Learned about Value World just the other day, and decided to incorporate all three Indianapolis locations into our trip. This was the second one we visited. We were primarily interested in toys, but the selection here was paltry. The shelf was barren, and there were probably under twenty items total, none of them being memorable. The store itself is run down. It is an odd pairing of graphically appealing, useful store signage that was designed on a corporate level, with a decrepit building that looks like it needs to be demolished or renovated(or at the very least, cleaned). It seemed to have more clothing than anything else, but I cannot speak to quality or price as I didn’t pay them any attention. I did end up leaving with a Ziploc bag filled with two Indiana University bears in perfect condition for $ 1.01, a good price for a bizarre item. While I prefer to shop at just about any Goodwill, where I can spend half an hour digging through toys and almost always find something cool, it was at least nice to checkout without the usual quiet desperation of an employee who must ask, «Would you like to round up to the next dollar to support… blah blah blah» as with any Goodwill transaction. The employee who checked us out was neither rude nor exceptionally friendly. I don’t think I will ever drive out of my way to shop here again. The atmosphere was uninviting, and the selection was… what am I saying, the lack of selection, made the stop fairly uninteresting. I might pop in again if I’m in the neighborhood, but it certainly won’t be replacing Goodwill for me.

Value World is great. They have the lowest prices around and put out tons of new stuff every day. I find great deals every time I go.

Doesn’t have much for housewares. Everything is sorted by color but not by size, which is a pain because if you pull something out that you like then you gotta check the size… They have a lot of really dated clothing some of the men’s pants are like from the 70’s and 80’s. On the flip side I walked in and found stuff for 2 dollars a piece. Nice board shorts and some polos for my husband. It seemed like they had the style of clothing sorted too for the most part(sleeveless, shorts, tees, jeans, etc) customer service was fine. I don’t understand how much help you need in a second hand store… What you see is what you get.

Customer service is horrible and they want to deny you service when you get upset with but they can treat you however they want to. This place is a joke not clean def not like the other locations where staff is always nice and willing to help…
