Cactus City Rest Area – Eastbound

Can I get home by 7 a.m. without endangering myself and other drivers? No. What do I do? Put up the sunshade to keep the argon light out of my eyes, close them and count a few desert bighorns and saw a few mesquite logs for winter BBQs.

I’m heading East toward Phoenix and Mother Nature is calling already, geeze! Well I can’t exactly pull over on the highway and tinkle in the bushes, now can I?
A rest area, PERFECT!
This rest area is located 15 miles East of Indio, along Interstate 10, Eastbound.
Parking are large enough for cars, plus RV’s and big rigs. Dog walk area, covered picnic tables, running water, pay phones and clean restrooms. Handicapped Access too!
Nice place if you need a quick break or a little longer rest time.
