Highly recommend ! I wasn’t too familiar with area and looked on Unilocal to see if there were any healthy veggie options around. Found this place and glad I tried it. I didn’t dine in since I was on limited time, but customer service was great and friendly! I had the gorditas. Everything was delicious !

Stuff I Eat so yummy. Going vegetarian doesn’t mean bland and tasteless. The desserts are also good and flavorful.

Stuff I eat has been on my list for a very long time and today I finally gave it a try. It is a very well maintained eatery with old school furniture. Upon arrival, I was surprised to check the number of people dining in and the people waiting for their to go order to arrive. A very friendly lady greeted me with smiling face taking orders and I mentioned her that it was my first time and she was kind enough to go through their menu and I ended up getting carrot croquette with a side of sautéed greens and salad. Carrot croquettes were unbelievably savory and crisp with just right amount of spice added, the magical dip(I forgot the name) along with the croquettes is a culinary delight to dig into. Greens were sautéed to perfection and one can very well taste a balanced use of sesame oil and bell peppers in it. Salad and seasoning were spot on. Excellent service, great food and amazing people. I would recommend this place to all the vegan lovers and I’m coming back to try more food.

Before heading to the West Coast, I got my vegan food list together. I’ve heard good things about this place. The sad thing is I waited until my last day in LA to go. I wish I could have tasted a few more meals. I ordered the breakfast scramble, which was ok, but I saw some amazing stuff served. They have great gluten free options and will substitute. I like the combination of Mexican and soul food. I also appreciated the great desserts. I had the pumpkin pie. I would definitely recommend.

Honestly I feel like I’m missing something, but I’ve been here twice and both times I wasn’t feeling(or tasting) what everyone else is raving about. I’ve been a vegetarian my entire life do it could also be that I’m used to a different level of veg food. The first time I went with a non-vegetarian friend and he seemed to really like it, and even said that he wanted to bring his mom sometime. I was underwhelmed, I got a lava burrito and I just remember thinking that it all seemed raw and cold(and definitely didn’t feel worth it for $ 15+ dollars). The second time I went, I figured I missed something the first time around so I went with my mother, who’s also been a vegetarian her whole life. This time we got the soul food platter(since that’s what people seemed to love so much), the classic burrito, and a sandwich. My favorite out of the soul food platter were the Mac n cheese(which needed a little more salt) and the cornbread(?). Otherwise everything(again) was a little ehh(and for $ 50?). All in all maybe I was looking for real soul/comfort food. If you like vegan food that essentially seems like raw food and some money to spend go for it. I’m the type of person that likes vegan food that doesn’t taste any less than non-vegan food, and I’m also pretty frugal.

Have been wanting to try out this spot for a long time and stopped in on a Friday afternoon. It’s one of the only businesses bustling on market street in downtown Inglewood. Really friendly people working there — they take time preparing your meal and you can tell they take pride in what they make. Everything had really great flavor and tasted fresh. A welcome, health-conscious and tasty option for eating out in LA. The portions are generous so you’ll leave full, happy and best of all, with leftovers for later!

There are few dishes I wish I can put in my pocket for future convenience. The enchilada pie from this restaurant is definitely one of them. The enchilada pie was a mixture of Mexican food infused with soul. The beans were just right, the kale perfectly seasoned to perfection, and the tomato base was the foundation to it all. I recommend this place to any vegan and non-vegan with an appetite.

I’ve been meaning to go to this place for months, ever since Buzzfeed did an awesome video there. We’ll I finally made it to Stuff I Eat on a Sunday afternoon and I will say, they now have 2 more customers for life(or as long as they stay in business… whatever comes first). First let’s start with that everything is vegan… no matter how confused your taste buds are! The food is fresh, flavorful, and not weighed down by oil, grease, or meat fats so you get the full experience of good, gearty, and healthy vegan food with a soul food twist. I ordered the organic soul food platter. It came with bbq tofu, mac n cheese, yams, potato salad, corn bread, black eye peas, and stewed kale. all for $ 15! You cant beat that price and you can’t beat the taste. Omg! I was on cloud 9, and felt like I was taken back to 1997 and in Big mama’s house on a Sunday(Soul Food reference for those that are lost). My boyfriend got one of the daily specials, carrot croquettes with Mac n cheese, and a sautéed spinach mix. Those were just as delicious. The consistency was that of a crab cake with many rich and vibrant flavors. The décor is great! Eclectic, inviting, and open. Everything you expect in a vegan spot. One of my favorite parts was there were people from all walks of life enjoying the food. There was a group dressed in their«Sunday best», a few young people, older folks, kids, and us(who traveled all the way from downtown to see what all the fuss was about). Overall the experience was great. If it’s your first time, I’d recommend starting with the classic soul food platter then working your way from there(you will be back). For me, I can’t wait to go back and explore their menu more.

