We just moved here from California and have tried 3 other pizza places that I won’t try again but I was not about to give up on finding a great pizza joint. There was a flyer in the mail today for this place so I decided to try it. Gets 5 stars for everything. From ordering, to speed of delivery, to taste. Best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. The crust was perfect, not to thick or too thin, the sauce was perfect, and just the right amount of cheese. So good. Knots were good too. I’ll definitely just stick with this place from now on. Thanks guys!!!

Definitely above average pie and better then the chains which I try and stay away from. Sauce has a very good not so canned flavor to it. Defiantly would eat here again

Very Poor food Handling. Server was cutting Salami for salads w/o gloves while wiping is forehead. Then leaving the work station and serving customers/mixing drinks back to handling the salami w/o washing his hands. I ordered a deep dish Pizza That was paper thin when I went back with it I got a lecture about that is how they make them. I replied with I drive 5 miles because I like the pizza but they didn’t know how to make a deep dish which is thicker crust. The owner then proceeded to tell me they were in business for 45 years And instead of Making my pizza proper she handed me a refund. I will NEVERGOBACK. Just the picture in my head of the way the server was handling food did it for me. Imagine some persons forehead sweat in your antipasta Salad. Also while waiting for my order and observing it was obvious The wait Staff(1) was very inexperienced. THey are priced kind of high for the area and a regular pizza is also VERYVERY Thin which is there norm. But the fact that no gloves were worn and they were cutting the salami by the sink up front then walking away and coming back to it w/o Hand washing. Think about it the salad salami is served cold not run through an oven so the bacteria from his forehead is still there. How can u pour and serve a drink then go back and handle food in an unsanitary area and NOT washing your hands or putting on gloves. I will admit the regular pizza’s are good but over priced. Will Never go back. Now that Lona’s is closed :-(I travel to JOy and Harrison in Livonia and get my pizza From Amicos. There spaghetti and meatballs are also great. Used to be Good Food We have gone to Gracie See’ for years. We havent been in a couple years. I ordered my favorites, oil and garlic spaghetti and fettuccini alfredo. Both were just awful. There was no oil and very little garlic in the pasta. I was basically eating unsauced spaghetti. The alfredo was like glue. It was cheesy but no sauce. The noodles all stuck together in a gelatinous mess. Awful. The only bright spot on the meal was that the Dago fingers were still good. And the marinara dipping sauce was good. Other than that, this meal was a bust.

I’m fixing the Unilocal cred of this place. I’m biased, first off. I grew up four blocks away from the original, they were the only pasta place I knew of, my mom waited tables there back in the day AND it was the ONLY place I knew that would deliver beer and you could pay by check. We went there for every celebration, it was a little dirty and dark but playing the tabletop jukeboxes made up for it!!! In the ‘80s and ‘90s it was always possible to run into a Red Wing. Now this is the the original in Warrendale. This location is in Inkster and actually closer to where I dwell now. Tommy owns both but Tommys son runs this one,(but I did see Tommy there today!;).). Where to start?! They make there own dressings! Silly you say to start with, hush your mouth. They make Italian(that normally I don’t even like) and Ranch. It’s the good watery Ranch that tastes nothing like jar. Gnocchi, I’ve ordered this pasta almost EVERYTIME I get pasta since I was a babe. Order with meat sauce, thank me later. So, picking up a pizza today is an easy choice. We get the party pizza(meant to take a pic but food brain took over) cheese only, well done. Don’t be scared of well done, it just slightly chars the bottom. Being its in Inkster, I’ve never eaten in but the specials look good. They have a full service bar, tvs, email club with coupons, punch cards. They deliver as far as you’ll pay. If you want fancy, don’t go here. It’s a mom and pops, Gracie is an actual person, though maybe deceased. It’s nostalgia of old school family, community joint. You know everyone’s name, they know yours. Ok, I’m done.

I love this place. They have won awards for their pizzas. The staff is friendly. I used to come in for their Greek pizza. It was the best. It had better flavor than the Greek pizza that I have had from Greek pizzarias. But they discontinued it. I previously tried their Middle Eastern Explosion pizza, but found it to be too spicy hot for me. Recently, I tried the Middle Eastern Explosion pizza again; only this time, we asked for it to not have so much of the hot spices put on it. And the staff not only accommodated us, they were quite cheerful about accommodating us. The resulting pizza was wonderful. It had the balance of flavors that the Mediterranean countries are renown for. I loved it. Thanks, guys, for always being open to changing the pizzas to match your customer’s tastes.

