Good every time I go! The counter lady is always nice and the food is cheap for its deliciousness. It’s been a local favorite for everyone since their high school days. Too bad they’re not open weekends, but wow is this place great! And they have a variety of options as well.

Sweet Mary, mother of God, I love this place. While I can’t really say much about all the stuff on the menu, the chicken fried rice is the best I’ve ever had. Actually, for at least 4 years, it’s the only thing I’ve had there. Now I know that may seem like the most Gringo dish to pick, but hey… it’s really good. And I’m not comparing it to Mao Tao or any of the other mediocre-to-horrible Asian food places in Corpus. It’s great compared to anything I’ve ever had anywhere. And if you do manage to find something you aren’t crazy about, you can always douse it in Sriracha sauce. Hu-Dat, combined with the City Tortilla Factory are reason enough to visit Ingleside. Plus, if you have family there, you can always pretend like you’re there to visit them.

Yes, this is one of the Hu Dat restaurants owned by Dat Nguyen’s family. I’m not sure if all the locals know how fortunate we are to have such reasonably priced Vietnamese cuisine in South Texas. We eat at Hu-Dat’s regularly and love all the dishes. My favorites are the bun combos and the hunan dishes Last week, while in St Louis, I hate at another similar restaurant and was excited to find they also offered the bun combo dishes. I ordered this and although it was just as tasty, it cost twice as much!
