In n Out Burger is better. The service was bad and our server needs to find a different line of work. She was really bad. I ordered a Cosmo and ut was served to me in a glass that had a Crack as big as a fault line in it. There were 2 Martinis ordered on the rocks and they came strength up. When we brought it to the servers attention she brought a spoon and a glass of ice. The house salad was swimming in oil and tasteless. The server forgot the onion soup for one of the guests in our party. When it came it was greasy. The meal left a lot to be desired. The Halibut was tasteless and cold, the Serlion was ordered rare and was med rare cold tasteless and tough, the Scallops were small you only got 9 on a Hugh bed of chopped lettuce, They were over cooked tasteless cold and the breading was the cheapest you can get. This was a Birthday dinner and the server told the birthday person that he was going to get a muffin for his birthday. It was to be a surprise. When I called her off to the side and asked why she told him she said he already knew it was his birthday and argued the fact that she did nothing wrong by telling him. When the bills came one was paid by credit and when the portion that you sign came it was $ 20. more than the original bill. The second bill had a .Misc charge of $ 26 on it when I asked what it was for the server didn’t know. We will NEVER return there. One rating is way too much to rate thrm. I am a 5 Star Chef and believe me when I say In n Out Burger is much better.

We visited Indian Wells Steak House, after a 130 mile drive, for the first time on Jan 23, 2016. We all four were totally impressed with the quality of the food(Steaks), drinks(Beer) made locally and even the spring water on the table. The server, Marie, was absolutely outstanding. We left there very happy with the long drive and felt like we had just made a friend with Marie. I had the Diamond Jim steak and found it was light years ahead of anything at Morton’s in Palm Desert. If you are going anywhere near this location, stop, eat, enjoy. All you skiers from Southern California, you are passing the best food and service anywhere between Los Angeles and Reno, STOP! Morton’s, take note, you have been totally out classed by a little place way out in the desert.

Awesome prime rib! They seated us 30 minutes before they closed. Awesome service and food!

To be fair, the incident I posted about happened a couple of years ago, so maybe some wait staff changes have taken place. Still haven’t been back, probably won’t be. Try it for yourself.

We went in with my family. The salad was excellent, but the steaks all four of them were over cooked and was the texture of shoe leather. Over 100 bucks for an overall terrible food. Shame on you. This place used to be good. what happened???

We are from out of town and have been going to Indian Wells Steakhouse for a few years. The steaks are moist, delicious, and are accurately cooked to order with just the right amount of seasoning. The blue cheese salad is one of our favorite sides and is very refreshing. Great food and service will keep us coming back for years to come.

A middle-of-no-where gem! Salad and steak were great. We shared a beer and a float sampler. Kiddo enjoyed the floats for sure! Green apple, orange cream, vanilla cream, black cherry and the classic root beer float were the flavors included. Would recommend this place if driving by; too bad we don’t love closer!

This time Marie was our waitress and she was a very good. We didn’t have to wait, we got right in and the service began immediately starting with a cold carafe of water, garlic bread and the famous salad. It was Prime Rib night but we both decided on the fish and chips and washed it down with a stein of the famous brewed beers they make. I had the Mojave Gold this time and my husband had the Mojave Red. To end our dinner we split the most delicious cherry cheesecake. On the way out we pet the«Guard» Cat’s little head. That cat is always sitting at the door. Next time I’ll save him a little bit of my fish.

Kind of a cool spot to stop out in the middle of nowhere. I was on a road trip and needed a break and stopped for a drink. They brewery is nothing special but worth a visit if you are in the area. The tasting room has quite a few things on tap. You can get a full glass or tasters and they do have a cute little tasting glass you can keep. I was able to try a few things of theirs I haven’t seen before. The ginger shandy was awesome, very gingery and yummy! I was able to buy a bunch of beers to take with me that don’t seem to get distributed to San Diego. You could also take home some of the plentiful options of soda they have available. The service was nice but a bit slow. They did help me to my car with all the beer I purchased so they do get extra credit for that.

This has got to be the worst place I’ve ever been the food was horrible but most of all the service sucked only one girl had a head on her shoulders I believe her name was Catherine anyway what a waste of money and time. We had a table of 30 so you would think you would get some decent service and maybe even your drink filled. .How embarrassing to have met my family in such a dump Never again

My family and I have dined at this restaurant for over thirty years. Through ups and downs we have been faithful but lately it has consistently gone down. The menu looks as if it should be in a soda fountain and the appetizers are either processed or frozen foods. I still love the salad but even that is not consistent nor is it the same as it used to be. And yes, the bathroom desperately needs repair.

The New York strip steak was cooked perfectly along with the baked potato. Perfect for drinking some excellent local beer from next door. Great views and service too. The dehydrated bacon bits on my salad was the only low point.

A lovely spot to stop on the 14. The lounge area has a wood burning fireplace and lots of cozy seating. The view is wonderful. The food is good and reasonable.