This is one of those reviews that I actually feel bad writing. Where to start? We found out that this full-service restaurant delivered to our house! I ordered the«Feeding the Mob», which consists of a Large 1 Topping Pizza, 8 pieces of Chicken, 2 Orders French Fries & a 2 Liter Soda. Something for everyone! The disappointment on my husband’s face when he looked at the food was enough to make me feel horrible for suggesting we try something new. Let’s start with the fries(I had an order of Onion Rings as well)… As you can tell by the attached pictures, the«fries» were a flaccid, soggy, greasy, chewy mess! The onion rings were cold, chewy and had a really weird THICK batter on them(gag!). My dog turned down one of the fries! Next, the pizza… The pizza wasn’t AS bad. Cold, but a crunchy crust. I thought that maybe that was salvageable and that I could feed my kids at least. Then, my husband(who used to manage Como’s Pizzeria) mentioned to me how only ONEHALF of the pizza had cheese, which generally means it was dropped or(hopefully) carelessly made/transported. Maybe the chicken??? The biggest travesty of all. The«Chicken». I actually felt bad that this chicken had to die and then be treated with such disrespect and dismissal. Talk about adding insult to injury! If the timer on the fryer said«3 Minutes», this chicken MUST have been subjected to 10 Minutes of NUCLEAR torture in the old grease(you could smell it) and then, not to be drained properly, or at all. The poor chicken looked like it had fallen asleep on the beach with no SPF protection! You could tell that it was frozen chicken, which is understandable, but the burnt offerings in our container were just pathetic. The grease penetrated through the entire chicken piece! I called, they refunded my money, but that didn’t make my kids less hungry. I took the skin off of a chicken leg and fed the meat to my dog. I’m monitoring him closely. The 2 Liter of Diet Pepsi was EXCELLENT! A must try!

Birthday Buddy Time! Of course it’s Kenny’s birthday so he gets to pick the place. He says to me, «Remember when we went to Gracies’ just before we went to college»? Of course I do, it was forty years ago, but I did. We went to the original in Dearborn. I remember it because the drinking age was 18 and we sucked down several pitchers. I didn’t remember how the food was back then. My memory is good but not that good. Of course we went there starved. They had a special meal deal for the day we went. Meal for two which consisted of a Godfather, small pizza, an appetizer and a drink. We opted out of the drink for a couple of beers. We had the buffalo wings for appetizer. They were okay. Not bad, just not the best. Then they brought in the Godfather. This is a twelve by nine inch platter piled high with pasta, Italian sausage, meatballs, mushrooms, smothered with meat sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese and baked. This was a very good pasta dish. I would come here for this and this only. The sauce was a little bit on the heavy garlic side but I enjoyed it. The sausage was good as well as the meatballs. By this point we were pretty stuffed. Then the pizza arrived. Of course we can’t leave it. So we each ate a couple slices of pepperoni and sausage. It was pretty good, not the best, not the worst. The restaurant decorations(if you call it that) were a little dated and old looking. The service was pretty good. Very friendly. We enjoyed this meal as we were also watching the Tigers in a playoff game. Oh well, maybe next year Tigers.

We had the double deuce pizza and it was really is normal thickness and the pepperoni had lots of flavor. The restaurant is larger than it seems from the outside. Everyone is friendly. Four stars!

This is the best pizza that I have had all year, period. And I have had a lot of pizzas this year. This is the first time that I have visited this location. I usually go to the one in Dearborn. This is one of those great cheesy pizzas that the pepperonis curl up filled with grease. Very flavorful.

I have order several times from Grace See Pastaria. The last couple of times I have been very disappointed. Tonight I ordered a deep dish pizza which was delievered cold and undercooked. The crust… actually was raw dough, had to bake it in the oven. I also ordered half pound of shrimp which could not be eaten. The shrimp was cooked till it was totally dried out and hard. Even my dog, who loves shrimp wouldn’t eat one. Last, I received an order of French fries I had not ordered yet was charged. The only thing in my order tha was good was the 2liter pop. I will not be ordering from this place again. I feel bad about complaining, but like I said the last few orders have been screwed up. Suzie C. Inkster, Mi.

Ordered pizza for delivery last week. The food was expensive for it is. The delivery is made without any bags to shield the food from heat loss. The order was not correct — pizza was screwed up. Gracies in Inkster is also starting to substitute cheap ingredients for what they used to provide. The location is way too dicey(as in unsafe) to eat inside the restaurant. Don’t know if the car will still be in the parking lot when leaving and I am always looking out for hold up gang bangers on my way in and out. If they continue to provide poor quality food for the current high prices, Gracies will likely be out of business soon.

I had a very bizarre experience here. The food was good but our server was just… spacey? Awkward? Weird? We went around 7pm on a Friday and the place was empty. Not usually a good sign. The dining space is pretty dark, too, which I didn’t really like. There were a bunch of drunk, old douches at a table across the restaurant who reallllly needed to mind their language and volume. They exacerbated the annoyance of the entire visit. We both got pasta dishes. I ordered chicken parm but was a little sad the chicken wasn’t breaded and fried like every singly other Italian place ever. I got bored of the dish quickly, although it was tasty. The meal came with 3 sides. All the sides came out at different times, which was weird. The server never stopped coming to our table. She was very young and obviously thrust into this role way too early. She just hovered too much. She also took our cups to refill them and didn’t come back for several minutes. Then when she DID come back, she didn’t have our cups, so we had to ask where our refills were. She was scatterbrained. I imagine our young server’s head would explode if given responsibility of more than one table… Jacob and I could not stop laughing about her odd behavior. The food was good… the atmosphere and the service left much to be desired. I may update my review if we brave the awkwardness and return to try the pizza.

