Really I ordered 3 tacos and they gave me taquitos and tried to tell me they were tacos and they weren’t good at all!!! The fact that they would screw up an order and lie about thinking an average person wouldn’t know what a taco was is so disturbing, it goes to their character and how they run their business. The cooler with the drinks was broken so all the drinks were warm and it wasn’t until the cashier looked at me knowing I would ask why the drinks were all warm did he offer a cup of ice??? Perhaps they’re having a very off day!!! Too bad I would have recommended it as it got many other great reviews!

Carne Asada burrito was fantastic the Asada fries were phenomenal the seasoning on the food was great and if you order the Asada burrito make sure you get everything on it. Oh and try the Horchata it was good as well.

I haven’t seen a lot of places that have california burritos which are a san diegan’s favorite burrito. It’s pretty good there I’d say 4⁄5. The menudo is 3.5÷5. Tacos 4⁄5. Carne Asada Fries 4.5÷5. Service is always good here. They are very nice and service oriented. Food comes out as fast as they can. I’m never really waiting more than 5 mins. I go here for my fix when I can’t drive all the way down to SD for a california burrito.

So… this is hopefully just a temporary review, but one that couldn’t go unwritten. 99% of my experiences at this restaurant have been really good, but there’s always that one that can undo it all. Yeah…we went to make our weekly visit here for tacos and burritos. We usually order 3 chicken tacos Avocado on the side Medium Piña Asada burrito French fries Bottle Soda The trouble started at the order counter/cash register. I’ve been ordering avocado on the side for the better part of a year, at least once a week most months with no push-back or problems. Today was different — I couldn’t have sliced avocado because they couldn’t spare one avocado because ‘an entire crate’ of those babies is $ 75. But I could order guacamole… After the avocado haggling I get my grand total, which was $ 5 more than usual. We uncovered the problem — a ‘miscellaneous’ charge of $ 5. I was offered $ 4.50 back, but… but…I was charged $ 5 and that doesn’t include the sales tax at 9.5% you made. I ended up getting the $ 5 back, with a side of extremely annoyed and very hungry. Fine, whatever, I just want to eat. We get our order from the counter and I’m thrown off by the guacamole impostor on my plate and some rather over-cooked and over-salted fries on my husband’s plate. Something else just didn’t seem right, what is it… what is it??? Oh. I ordered a medium piña but somehow received a small, for the price of a medium. I ultimately felt like all of the price haggling shenanigans weren’t meant to ever go in my favor. Now let me clear up a few things. The young man and the young woman who work here taking orders are super nice and take good care of us and other customers from what I usually see, that’s why we kept going back. I’m also a business owner myself, and customer service is always key. If you have a customer you see on a weekly basis, be considerate, kind and give them the benefit of the doubt. There are so many wonderful alternatives nearby, and I’ll reiterate that our main reason for repeat visits really has everything to do with the typically nice and welcoming service we receive. I’m posting this review because I would hate for this restaurant to lose business because of poor customer service, whether the customer is a first-time or repeat.

Solid tacos, fast service. The hot sauces came in bottles that stayed at your table, so you can have as much mild, hot, or extra hot sauce as your heart desires. Note: the extra hot sauce wasn’t hot at all. I ordered the al pastor and asada tacos along with a medium cup of horchata. Tacos were $ 1.35 each and my drink was $ 2. Tacos were perfect, but I was very disappointed in my horchata because it did not taste like anything I’ve ever had. To me, it tasted like some super sugary bubble gum and left such a strange after taste. I can’t describe it, but I wish it would have been less sweet.

Stopped in for Taco Tuesday. We had 2 carne asada and an al pastor. I also had a watermelon aqua fresca. The fresca was so fresh, there were nice chunks of watermelon in my glass. The tacos were tasty and a steal at 1.00 each.

I was out visiting customer and was starving like a child in a 3rd world country…(sorry, I love saying that. I know, I’m horrible!). Being that I dont know Inglewood all that well, Unilocal helped me find THEE best mexican restaurant! Yes… that was all the spanish off the top of my head, lol. I’m sure its not the best… but This place is bomb. If you’re in the area and note eating here, you are missing out!

