Dare To Be Noticed Salon

This was my first visit to this salon, and I had a great experience. The salon is very clean and updated. Ms. Tanyah worked her magic on my hair and gave me the best shampoo I ever had. She even new how I wanted my hair styled without me having to show her a picture. Ms. Tanyah is the best!

This is only my second time going BUT, I love the job that Sultanya did on my hair. I had trouble trasitioning from relaxed to natural and finally decided to do a big chop and go back to being relaxed after 6 months. Sultanya sat with me and did a real consultation without charging extra. She was very passionate about helping me to find the best hair care regimen that suits my lifestlye. Did a crazy fab job of cutting my hair. Last but not least, can’t beat the prices!!!

I went on to Unilocal to find a beauty salon and found this gem! I was completely won over by how you’re able to book an appointment online (AMAZING!) and by the fact that I could pay with my debit/​credit card…(which was not the norm the last time I was in a shop). Beyond that I was highly satisfied with my stylist who actually sat and listened to what I had to say about my own hair and I left a happy customer! The environment was nice and the stylists seemed to be like family.

Today was my very first experience at Dare to be Noticed. I loved everything about it. Everyone is very friendly and greets you as soon as you walk into the door. I had an appointment with Marlon and I must say the man is a genius! I love my haircut. I will definitely be going back and doing lots of referrals.

I have been coming to the shop for for most of my life. My whole family get their hair done here, from my grandmother to my aunt to my daughter. They truly understand hair and it’s dynamics and they take time to explain it to you, everyone’s hair is different. I truly recommend this shop to anyone who truly care about their hair and it’s health.

Ok, let’s start off with customer service. the customer service is beyond great b Silas are all amazing and are always nice and professional (To the extent that a family environment shop can get) everyone is willing to help you and no one is willing to jip you. The stylists love what they do and love helping people retrieved the look they want.
Alright, next I will move on to pricing. The price to be noticed is not the cheapest there is which is why this review has gotten 4 stars instead of 5. They’re not that bad, however when I paid $ 20 to have my ends clipped, that’s where have to take a step back. I would love to come here every two weeks but I just can’t afford to have my hair styled and washed twice a month for $ 100.
Next, I’ll move on to the ease of making an appointment. I use the website that they provided and it’s beyond easy; it tells you the price of what you want and when the stylist of your choice is available for that service. It makes things a lot less stressful.
And last but not least the quality of my hair style. I have never left disappointed, feeling at a loss, or having buyers remorse. I’ve always left feeling like a queen. Darlene and Tay Tay are the only 2 I’ve been to so far but I still want to make my rounds around the shop to try other stylists. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been beyond satisfied and happy with their work, I just have seen the work of the others and want to try them all. They’re all amazing artists and I can’t wait to experience their work.

I am so glad I found this salon! Marlon the owner does my hair and wow it was an excellent experience. Marlon takes time to really get all of the chemicals out of your hair so that you don’t burn the next day or have breakage.
There is no long wait to get your hair done and when he shampoos your hair he massages right along with it. You almost feel like you’re at a spa! I am just so happy. I finally found my home. Thanks Marlon for excellent work.

Marlon is freakin AMAZING. I have been going to Marlon for years and he has given me color perfection and has styled my hair both straight and curly. I love going to DTBN because all of the people are cool and I am always pleased with the result.
Confession: I just stepped out yesterday to try to go to another salon that specializes in a certain type of curly hair treatment process, and I left feeling disappointed about having spent a good portion of my rent money on «meh.» (I wrote a review about it). For whatever reason, I was thinking, «Well, Marlon doesn’t „specialize“ in natural hair, so I’m going to try something else.» Mistake. Marlon hooks me up, consistently, and I was trippin’. I mean, he *teaches* other stylists how to cut. What was I thinking?
Then I realized that on top of the fact that I have been getting great service and quality for over 10 years, I have not taken the time to write a review. So, there you have it. When you have a good thing, stick with it and give props where due.