Pretty solid pizza and pasta. Used a Groupon back in 2011 and have been back once since. Service was spotty even though we were the only customers in the place. A pretty safe bet for some good food if your’e in the area. Nothing that was a ‘wow’ but everything was good.

GREATPIZZA! The server, Toya was wonderful as well. She gave great suggestions on pizza, pasta and appetizers. She recommended the deep fried mushrooms, different pizzas and«The GOdfather» pasta dish. We Used our Groupon and went with her suggestions. The only disappointment were the mushrooms. They were cold in the middle the first time, and when she brought us a new order, they were greasy and overcooked. Not fresh. BUT let’s not let that take away from the Pizza and pasta. Pizza was wonderful. We got the same pizza at the Detroit location on Greenfield the day prior and it was a bit more flavorful there, but this one was very similar and excellent. Thin crust(but not too thin), amazing sauce. I’d recommend getting a large or XL because it makes great leftovers. The Godfather pasta dish(we got the half order) was obnoxiously amazing! It was spaghetti piled high with mushrooms, home made meatballs(the best!), Italian sausage and about an inch thick layer of cheese. I hope this place stays around for a long time.

Don’t do it. This place is terrible. I don’t know how the pizza is because I didn’t order it. My friend and I both had pasta. I had the spaghetti with shrimp(which was garlic, olive oil, shrimp, & spaghetti noodles) and it was absolutely terrible. Very lack luster. Absolutely no excitement. The place was dead. Other than the few people in there watching the game at the«bar», we were one of two tables dining in. We ordered the cheese sticks as an appetizer and it reminded me of something I would have eaten at a bowling alley when I was in high school. The garlic bread they serve isn’t all that bad, but also doesn’t really take much effort to dump a bunch of melted butter and crushed garlic gloves over a few dinner rolls. We only ate at this place because I bought their Groupon. I have no intention of returning. Ever.

*4.5 stars* Excellent customer service! I picked up food for the family to celebrate Father’s Day on Saturday night. It’s been our family’s stand-by pizza joint since I can remember, but I have not been in myself in a long, long time. I almost passed the place up! They have done quite the job remodeling both the outside(looks great!) and inside. They now have a complete wrap around bar around the service counter, which is über convenient if you have to wait a few minutes for your food and wanted a quick beverage. There is, of course, the dine-in option as well. Our pizzas and salads were ready right on time. No wait, very friendly folks at the cash register! The woman who rang us up realized at the last minute that they hadn’t given us the«special» price. Not only did she fix our bill, saving $ 9(awesome…), but gave me a punch-card(you get a free small pizza or other option) with a few extra stamps! I would say she went the extra mile. Pizzas were great as always. I love the non-greasy, fluffy crust that’s just blackened in spots on the bottom. The cheese is great, giving you those stringy moments that make the pizza-eating experience. Salads had adequate amounts of toppings(got the antipasto and greek). We were given more than enough dressing, plastic silverware and napkins. The only complaint I have: CANNEDMUSHROOMS. Had to dock a point for this. Really, Gracie?! This is an award winning pizza that’s been around for years. I can’t even imagine why they would opt for the dreaded rubbery, tastes-nothing-like-a-mushroom canned style. Blargh. I’ll remember that next time. Otherwise, get a ‘za without mushrooms and you are looking at an awesome pizza with excellent customer service. They even throw in free cannolis when my Dad comes in. I guess I have many years until I’m on that level with them. :) TIP: Try warming up the left overs in a pan or griddle on the stove(with a little bit of vegetable oil). Gives an amazing crunch to the bottom of the pizza. Love love love. My dad has been doing this since I was a kid. Enjoy!

I have never eaten in, only had carry out… but this is the best pizza. If you like thin-crust pizza, if you like your toppings loaded on and piled-high, this is the place for you. Gracie’s is good at pizza. I am not looking for a fancy dining room or excellent service. I just want to stuff my face with the good stuff, and this is IT.

I’ve only been here once, but it was an odd experience. The pizza was good, but we were there in the summer and they had no A/C, which is fine, except the doors were propped open and there were bees swarming the pop machine. My friends and I weren’t really thrilled with that, considering one of us is allergic. Plus it’s kinda gross. The customer service was less than stellar. They didn’t seem to care whether we were there or not. I haven’t been back in almost two years, but I’d be willing to try it again because the pizza was pretty good.
