There are very few things that makes me sadder than a bad pizza experience and unfortunately this was one of them. The pizza was ok but for the price we paid for a single pizza it should have been out of this world. The crust seemed over baked and then was made soggy by the sauce. Overall, I think you can find better pizza at a lower price at a number of other places.

Calzone was very tasty. Make your own with three toppings runs you $ 12 for a large, good for two people. The salad was below average and the dressing, blue cheese, was homemade but it was very watery and tasted like nothing.

Everything I Never Knew I Always Wanted Best pizza in Indianapolis hands down. Some place may have more interesting toppings, others may claim wood-fired ovens, but NO other Indy pizza puts it all together as well as WB Pizza. The owner has stated that the dough is made in house daily, and the zesty sauce is slowly simmered and you can tell. The employees work their butts off to make sure everyone is well satisfied. They run a lean ship. I have never seen more than 6 employees working at a single time, and each one has to juggle multiple tasks. The prices are higher than the national chain’s fast food pizza, but you do get what you pay for. Many other pizza places have to cut down on the amount of a topping when you add more than one so their pizza cooks right, at WB they cook each pizza individually in a deck oven not on a conveyor belt. It takes great attention to detail and a quality staff to pull off. Just how good is the pizza; During a recent visit to WB, I witnessed an argument almost break out between two friends over it. Both people ordered individual pizzas, when the 1st person’s pizza was put down the 2nd person, who was so anxious to get the tasty pie into his gullet, assumed it was his. Before the intended recipient knew what was going on a good portion had been scarfed down by the friend. As if that is not crazy enough, the action that the quick thinking staff at WB took next saved the day. Without hesitation, they started a new pizza, cooked it and delivered to the table without charge. Now that is service. [Note to self: always order a pizza big enough to share] Every place has pro’s and cons, and it cannot be all sunshine and puppies. Because the pizza is not made by a robot or cooked on a conveyor belt sometimes a mistake is made and the pizza needs to be remade. My experience is, if you let them know about something they will happily make it right for you. The other issue is the space; the unassuming strip-mall storefront, and the 70’s looking wood-paneling are outdated for the times, but it kind of adds the charm of a bygone era. On a busy Friday sometimes we have to get there‘ a bit earlier or later than when we want because it can be too crowded. As a regular I will end this up with a few pro-tips you can use to make your WB experience just as good as mine. 1. If you do not like the chunky sauce, it contains finely diced onions, smoothly ask them for smooth sauce. 2. If you are not a fan of canned mushrooms, ask for fresh chopped Portobello mushroom to be substituted 3. If the sauce has too much flavor or is too spicy for you, try the quality Roma tomato sauce. 4. They have two types of sausage mild and spicy, be sure to specify, I have made that mistake before, doh.

Where to begin… they make all kinds of things in house, the dough, sauces, and desserts to name a few. Everything I had was delicious. The garlic bread appetizer was crispy and tasty, got it with a side of cheese and marinara. We shared one of their Dinappoli style pizzas, chunky tomatoes and an obscene amount of cheese(which I enjoyed). We also shared a slice of their banana cream cheesecake, it was huge! Ended up spending around $ 30 for the two of us. Would definitely go back.

TL;DR: Pizzas are clearly high quality, but a miserable in-store dining experience will send our business elsewhere. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – My family and I just moved into the area, and we received a coupon for a free pizza here at WB. How exciting! The four of us arrived just before 6 on a Friday night, ready to eat! We walked in the door and stood there for a bit, looking for some indication of what we were to do. Nobody greeted us. A customer sitting at a table near the door informed us that we seated ourselves, which we did. We got our own table, high chair, and menus, and then waited for a server. After 16 minutes with no acknowledgement at all(I know exactly how long it was because my wife hung up her phone right when we walked in and so we had a time stamp), I saw a server greeting a table that had come in well after we had, so I flagged down the next server I could find. He was a little apologetic, but excused it with a «we’re busy.» I’ve waited tables before – 15 minutes without so much as acknowledging a table’s presence is a training or system issue, not a busy-ness issue. Especially since there are only 10 – 12 tables in the whole store. Things didn’t go much better after that. Our server got our drink and pizza orders at the same time. Our drinks — just 3 waters — arrived at the same time as our pizzas. We asked for plates, and he only brought us 2, despite there being 4 of us. He never brought us napkins that we asked for. All of these things are petty individually, but overall create a very negative dining experience. I was hopeful that the pizza itself would make up for it, but it didn’t. I could tell that the pizza was very high quality, but something wasn’t quite right. For one thing, we ordered 2 pizzas, and when they came out one was steaming hot and one barely over room temperature. One of the pizzas was made inconsistently — some slices had little to no cheese and sauce. And finally, the pizza sauce tasted VERY strongly of fennel/anise/licorice, to the point where it got an «it tastes funny» from my wife and daughter. I appreciate the homemade-ness and the craft of the pizza, and I can tell that it’s high quality stuff. But we didn’t care for the flavor, one of our pizzas was cold and poorly made, and our in-house dining experience was awful. If it weren’t for the fact that one of our pizzas was free with a coupon, I would probably feel even worse about it. We won’t be going back.

