Transformations Salon and Spa

Visited from out of town, booked here based off of reading that it was «Indy’s best day spa». Not bad but definitely not good. Idk who is exactly voting for this place. Basic pedi not worth the $ 40, have had better and more affordable ones elsewhere. Was given a sales pitch mid pedi about the cream they used on my heels which I politely declined. Nail spa massage chairs weren’t exactly great, they were well-​used and will need to be replaced soon. Nail tech talked talked talked all through the pedi, which didn’t make for a very relaxing hour. There is Scripture all throughout the spa painted on the walls which was surprising to me. I love Jesus too but I didn’t feel like it was appropriate or would be a very welcoming place to people with other beliefs. This is a salon/​spa, not a church. If I visit this city again, I will go elsewhere. Definitely not the best salon/​spa in Indiana. I don’t know who is voting for this place.

I have been to Transformations a couple of times but I can’t say they are the best in INdy. One lady did a great job on my highlights but did horrible on my hairstyle. Blow dryed bangs are not a good look on round faced ppl :). But I previously received the best cut and style from some girl who loves homie characters. other than her idk who else is that great. I did the massage and that was alright. It was my first time and I wasn’t sure I was supposed to be all the way naked. As for the Mani and Pedi. They were all right too. Again the price isn’t worth it unless you have that type of cash.

Very relaxing ambiance throughout the whole salon and spa. From the moment I entered, I was surprised to feel instantly relaxed. It wasn’t hard to find as I learned from other reviews that it was in a strip mall. They were very organized knowing who I was and what I was there for. Someone took me to a room with fresh baked cookies, coffee, and water while I filled out my client form and waited for my massage therapist. She came just a minute after I finished and showed me to the room. She asked me for any problem areas, gave me some instructions and slipped out. After a relaxing hour, I was so calm and happy. I was walked out and greeted by another friendly staff member. She gave me a ‘first timer’ bag of goodies and I took a fresh cup of coffee to go. If I am ever back in the area and looking for a spa day, this will be my go-​to!

Excellent customer service at Transformations everyone is friendly and professional. With a full array of products and services at a reasonable price.

They have weekly specials that my wife emails me when she thinks my hair looks a little ragged. I finally stopped by and had my hair cut (with Sam I believe? I’m horrible with names). The facility is clean and the staff was very friendly. The location isn’t ideal as its not the greatest part of town, but the inside puts that all behind you. I’ll be back

Great salon! Doesn’t look very nice from the outside but very nice and professional inside. Took me at the last minute and Kristina did a fantastic job.
Not as pricey as some I’ve been to but not inexpensive either. Well worth the money to not have to drive to the northside for a change.

As a guy, I think they do a great job taking care of me and the whole family here. The staff is efficient and respects our busy schedules. They have taken care of our haircare needs for over 10 years. It is nice to somewhere that they know you by name and care about you as a person. I appreciate the email and text reminders of my appointments and the fact that I can schedule my appointments for months in advance. I don’t have that much hair left, but what is still there is precious and they understand that. Amanda does a great job with being on time and consistently keeping me looking my best.

I wish I could pick up Transformations and move the entire facility to a less obscure location. Its in a strip mall, like almost anything in Indianapolis, but this strip mall is not as (how do I put it nicely?) well-​maintained as others.
I have visited this salon/​spa for a haircut and deep conditioning treatment on one occasion and a massage on another. All services provided were excellent and reasonably priced.
The atmosphere is a bit dated, but the professionalism of the staff and the skilled nature of their work makes up for it!

As another reviewer mentioned, don’t let the area or store front fool you. Transformations is a diamond in the rough.
I’ve been here for a massage, spa pedicure, and for a cut/​highlight and I’ve always left feeling great. Some services can be a bit pricey, so it might be a splurge, but it’s well worth the treat.

If you go to Transformations, don’t let the outside fool you. It’s location, in a strip mall at Madison & Stop 11, is deceptive. Transformations is a great place to go for hair cuts and styling, as well as facials and other spa services. Vivian, the owner, and her staff do an amazing job!
Sadly, I haven’t been here in a while because I’ve been trying to cut back my budget on a few extravagances and facials, by definition, are just a bit pricey, right? However, if I decide to splurge on them again, Transformations will be the place I will go.
I thought the experience at Transformations was just as nice as Studio 2000 on the circle. The atmosphere in the spa is very calm and soothing, and certainly not what you would expect to encounter at a southside strip mall! The towels and robes are plush, and the aesthetician that I always went to — Tina — was great, although they do encourage you to use the entire skin care line that they sell. It’s not high pressure, but they do let you know that you’ll have the best results if you use it.
I also had Vivian cut and style my hair several times — she is really creative and even gave me some funky purple highlights a couple years ago! I highly recommend Transformations to anyone on the south side who is looking for a high-​quality salon and spa. They offer different spa packages as specials every month, and you can find out all about them on the salon’s website.
And with that, I think I have just convinced myself to make an appointment! :)
