Executive Summary
We are a tax exempt 501C 3non-​profit organization, which provides educationand health guidance with resources for at-​risk youthwho are lacking supportor directionin the home. We will accomplish this by providing, after school mentoring, sports league, tutoring, music andpoetry camps and clinics as attractants run by professionalathletes andprofessional entertainers. We want to give the youth in our community the opportunity to selectionwhich one of our programs bestfit them.
SUM 1CARES organizationcreates a unique opportunity to expose andinform «at-risk“youth and their parents in the inner-​city/​underservedchildren considerationthrough circumstances notof their own making by utilizing sports and entertainmentrole models as powerfulattractants. We are able to educate today’s youthat our trademark training camps andmentoring programs, while providing uplifting memories thatcan lasta lifetime.
At our sports clinics, we believe in educationand promoting college in our developing tomorrow’s lead ers by providing role models who themselves have risenthrough adverse circumstances to be community leaders. At each camp we schedule leaders from professionalsports, entertainment industry, fire departments, police department, school district, corporate, mayoral, Senate and Congressionaloffices to speak aboutopportunities andobjectives intheir fields through questions and answers sessions.
This awesome combinationof sports education andmentoring combinedto give inner-​city youtha real opportunity to see and speak to a wide array of leaders in the sports, community service and entertainmentindustries thatcreate a truly memorable look atvarious opportunities beyond the neighborhoodwhere we try to instill the belief that they can achieve all of their goals with hardwork and determination. We supportthose who see the lightinto their college years with financialaid and for those who have shown thatthey are willing to help themselves upgrade their way of life. With a little assistance from your foundationand other organizations like yours, we can assistthem inmaking better decisions intheir everyday life.