A hole in my belly has been filled. The vampire slayer pizza was awesome. I switched out the pepperoni for some shrimp. It was delicious. I was surprised in how amazing the PB&J pizza was. My wife says it was too spicy and not enough sweetness. However I thought it was perfectly balanced and loved it. I’m eating here again ASAP.

I only read rave upon rave reviews, so I had to check the join out. Overall, it is a VERYVERY good pizza place. I had one of the specialty vegetarian pizzas and it was divine. My friend had a meaty pizza and he said it was great as well! We got those two pizzas(mine was on special) and an appetizer, all of which were awesome. My only concern: our check came to nearly $ 40, so don’t be surprised to be close to $ 17 – 20 a person when you come here. Granted, it is delicious, but I wasn’t expecting the price that came along with it.

Nice friendly staff and a home town casual dining room. The menu is good and they offer beer/wine which is nice. The crust on their pizza is really good and the toppings good quality. Their pizza sauce and marinara sauce are both lousy. really poor. My tomato hating family don’t notice or mind but it ruins the great quality of everything else for me. My step son, who orders a cheese pizza with no sauce, thinks it’s the best place ever. And I have to say I love that they always get his order right and accept it respectfully.

Disclaimer: I’m from Chicago, so on one hand, I’m a tough pizza critic. On the other hand, I regularly eat frozen pizza, so I’m not a total pizza snob. For the money, skip WBs Pizza and get a Jacks. WBs toppings were plentiful and 80% delicious, but the mushrooms were canned. The crust… the crust is where it went downhill. It was too thin to support the toppings, so they kinda slid off the pointy end. They say«pizza is like sex, when it’s good it’s really good. When it’s bad, it’s still pretty good». No thanks… I’ll be skipping this one.

Above and beyond customer service. Last night when I picked up my order the breadsticks were forgotten. I pull out and sat at the stop light, next thing you know the man was running out to in street to give me my food! saved me a trip back! I was so appreciative! I’ll be going backon

The menu says, «Substantially Better.» I’d be hard pressed not to agree. Fresh ingredients make all the difference. This pizza tastes like people who care made it. The sauce doesn’t have that metallic twinge like it’s «fresh» out of the garden o’ cans. Salty meat and tender veggies waltz harmoniously with gooey cheese on a sturdy yet pillowey stage of crust… That’s it! I’ve used up all of my imagery for this review.. ok, but seriously. The menu is jam packed with flavorful appetizers and crisp salads and mouth-watering sandwiches and wonderful desserts… Trust me, «Leave the gun. Take the Cannoli.» This cannoli is soooooo good, my wife and I opted out of a wedding cake and had them make an outrageous number of them in in mini form… Of which we still didn’t get any. As far as local pizzerias go, WB is among the top of my list. You’d be foolish not to stop in.

Delicious thin crust pizza! The 12″ inch size is perfect for two people, the sauce is very flavorful, good amount of cheese and the sausage is delicious! If you are looking for quality pizza, check out WB’s! I am not local to Indianapolis, decided to try WB’s based on other high reviews and we were not disappointed!

YEEEEEEEUCK! I went there one time and that was the last time I would go. The pizza was burned on the bottom and tasted HORRIBLE! I have a friend that swears by this place. I think she needs to be checked in a Betty Ford because I hated it!

This was a really nice dining experience. Family enjoyed the vegan options. The crust was amazing on the pizza. I tried the turkey tetrazzini pizza and it was exactly what I had hoped and anticipated. Good beers. Not a moment wasted. Good service. I would come here again in a heartbeat.

I’ve been here like a million times, I can’t believe I never posted a review, I thought I already did. But anyway this is our favorite pizza joint in town! It’s my favorite by far, everything is fresh and it’s locally owned and operated. I highly suggest the bacon and the sweet Italian sausage! The sauce is what really makes the pizza here, I think that and the dough are excellent! Sometimes when I bring people here they complain about the prices, but you’re paying for quality and excellent ingredients over franchise pizza which is made with a bunch of byproducts. Also they have a carry out special I believe for pizza and breadsticks.