Welp, this is officially the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to. Absolutely delicious and a great experience. The owners immediately greeted me, told me all about their mission and their menu, and once I ordered the ever so tasty Somethin Somethin(that’s right, you heard me), I knew I would be back. It had a little kick(of which the owner insisted she got the heat level correctly), some mango sauce, and all the right flavors. The rest of the menu also looked on point. Parking was easy right out front and the food wait was not long at all. See u again soon!

Fresh healthy food is being offered here at great prices. The dishes are definitely large in portion and can be easily shared or taken home to finish up. The ambience of this spot is reminiscent of cafes in DC or NYC and really made me feel comfortable. For every vegan, vegetarian or even those who eat meat; this place deserves your opinion so come try it for yourself.

A wonderful place. They have quite a diverse menu – in addition to vegan soul food, they offer various Mexican and other dishes. I had one of the specials, carrot croquettes, and shared a biscuit and gravy with my brother. I was struck by the large amounts of fresh vegetables they add to their dishes – very healthful, as well as delicious. The place had a nice, chill vibe and local(?) artwork on the walls. And the staff were friendly. I’ll be going back whenever I’m in town!

Just checked this place out today and can I say café gratitude eat your heart out !!! I love this place. It’s one of those neighborhood places that you pray will always be around. Super friendly customer service with genuine people. Also super attractive. I don’t know why vegans are usually the most beautiful people. It goes beyond their looks it’s like their spirit is pure. Lol Now on to the food I ordered a bunch of sides. I ordered the potatoes, the kale greens and the black and wild rice . The potatoes were good. Different. I’ve had a lot of similar roasted potato dishes and these were definitely unique. I don’t know how to exactly describe them. 4 stars As for the black and wild rice also very unique and flavorful. 5 stars And lastly the big winner … The Kale Greens were amazing. So flavorful. They don’t need hot sauce. Btw unlike most people I hate kale. And I’ve disliked most versions I’ve tried of this southern staple. Nothing has even come close to my grandmothers version until now. It’s so much better and best of all its vegan . Check this place out if you get the chance !

This place is amazing! The food is delicious, fresh and healthy. As a vegetarian, I find that many restaurants fail to season thier food well. Not this place! One of the best salads I had before, the enchilada pie is yummy, the veggie burger gets 2 thumbs up, and the fresh juices are just a bonus. They also sell natural products like soap, deodorant, and lotion. If you go on a good day you may get to hear the owner sing to the entire rest :-) She has an great voice and an even greater personality. Stuff I eat is definitely a place to visit for vegetarians and you meat eaters out there. I’ve taken a few of my meat eating friends and coworkers and they enjoyed it as well.

Wow, I don’t even know how to describe this place. Location isn’t very noticeable Nothing on the menu sounded attractive to me but I was so shock by how amazing the food was even though I’m not even sure what I was eating at the beginning. We ordered this plate which I believe it’s called Organic Soul food platter, it came with tofu, mashed sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and two different types of Cole slaw and some beans and cooked veggies on the side. I would never expect vegan food taste this amazing since I’m such a meat eater but this place def amazed me and if I was ever in this area again, will for sure come back for some more!

Stuff I Eat is such a treat for vegans. The food here is not only delicious but so nutritious, filling, minus the food coma factor. I’ve tried their Soul Food Platter, Pot Pie and Lava Burrito and all the entrees were excellent. You can feel a lot of love went into making the food. The coleslaw and the yam were memorably tasty. After eating a ton of food, I did not leave the place feeling heavy or gross, how was that possible? Soul food should be good for your soul but not bad for your body. Stuff I Eat got this down.

