the food. The homemade cookies and scones are especially fab. Highly recommended!

Koza House… you were AMAZING! This was my time visiting Iowa City and I was prepared to be crammed into a house with 8 other people as a means for showering and sleeping; possibly on a hard, dusty floor. We walked into the most beautiful, clean, spacious, accommodating home. The house has three bedrooms, a pull out couch and plenty of additional space for air mattresses if necessary. We slept 9 people very comfortably. The kitchen has top notch appliances and the entire home is so roomy. The main bathroom was extremely modern… I will just say that everyone will appreciate the features(including a heated seat which came in handy on our cold weekend)! Oh, did I mention we walked in to find cupcakes, coffee, tea, breakfast and snack items? The owners of the Koza house absolutely know how to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and are very accommodating. Koza house is THE place to stay if you are visiting Iowa City!

I booked the Koza House for our annual football weekend/return to Iowa City. I didn’t know what to expect, but was more than pleasantly surprised. The house was AMAZING to say the least. There were nine of us and I thought we might be crammed in, but we had three great bedrooms, a study with a pullout couch and a spacious living room which easily fit an air mattress. I had asked in advance if we needed to provide additional towels or blankets, but Koza House had more than enough for everyone. The house itself was beautiful. Bev and Steve(the Kozas as my friends liked to call them) provide the history of the 100+ year old house, which was wonderfully upgraded and filled with some amazing antique pieces. The bathroom was really the hit of the group with its rain shower and heated toilet seat. The kitchen is modern and beautiful. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Bev and Steve also provide wonderful personal touches. They partner with local businesses and provide amazing smelling soaps, homemade jam, etc., which you can also purchase. There were even homemade chocolate cupcakes waiting for us when we got there! I would suggest that this is NOT the house to rent if you are fresh out of college and looking to throw a wild party; there are too many expensive antiques that you will not want to pay to replace! We had a wonderful time and have already booked our weekend with the Koza House for 2012!