It’s not very often that a business of any kind can violate one of my core values as a human being and still receive a 5-star rating. Now then, to be fair to WB, they don’t so much violate this value as they dance right on the edge of it. That value? Accessibility. While the restaurant itself is pretty accessible, WB is located in a small strip center at the corner of 62nd& Allisonville Road along with a Subway, a nail place, and I believe a liquor store. I believe there’s a wheelchair ramp on the liquor store end, but not on the WB end and no where in the middle of the building. Accessible parking is also fairly minimal. In short, someone truly dependent for access would need help to access their business. I hate that. I really do. I’m also in a wheelchair, but I’m pretty adaptable and mobile. So, I can make it work. I typically park at the end of the building closest to WB and there’s a small jump up the curb that most folks in manual wheelchairs could make. It’s definitely more challenging in the winter. There’s outside seating for 3 – 4 tables and, again, when these are taken it can be a bit challenging for a wheelchair to get through(though it has improved a bit). There’s a single glass door into WB and an open concept dining area that has multiple spots a wheelchair can use. So, once you get in you should be fine. WB is a surprisingly small establishment. I’m aware that a second one briefly opened up on West 86th Street, but it shut down rather quickly. I’d love to see them in a better location, but I also do like the coziness of this place. They also offer delivery. As you’ve already learned from other reviews, they offer both vegetarian and vegan options and they are clearly marked. I went for lunch today and it seemed like they’d expanded their menu to include more appetizers, more sandwiches, and a brand new triple-layer chocolate cake. They have lunch specials M-F, but not on weekends. So, I ordered a personal sausage pizza with an unsweetened tea for right about $ 9. They have a couple different varieties of iced tea. For my money, there’s no question that WB offers one of the best pizzas in town. It’s definitely one of Indy’s best kept secrets and I can’t imagine a reason that a vegetarian or vegan wouldn’t love it as it’s fresh, quality food that meets the dietary requirement. I’ve got a friend who’s a vegan who swears by the place. The service is always solid, though not necessarily in the«y’all come back now» way. It’s friendly, efficient, and helpful. The guy who owns it has 30 years experience making pizza and it shows. This is not your cheap chain pizza, but an affordable yet well made pizza. It’ll definitely set you back a little more than the chains, but it’ll also leave you happier and healthier. Ordinarily, I’d be inclined to dock a star over the accessibility concerns but I have to say that in the case of WB it’s worth a little hassle because I always enjoy myself and the food is always good. There are no distracting televisions, etc… this is a place where you go to dine and spend time with friends and loved ones. The décor is simple yet warm and always clean. When you talk about the best pizzas in Indy, there’s no question that WB is on the list. Every kind I’ve tried has been top notch and it doesn’t matter what day I arrive or what time I arrive, I’m always treated well and treated to a great meal.

One of my favorite, if not my favorite, pizza places in Indianapolis. Food(get the«Grant Park» deep dish, and substitute bacon for green peppers) is always good, atmosphere and décor is odd(think Jackson Pollock-style paint splatters on linoleum floors) but somehow comforting(and I like that they always have copies of the Broad Ripple Gazette), and service and staff(there’s been very little turn over in the 5+ years we’ve been going to WB) are awesome.

How can I possibly be expected to stay healthy when wb’s has vegan pizza and garlic butter sauce? Zero chance. It is so good and the staff is so knowledgable and helpful. It’s really refreshing to go to a place that not only serves vegan food alongside the nonveg food and the staff is informed about these items and does not just guess. The seating area is small, yet comfortable, but if you’re feeling lazy or don’t want to venture out in the cool they’ll deliver to you. The best part? Along with your pizza they’ll bring beer and wine right to your door if you ask! Perfect for sweatpants and netflix marathons.

As a vegan, I was thrilled by WB Pizza. The menu items clearly state which items are vegan and our server/waiter(it was a one-man show on a quiet Saturday evening) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Vegans can choose from breadsticks and a couple of other options for appetizers, and a plethora of pizzas/pastas and a stromboli option. WB Pizza offers Teese, which is a great vegan cheese alternative.(Teese is well worth the extra cost as a «topping».) WB also offers you the option of made-to-order deep dish, which is great because many deep dish pizzas already have the cheese baked into the crust. My wife and her sister got a regular cheese deep dish with some veggie toppings which they enjoyed as well. Drink refills were fast and though the décor was plain, the place was clean and that’s all you could ask for. Would come here again, no problem.

So I just moved to this side of town and am a bit under the weather so instead of cooking I decided to order in. I randomly picked this establishment since they were right down the street and delivered. That is one of THEBEST decisions I ever made. They have an expansive menu and also deliver Beer and Wine as well(double win!). I ordered the delightful Sausage Roll and severely underestimated The Grant Park deep dish. I could only eat 2 pieces and that says alot as I am a Hefty Mama that can put away alot of food shall my stomach allow. They have created a new regular!
