Yikes! There is bar food, and then there is this place. Upon walking in you are blasted with the smell of old grease and spilled booze that usually means the place needs to be cleaned properly. The server got my fiancé’s entire order incorrect and brought back the wrong drink for her almost every time she needed a new one. The service was slow even though there weren’t that many people in there. Won’t be visiting this place again unless forced at gunpoint.

Always a great «go to» bar! I know I sound like a kid, BUT, their grilled cheese is delish! Always cold beer, with every game you could want on TV. The fact that they’re mixing up their draft beers, shows that they realize that customers are wanting variety. Will most definitely be back!

I love this place! The food is always good and super speedy. The staff is always friendly and they will remember you. Great neighborhood place. It is a St. Louis sports bar, so join us for Cardinals and Blues games. The atmosphere is casual and non intimidating. The menu has something for everyone, and I have yet to have bad food.

Coach’s Corner is definitely one of the best local sports pubs that has an inviting atmosphere. The bartenders are very friendly and the servers as well. They have great food and a great selection of beers and liquor. The tv’s help make this bar a fun place to watch any sporting event. Go Hawks, Cards, and Trojans!

Lets start possitive, the food is good great pizza and burgers… now lets talk the bad, SERVICE! our server last night knew nothing about the nighly specials food or drink. also we watched in horror as a waitress ‘swapped’ pizza’s between two tables next to us. and told them she made a mistake one table had already eaten off the pizza and she just swapped them! We were right next to the two tables and watched this train wreck happen. this has to be some kind of health code violation. Gross ! i’m now worried about other shady food ‘swapping’ happens.

I feel this place could use a remodel, don’t care for the bar shape/​position myself, perhaps to large, idk but never quite felt comfortable there, but what the place does have going for it is that it’s the only Cardinal’s bar in town (GO CARDS!) — which I believe they should use to their advantage and market the hell out of. Is fairly clean, nice staff, and not bad food though.

Lots of staff. .. No service. I stopped in on a Thursday at 5:00 P.M. for a beer, sat at the bar expecting decent service. I was right until someone came in with their brat kid. The kid, I’m guess age 5, was known to the entire staff. They sat the kid at the bar, rather than a table, and that was the end of any service. Pass this place by unless you like having a drink in a daycare center.

I haven’t been since moving away from Iowa City a year ago, but I went to Coaches Corner a few times and always enjoyed it. It had decent food and it was reasonably priced. The nachos were HUGE and tasty. The beer was cheap and never skunky. There were enough TVs to watch our games. Service was good and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. I don’t know what more you would want from a sports bar. The best thing of all: it’s wasn’t a crowded mess full of douchebags like Gus’ or The Vine (on the strip).

Went here after homecoming football game. They put the game on of our choice on the big screen. Good wait staff. I will return.

Definitely not the greatest service in the world. Didn’t order food because it seemed a bit overpriced… But the beer is cold and lots of TVs to watch the Hawkeyes!
