This was my first time coming here and I absolutely loved it! They have many traditional and unique dishes, both types they had a great taste and outward appearance. Not only that, but their staff is friendly and very helpful in their food recommendations. At the end of the meal, they give you delicious complementary cookies. This place is definitely a new favorite. Today’s meal calls for many happy returns.

I found this place using Unilocal and the Unilocalers are right on! This is one of the best Thai places around here. My kids shared the chicken pad Thai and loved it. They use really thin noodles not like the thicker rubbery ones that are hard to chew. My kids ate the whole thing. Me and my fiancé both got the chicken red curry. Great flavors and spices. Oh and don’t forget to start with the springs rolls. They come out hot and fresh!

This is the only Thai spot I will go to ever! Thai Taste is completely on the opposite side of town from where I live but that matters not. The food is so worth drive. Every time I dine at Thai Taste is makes me want to travel to Thailand just to feast!

I dig this place. While it can be tough to get a table during normal lunch hours and the space is a bit cramped, the food is solid. Too many Asian restaurants have resorted to using frozen vegetables, dried herbs, and frozen proteins; not here. The food is fresh and prepared quickly. And come on, who doesn’t like a small piece of rum cake as a post-meal finisher? This is a great option for a quick lunch that’s budget friendly, has good sized portions, and a commitment to fresh ingredients.

The food was tasty but on the salty side. I had the pad Thai and was surprised that it didn’t come with a lime. The lunch menu had an egg roll with soup or salad and the main dish. Lunch time was extremely busy so if you are in a hurry, this may not be the place. The touch of rum cake(came with the meal) was great!

Second visit was just as good as the first. Went with the noodle salad, Tom Yum soup and rice pudding with coconut custard. The perfect spicy, sour, sweet meal. The buffet was going on while I was there(Thursday night buffet). Might try that next time

Thai Taste is my favorite Thai food in the greater Indianapolis area. Today I went with my mom and sister for lunch. We shared three dishes, the appetizer sample, a pot of Thom Ka Gai soup, and my sisters favorite str u fry on the menu, #8. The sampler included small portions of vegetable spring rolls, chicken sate skewers, pork wontons, sausage toast, as well as calamari and shrimp tempura. All were crispy and fresh, we it out any excess oil. Served with chili sauce, plum sauce peanut sauce and rice vinegar cucumbers. Yumm. Then came the soup, tangy and creamy with coconut milk as the base, Thom Ka is my favorite Thai soup. This one had lots of mushrooms and generously sized shrmip. Stir fry #8 was chicken and julianne carrots, bamboo shoots, water chestnut, baby corn, straw mushrooms and celery in a light brown sauce flavored with garlic, chilies. This was more than enough food for us to enjoy family style. I should call for takeout next week.

Please note the lunch special everyone has been talking about is only Tuesday through Thursday. I got the pumpkin curry and it was delicious. Definitely had some heat to it. My boyfriend got the red curry and was very happy with his decision. We started with an appetizer of Thai dumplings and were not disappointed. This is a local family and took care with each customer! Loved it!

This is my go to Thai meal in the Castleton area. If you ask for the Thai heat, you will receive what you ask for. I have never been disappointed by the dishes served at this restaurant.

When my guy and I were looking for something tasty in Indianapolis, we didn’t expect to pull up to a strip mall and find Thai Taste. Unassuming, hole in the wall, and every other cliché small business saying would describe this spot. Aesthetics aside, service is great and the food is good. What’s great about Thai Taste are the extra little touches they put into things. Plating is actually quite beautiful compared to your standard grab & go Thai place. Also, the adorable rice shapes! There’s nothing better than getting rice shaped like a heart or star — so cute and put a smile right on my face. Even when we sat down the owner said I get the special pink menu while my fella got some other boyish color, ha! I had their lime chicken($ 12.95) which was great but could have used slightly more lime sauce. It wasn’t a huge portion for the slightly pricey tag but it got the job done. It had some seaweed topping which was an interesting touch and added some salt to the flavor which was nice. I also had some of my guy’s Mango Chicken($ 11.95) which was slathered in sauce. It had so much sauce I was dipping my dry pieces from my dish into his sauce. The mango chicken was packed with veggies and fruit pieces with small pieces of meat… not quite enough meat, but the flavor was sweet and delicious. Service is more than accommodating at Thai Taste, food was good, prices were a buck or two too high for the portions, but overall we had a very good experience at Thai Taste.