We went here for a birthday dinner. Absolute Amateur hour for food preparation. Twice in my life have I left a negative review. Do yourself a favor, choose anywhere else. Nice cuts of meat, although the ribeye was not technically the correct cut, all other ingredients are available fresh at Alberstons. Cook them yourself the day prior and reheat it in the microwave, it will be better and substantially cheaper. IHOP and Denny’s are hands down better prepared and tasting food for a 1⁄3 of the price. The chicken cordon bleu was a frozen chicken breast with a slice of deli ham and a slice of plastic covered cheese on top. Pathetic. I challenged the chef, and the readers of this post, google chicken cordon bleu, and then never go here!

Indian wells. This place came with high reccomendations. Sadly it Dosnt live up to the hype. I would like to reiterate what another reviewer stated«Fine dining prices, with a truck stop menu» Although this place does have it’s charm the view is beautiful if you get Sit in The main dining room. For me I was sat in a brick walled room which was painted like your at an OK Corrall and honestly represented the restaurants quality more accurately. firstly I was brought water which tasted like it was straight from the tap. I read in there menu that apparently spring water if so maybe someone should check that spring out possibly too many tourists are urinating in it. To start off I ordered the potatoes skins for an appetizer. Immediately I was shocked to see that the skins were basically your run of the mill frozen potatoes skin type of deal. Immitation cheese sauce and bright red artificial BACONBITS! Overall terrible! For my entrée I ordered the Chicken Breasts one breast with a side of steamed vegitables. The chicken breast wasn’t terrible but it was great either I’d say it was about a 7. The steam vegitibles were obviously taken from the frozen vegetable section of the super market. For my other side I was brought garlic bread this was another frozen box special but it was very tastey as most frozen box garlic bread is. Kinda hard to mess up garlic bread. All in all not a place I would go out of my way to go to. But if your hungry it will provide mediocre sustenance.

The steaks here are great. They get their meat from Tender Cuts in Ridgecrest, a fabulous and economical butcher. I also like the ambiance of a sunset dinner in their back room with the large windows. Very pretty, and the closest to white-table-cloth dining in this area. However, I’m not quite sure what’s going on with their scallops. Last weekend we came for Saturday night dinner with my father in law, and one of our orders was the sirloin and scallops. Images of lovely white scallops delicately sauteed a crisp brown on the edges danced in our heads, but tiny balls of greasy fried cornmeal is what arrived. It literally tasted like a sugared hush puppy from Long John Silvers, with artificial ‘fish flavor’ added to the center. Just terrible. Stick with the meat and potatoes here.

Ordered the rainbow trout and the rib eye. Came with salad and a baked potato. Salad was dismal. Was in desperate need for veggies, tho. Blackout stout had notes of Dr. Pepper. Weird. Rib eye and trout were good. Left full. Not much else to say… just ok.

Went here many times for dinner & picked up ‘Growlers’ for my Dad. The had a wide selection of micro brewed beers — there wine selection wasn’t very impressive. The steaks are awesome and I like the salad that they serve at the beginning of the meal is unique and tasty. Nothing beats the view while the sun sets over the desert. It sits up on a hill and looks out across the desert towards Ridgecrest. It’s a little hard yo get to, due to it’s remote location. But well worth the drive!

Stopped here for dinner with my boyfriend when making our way home from Death Valley; what a gem in the middle of nowhere! Best steak I had in a long time — and beat everything I just experienced on my business trip in Montana. For real!!! Seating took a while — it was 7:30pm and the place was packed(Friday). We waited for a good 10 – 15 minutes until we were even greeted. The waitress apologized genuinely and the rest of the night the service was way above expectations :) I wish I’d remember her name because she deserves extra praise. Her genuine service and attention to detail really made us feel welcome and forget the initial wait. The atmosphere is rustic. Loved that the entire length of the dining room is glass with view on the desert — and this night … the full moon! The opposite side of the dining room is a rustic stone wall w/fireplace. We had the fried Mac n Cheese to start. Yum! The house salad comes pre-dressed and could’ve been a hit(very tasty mix) but it was overdressed and a bit too oily — however, the delicious toasted bread that came with it made me forgive this fact. I had the«Field & Stream» with a perfect loaded baked potato: Baked trout(deboned!!!) and nice thick aged sirloin steak grilled to perfection(medium rare). It was delicious! My boyfriend wanted the Prime Rib, but they were out already. He had the Rib Eye instead and also gave that a thumbs up. One star knocked off for not having regular sodas available. He wanted a Coke, but they only had homemade cola. He hated it and it kinda put a damper on his dinner experience. Room for improvement also with the water served: it smelled weird(maybe chlorine?). Instead of serving it in a pop top bottle, I’d suggest a carafe with lemon pieces & ice. Great food in a unique setting & comfy atmosphere. I can definitively recommend this place!

We made an impromptu U-turn on the road to check out this place. There’s an insane number of soda choices that are stacked for show on the brewery floor! We tried a couple of free samples of the beer and they weren’t half bad. We did end up pickup a 4-pack of their Lunatic Lemonade: one of the smoothest tasting spiked lemoandes I’ve even had(with a decent alcohol content for that nice smooth buzz =))!