The Veggie Gods approve! The enchiladas, the nachos, yum! But the Burrito! Yes, the Lava Burrito is Master of all Vegan Burritos. This place is a Gem, smack in the Middle of Inglewood, providing great food, service, ambient, and worth every penny. Definetly recommend to all Vegheads and to anyone who’s never tried vegan. Healthy is wealthy, and this place makes your body feel as if it’s been fed edible riches. Your taste buds will approve. Happy Munching :)

Imagine a Native foods in Inglewood but without any white hipsters or college yuppies and you’ll find yourself at a little gem known as «Stuff I eat»… Great spot if you’re Vegan or Vegetarian. It’s similar to Native foods in terms of how they prepare their dishes but the food is ridiiculously good here. My homegirl ordered their enchilada and I hate Mexican food and I was eating most of her food actually… Ordered their hamburger which resembled more of a sandwich but sure… Tasty as well. Really good flavor and good size portions. Good job Stuff I eat. Good job… JY

I had such high expectations for this food given the consistent high reviews but I was disappointed from the moment I walked in and didn’t receive any sort of greeting. I ordered the organic soul food platter and the order process was okay and the service was quick. It was a beautiful display of a variety of colorful, wholesome foods. After the first bite I knew it was not a winner. My first bite was of the mac-n-cheez and it was super bland, no flavor at all and the pasta was really overcooked. The next bite was of the bbq tofu and I was equally disappointed… lack flavor and completely bland. The best things going on this platter were the greens, black eyed peas and the potato salad. I had to force myself to take bites out of everything else but I ended up leaving just about everything else on the plate. I had purchased a slice of sweet potato pie and it was okay but I think my taste buds were contaminated from the other foods I ate. I really hate that I didn’t have the same experience as everyone else who gave them raving reviews so for the first time, I’m questioning my taste buds. If I’m in LA again, I might check them out again just so I can order something else to be sure it wasn’t just an off night. I would really give them a 2.5 but that’s not an option so I’m rounding up.

So, tell me again – why isn’t this the stuff I eat on the daily? Stuff I Eat takes herbivorous eating to a completely whole new level. The dishes here are made not only with love, but also with soul. Paired with fresh wholesome ingredients, and packed with flavor, it’s a definite recipe for success. We ordered a soul platter, and a full salad with sides of the untuna –carrot side salad, «pâté», and the mock chicken salad. I normally encourage my foods to embrace and be the most genuine versions of themselves, and therefore generally keep my distance from mock proteins. With that being said, however, the mock-chicken salad, was fantastic. Extremely fresh tasting, light, and seemingly made of a resistant diced tofu, it was chewy, and texturally satisfying enough to keep me from missing my white meat. The pâté was smooth, savory and slightly nutty. The flavors and spices of most dishes were almost always slightly unfamiliar and ambiguous. Half the time, I wasn’t too sure exactly what I was stuffing my face with, but when food looks, tastes, and feels as good as it does at Stuff I Eat, I couldn’t be too bothered. The soul platter was also a great recommendation(thanks Unilocal community)! It packed all the punches without packing on the weight or the guilt that generally comes with a happy serving of soul food. The kale collards, and the buttery-smooth vegan sweet potato mash were works of pure wizardry. The coleslaw had the right amount of kick and crunch, the zucchini bread round was moist, and the vegan Mac and cheese was cheesy. How? Beats me… This under-hyped little gem tucked and hidden away in Inglewood gives many of the trendier raw/vegan eateries on the west side a run for their money. The food is presented beautifully, tastes nothing like you’d expect vegan food to taste, and feels like a million bucks – better yet, like a million bunches of kale. And from the raw/vegan perspective, what could be better? Vegan desserts, you say? Well, they have that too. You are beyond welcome.

Vegan joint in Inglewod so I came here w/my vegan friend and he devoured the food in less than 10mins. No lie. We both ordered the same thing why? Because we weren’t in a sharing mode and we knew we were starving. We ordered the soulfood platter that comes w/BBQ tofu, black eyed peas, kale greens, sweet potato, potato salad, Mac &cheese, cole slaw, a zucchini muffin of some sort and red beets plus something else can’t remember. We also ordered a kombucha drink and that was delicious. It is amazing how the cook was able to come up w/such a well put soul food platter. Shout out to the cook for that! It’s definitely a place you need to try. The food was a little on the pricey side but that’s the price you get for eating healthier. It’s worth it, I will definitely come back and try something different next time. Also, if you are unsure about an item, don’t hesitate to ask them for a sample. They prefer that then you wasting food, or if you don’t like something they are happy to exchange it for you. Even my friend was impressed… The meal was very tasty, the gentlemen who assisted us was very nice and welcoming and the place was clean as well. I also love the fact that their cups are made from plants! The con I have is the parking. There is only meter parking available, and the place is a bit hard to find if you don’t pay attention. Next time I’ll give their desserts a try as well.