When I go out for Asian food(which is weekly), my car seemingly steers itself to the Westside. I’d argue that overall, this particular side of town is the place-to-be for international cuisine in Indianapolis. However, this argument weakens when it comes to Thai food. As a consequence of my Westside obsession, I am a novice when it comes to the diverse foods of this nation. Thai Taste is a quaint eatery located in Castleton. To be more specific, it is tucked into a little nook in one of that district’s many strip malls. Some folks refer to Thailand as the«Land of Smiles.» This moniker must hold a lot of truth because I was greeted a huge smile from the very friendly gentleman who was working behind the counter. I could not help but notice that all of the other customers were also smiling, which at first caused me to think that my entrance amused them. After assessing the situation, I determined their smiles were caused by the bliss of eating really tasty food. By this point, I, too, was smiling in anticipation. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and as I was picking up a take-out order, I was somewhat disappointed that I did not get to remain there longer. While I despise ordering take-out, I found the process at Thai Taste to be quick and polite; it took about 30 minutes for the order to be prepared. My friends and I began our meal with the Thai Toast and the Fried Won Ton appetizers. Both of these items are stuffed with pork. While I was certainly partial to the Thai Toast, the swine-laden won tons were also irresistible. While irresistible, neither of these appetizers are going to make it on to your healthy eating list. My friends and I possess hearty appetites, and we heavily frown upon dainty portions. Fortunately, Thai Taste catered to our hedonistic desire to overeat. For my main course, I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Pud Thai(Thai hot, of course). I was very, very impressed. Luckily, I was also to sample the Pra Ram Long Srong and the Kai Foo Moo Sub. As a peanut sauce fan, I was partial to the Pra Ram Long Srong. The egg-based, pork-stuffed, sriracha topped, Kai Foo Moo Sub was excellent, and if I were so inclined as to have Thai food for breakfast, this would be my choice. Thai Taste proves that big things come in small packages. While the restaurant itself is small, it provides a larger-than-life, five-star dining experience.

This place is located in the strip mall on 82nd street. I found this place via my trusty Unilocal app. Inside, the decór was somewhat outdated, but the wait staff and friendliness was definitely nice and never outdated! The waitress there was super nice and friendly, and was more than willing to give us recommendations of what to get. I ordered the Mango chicken and my chica ordered the Lime chicken. Neither dishes have I ever had, but we both weren’t in curry moods. Sarah seyz the lime chicken was on-point to what she has had before at other locations. I really liked the mango chicken — it had the sweet oval mangos, either the«ataulfos» or «francis» ones(check out for what I’m talking about. Yes, a website about mangos exists!) There was ample sauce, but I wish there was more chicken. The onions was a-plenty as well. My rice came out star-shaped, which was pretty cool and fun. I felt like a superstar eating it, but only because my lunch companion is a Unilocal-lebrity. BATHROOMREVIEW: Somewhat hidden, the bathroom is located through a door, down a hallway. The doors leading to the bathroom were somewhat dingy. Inside the bathroom, it was decently clean, with a placard mentioning that it is Indiana state law that employees must wash their hands. Good thing there’s such a law! Overall, bathroom was in nice and working order. Sit or squat? Squat.

I was really not impressed. I went for dinner on a Thursday night. They had a few other tables but were not busy by any means. This was the slowest service that I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered tea and crab ragoons as an appetizer and it took nearly 20 minutes. For my entrée I ordered pad thai. It also took an insane amount of time to come out. There wasn’t anything wrong with it. I’ve just had better.

