I recently had the opportunity to officiate a wedding at Parkway by the Lake. I found it to be a great ceremony site and banquet hall. This budget friendly location has everything you’ll need for your big day; wedding chapel set up, bridal suite, scenic lakeside locale, bar service, and much more.

I have been to several events at Parkway Banquet & Catering in the past several years and have been pleased with the food and service. This is on a quiet lake and there is a fantastic view of the lake especially at sunset. A comfortable outdoor tent adds extra room to the guest area. All-​in-​all, a very comfortable place to enjoy an event.

We attended an evening wedding here on the big Labor Day weekend. The place becomes an absolutely beautiful location when the sun sets and the lights turn on.
The photos taken across the street with the lake were perfect, resulting in some awesome, epic shots. Just pay attention to the traffic as you cross the street, no need to become a widow.
The person (owner?) who orchestrated the wedding and reception was thorough.
Interesting fact, the bride and groom had reserved the place for their wedding 5 years ago but the army had other plans, including an army wedding and a move. Pretty cool that the owner honored their reservation for a date 5 years ago and allowed them to arrange this date.

Great food, very nice facility and a beautiful view of the lake. Would recommend this for smaller events.

the day was finally here and we attended thr blessing of my friends marriage… I had been told by them of the gorgeous venue which they chose to have both the ceremony and their afternoon reception and was completely taken aback when we actually arrived and did not see their vision… at all!
First we parked in the rear and heard an announcement over an intercom that the guests should move into the tented area for the ceremony… so we scooted as fast as we could past the dead flower planters with spider webs, (before halloween, these were real spider webs) to the tent, but could not enter, for there was no nearby entry… so we scooted around to the front of the hall to enter…
we were seated in the «tent» that was decorated with fake flower baskets that hung around the perimeter on one side and a make shift alter was a little to be desired. with fake trees… the décor could have been spectacular, since the tent itself seemed very nice… i say lose the fakes…
the reception room was nice and had immense potential… but the layout was horrible… the table that held the place cards was against a wall next to the DJ…
the cake was off in the corner by the bar, so all the guests could not see the cutting… the buffet which held the food was against a wall with no dimension, no design, and little signs that was hand made… sloppy…use a computer and pre print the food entrees… it looked very un– proffesional!
the food was horrible! nothing like my friends had described! The salad was ok… the twice baked mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes with bacon and cheese added… along with a box of salt… the italian chicken tasted as if they took frozen chicken cutlets and poured italian dressing over them… the lasagna rolls tasted like frozen rolls heated for the occasion …
the dessert table was a joke! little pre made, frozen like pastries on plastic platters… but to make it worst, they had paper foam plates to eat off of! Foam plates in a banquet hall for a wedding… we were not in a park outside… no need for paper plates… but i guess it matched perfectly with the plastic throw away cups in a stack on the tables for water…
i do not know how this place can be a wedding wire… knotty…site of 2012…
it was very dissapointing to attend this wedding… i am sure my friends paid a nice amount per person…
I feel this place needs needs a responsible catering manager to over see and make this place what it could be…
it has great potential
