Cottages at Point Reyes Seashore

Point Reyes has been one of my favorite get-​aways for 20 years, and this is the best place I’ve stayed in the area. Beautiful property with its own woods to explore, great rooms, and friendly owners with good advice on hikes, bike rides and restaurants. Can’t wait to go back.

The Cottages at Point Reyes Seashore is formerly Inverness Valley Inn. We stayed a few nights for the first time. Loved the setting in redwood, forested area. Beautiful, spacious room… very clean and super comfy mattress. Great water pressure for shower.
Rooms are 4 to a building and shared walls but all guests were considerate so we heard nothing to spoil the tranquility of the place.
Loved the small kitchenette so we could reheat some food we brought from home, thus saving on restaurant prices which are high in the area.
If you are light sensitive, bring an eye mask because the upper part of the floor to ceiling windows let in the first light of day. I loved waking to see the tops of redwood trees and dozed back after covering my eyes.
New owners are doing a nice job of providing a good motel experience. We will go again.
