A great little bodega on the south side. They’ve got an incredible butcher here. This is probably the best poultry in Indianapolis. Whatever you want, he’ll do it to order. Every now and then, they’ll have a Crock Pot of something good going on. The smell when you walk in the door will sucker you in. And finally… my weak spot. Mexican Coke. This was the first place I ever remember seeing it in the States(although it is everywhere now) but this place is right at the back of my neighborhood. It’s a little run down and a little dark but don’t let that scare you off. It’s got that ‘70s Kmart vibe(with less neon signage). I’m so used to all of the modern grocery stores that I forget that they used to look like this. It’s not that it isn’t clean, it’s just old. Get out there and support your neighbors. Tierra del Sol is way better quality than Walmart and not even a mile away.