I’ve been searching for a place that makes carne asada fries comparable to those I can’t get enough of in San Diego and decided to give this place a try. This place is in the same plaza as Roscoe’s so be sure to read the signs before parking or else your car might be towed. My friend and I shared 4 tacos(lengua(tongue) and cabeza(head) with cilantro and guacamole on top) and an order of carne asada fries. The tacos were amazing! The meats were tender, juicy and full of flavor. It wasn’t overly oily too like some places I’ve been to. The tacos are about the size of your hand, so it is pretty easy to eat 2+ on your own if that is all you’re ordering. The carne asada fries come in a to-go box and we ordered them with shredded cheese, guacamole, and sour cream but without chili(we figured asada was enough meat). They looked absolutely delicious. The meat was flavorful and not dry and I love how fresh the guacamole tasted. I think it would have turned out even better if they used skinnier(and slightly crispier) fries and if they had put more guacamole on top. We only got three small scoops on top for the whole box and that is not enough for the guacamole lover in me. That said, this place did a pretty darn good job overall and I would definitely come back again to satisfy a craving. TIP: Be sure to try the green sauce! You won’t regret it.

Grabbed some tacos to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. They were decent. I wouldn’t go out of my way again for them, but they weren’t bad and super cheap. About a buck and a half a pop. Had the asada, al pastor, and chicken. I really enjoyed their Jamaica. Just the right amount of sweet. The staff was cool and the food came out quick. I think I need to come back and try the Carne Asada fries. Looks like I missed out based on all the reviews. Pros: + Delicious Jamaica + Quick service + Inexpensive Cons: — Meat quality wasn’t great(you get what you pay for)

Got off a plane from Puerta Vallarta at LAX and immediately regretted not eating more tacos in Mexico. I trust my fellow Unilocalers and found this cool little spot about 6 minutes from LAX. I have to say after having the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life last night these still deserve a 4 star. They were super flavorful. My husband said their al pastor was just as good as the tacos we had in Mexico. The beans and rice weren’t the best. They were basic but I added that green mild sauce they have and it made the biggest difference. Now I only regret not ordering the Asada fries. Don’t be like me fellow Unilocalers, get the fries. I had some serious food envy looking at the people next to us eat.

It was our first time here for the three of us — one of whom is from North Carolina and has never had a real taco let alone decent Mexican food before. Considering it’s LA, I was surprised by the ample FREE parking. We were also surprised that we order first and pay after we eat considering that it’s not a fine dining establisment. But anyways the service was great and the food lived up to its name. I got the carne asada fries which everyone raves about. The carne asada was plentiful and juicy — not dry and chewy like some places. The fries were cooked just right with the right amount of crispiness. The sauces in the fridge added the right amount of flavor and heat(believe the hype — the green sauce is THAT good). They also give you a good amount of cheese, sour cream, and guac — they got their portions right! Both friends were satisfied with their meals: carne asada burrito and carne asada tacos. One friend got horchata and the two of us got the hibiscus tea which was omg so good!!! Herbal and sweet and it hit the spot in a good way. Everything was demolished and we paid just over $ 20 for the 3 of us! This place is truly a gem!

ONTHESCALEOF1 – 10, I AMLIKE12.5IMPRESSEDWITHTHISPLACE. ***THISREVIEWISSTRICTLYONTHEIRAMAZINGCARNEASADAFRIES***(INSERTHEART-EYESEMOJISANDFIREWORKS!!!) So, I’ve tried a lot of carne asada fries in my life. In Riverside, there’s this place called JB’s and I would give it a solid 8⁄10. In SD, Vallartas is a solid 9⁄10 because of their bomb orange sauce and the other smaller joints like Albert Tacos in the OC area are like 6⁄10. HOWEVER. MARIA’S RICOSCARNEASADAFRIESWASLOVEATFIRSTSIGHT. Right when I opened the box, I thought the angels from Heaven were singing to me. First bite was the most glorious though… I wanted to cry!!! It looked bomb. It tasted bomb. Do I need to say more!!! SERVICE: 5⁄5 Wait. Everyone was so nice… Whenever I go to King Taco or El Taurino, the ladies aren’t so nice about giving extra sauce or pico de gallo, but I had no trouble getting anything! Service is literally the key in the food business! Keep it up Maria’s!!! FOOD: 5⁄5 CARNEASADAFRIES: Crisp THICK cut fries(not about the skinny life), tender carne asada pieces, fresh guacamole, shredded cheddar cheese or nacho cheese, refried beans and sour cream. UGH, just add some pico de gallo, a side of pickled carrots and jalapenos, and squirt the 3 different hot sauces… You’ll be doing the happy dance with me!!! One downfall were the hot sauces because I really love spicy food and it did not meet my level of spiciness. MERP. AMBIANCE: 3⁄5 Not going to lie, it’s not in the safest neighborhood. I suggest coming during the daytime. The restaurant isn’t too big and there aren’t many tables there. There were definitely more pick-up orders than dine-ins. However, if you’re going to eat carne asada fries, you need to eat it there because no one likes soggy fries… Ya feel me? Overall, BEST carne asada fries in the area. I don’t have any places near me, but I will drive out 18 minutes for Maria’s. They also have a good taco tuesday deal!!! I’m def going to come back for that and those fries!

This place does not deserve the amount of stars that others are giving. … Service: was friendly, although she seemed annoyed by me asking questions. However, the man serving at the counter was very accommodating. Food: ordered the fries like everyone is posting, however there were multiple issues. Fries decent, nacho cheese was not the spicy one, it was bland, beans had no flavor, guacamole terrible, and asada had no flavor and was extremely fatty. The burrito ordered was the same, except it had rice, which had a decent flavor. Star’s based on service and rice. . I don’t recommend, so much better elsewhere

Thank you Unilocalers for this recommendation! The husband and I dined here before a concert at the Forum, since it’s only a few minutes away. It’s a small place, with limited parking and limited seating inside. The carne asada quesadilla was calling my name. My husband got the carne asada burrito. For the price, the food was decently sized and flavored well. I only ate half of mine and ate it the next day. If you use your credit card, there’s an extra charge, but it’s minimal. The sauces are kept in the fridge and you get it yourself. If we’re in the area again, I’d go back and try some of the drinks.

Unilocal didn’t steer me wrong! Was craving breakfast tacos the other day and Unilocal led me to this little taco shop less than 10 minutes away. I decided to go with a chorizo & bacon breakfast burrito. It comes with either refried beans inside or hashbrowns — I opted for the beans. The burrito was thick, tasty and quite filling. The chorizo was a little too salty for my liking but there was no denying the flavor so I’ll be back to try out more of the menu. I also asked for a sample of the pineapple & spinach juice and it was delicious! I ordered a medium drink and will definitely get that again. To top it off, they gave me great service with a smile! Good food, nice portions, reasonable prices and great service= new regular customer! Happy to support this mom & pop shop.

Glad I got a chance to take my son here. Once we arrived in L. A I was like. I’m gonna take you where they have REAL tacos. Not tex mex, not creative tacos, and not some made up stuff put in a tortilla and called a taco. I mean real tacos. BAM! Welcome to Maria’s Tacos. Ordered couple of tacos for my son and I had the torta de carne asada w/some papas, and we shared the aqua de pina. BOMB!!! He felt in love with it and it was nice to spend time with him. Just me and my son. Talked about life and things that matter. Anyways, every time we go home, this is where I’m taking him. I miss you Cali !!! :(

«Dang Boo. Why you gotta be so tasty?» –Me talking to the Torta de Asada the other night. Finding a descent taco spot in the Westchester/LAX area is challenging. There’s so many places that claim to be authentically Mexican and only end up disappointing you. You can be so disappointed and defeated that you’re liable to settle for large franchise taco from a «Mexican Inspired» place. Name of that franchise doesn’t ring a BELL at the moment. I say NEVERSETTLE! Especially when searching for Quality inexpensive Mexican Inspired Food. Marias Ricos Tacos is truly a diamond in the rough. tucked away in a strip mall on Manchester Blvd(you know next to Roscoes House of Chicken & Waffles parking lot) MRT offers exactly as mentioned above…“Quality inexpensive Mexican Inspired Food”. Its perfect for lunch, dinner and possibly a late night meal. FOOD: Im down with the street tacos they sell. I tried the Al Pastor and they tasted like heaven. Very simple as it should be. Marinated pork with cilantro, onion, salsa and a wedge of lime. And psssst… they’re only $ 1.35 each! You’ll be good to go with 3 or 4 of them. Other Tacos offered are: Asada, pollo, Lengua and Cabeza. On the second visit, I brought along kiddo. She did good with a No.3 Combo. Three tacos with a side of rice and beans & I had the Torta de Asada combo. This came with a side of fries. I should have requested chips on the side cause the torta was a beast! Combos come with drink and are less than $ 10. SERVICE: Its pretty simple and efficient. Order at the register step over to the right to get it to go or take a seat and have it brought to you. It could get hectic during lunch so pack your patience. The food is worth the wait. MISC: They serve breakfast daily. Menudo on weekends. Tacos are $ 1 on Tuesday! There is no public bathroom. Thats kind of a bummer. Oh well. Parking has been ample when I’ve gone. I wish they’d stay open later on Weekends. Midnight is the cutoff. OVERALL: Don’t come here looking for lean, bland healthy meals. This for those with the YOLO mentality and want tasty food at a great price. Ive been here twice and have yet to be disappointed. Im gonna try the carne asada fries next. Holy crap those looked amazing! Cheers.