Thai Taste is a gem! The ambiance is nice, the restraint is clean, and the service was great. We decided to try out Thai Taste for the first time on a Sunday evening, which turned out to be a busy night. We thought we’d be turned away because we had a group of six and it was packed, but they shifted around some tables to get us seated. I typically get massaman curry or pad Thai but instead I tried the Lava chicken-medium level. It was very good and filled with fresh veggies. I enjoy spicy food and the medium heat level was perfect. Others at my table had pad Thai and yellow curry-they really enjoyed there food as well. I had a Thai iced tea as an «appetizer» because I can ever seem to make it last very long, it was delicious as usual. We are looking forward to going back and trying out some more items on the menu!

Gold star for Thai Taste! This place is a strong contender for the top spot on my list of Thai faves. Recently, I stopped in for a quick lunch with friends. On the weekends, they do not have a lunch menu, but post a list of current specials. I wanted to try the crispy chicken, but went with my unusual, the Pud Thai(there name for Pad Thai) with shrimp and chicken. My friend ordered crab rangoon for us to share. It didn’t take long for the appetizer to arrive. The presentation of the dish was nice and thoughtful. The rangoon was sweet, creamy, and delicious. If I could, I would eat them every single day. It didn’t take long for the entrees to come out. My Pud Thai was perfection. It was not greasy, heavy, spicy, or overwhelmed with peanuts. Can I PLEASE tell you about the rum cake?! It was by far the BEST rum cake I’ve ever had. Simply amazing. I wanted to purchase an entire cake. At $ 3 a slice, it was worth every cent. This place is great and worth a visit. The staff was always friendly and attentive. Not to mention, they have RUMCAKE. Seriously people. This place is great!

Thai Taste offers a great lunch special for $ 8.95, which includes an entrée(many options to choose from), spring roll, choice of soup or salad, and a slice of rum cake for dessert. I stopped in at 11:30 and the super small dining area was empty but by the time I left at 12:15, it was completely full, with people waiting. There were only two servers total and service was spot on at first but once I received my food, the server never returned and I had to ask for a drink refill and for my check. The Tom Yum soup was a bit spicy but light and flavorless. I ordered the chicken pud thai(yes, pud) in medium and it was just the right amount of spice and was delicious. It was topped with plenty of peanuts and the ingredients were fresh. It was definitely a generous portion for a lunch special and I couldn’t eat it all. Try the rum cake. It doesn’t look like much when they bring it out with your check but it is really good!

Thai Taste, you have just earned another star of approval from moi! I especially like the addition of a lunch menu special where I don’t have to stuff my gut full of delicious carbs early in the day putting me in an unproductive comatose slump. While I absolutely love their pad thai here, I tried really really hard to order up something new. In a haste of indecisiveness because everything is probably fabulous no matter how they prepare it — I’m sure there’s more to it than simply tossing everything together in a wok with no actual recipe or is it? I got«Pud Prik King» with chicken which was a lovely sauteed chicken mélange with curried green beans and just a hint of kaffir lime leaf. It came with a crispy spring roll and tom yum soup(yowza, it was spicy. no need for sinus decongestant). Luckily, I had a large glass of ice water and a creamy Thai tea to wash it down. Ok, this was won me over in comparison to other Thai lunch specials. For under $ 8, a delicious rum cake for dessert is included. Other restaurants give you an orange wedge or nothing. Super nice touch. It was so moist, melt in your mouth, not overly sweet, with a hint of rum-iness(although, it probably doesn’t really have rum in it). I wonder if they’ll let me order a whole cake to go?

I’ve come here 3 or 4 times at this point and I’m impressed each time. This small little Thai restaurant tucked away in an area that is hard to find, deserves every bit of 5 stars. The food quality here is always top notch and the flavors are superb. I almost always opt for the Pad See Ew as it is my fave Thai dish and it always comes out perfect. This most recent visit I came for lunch and you get your choice of dish, a spring roll, big cup of soup and a slice of rum cake for dessert. All for about $ 8. Great deal! I would definitely say this place is tied for my favorite Thai in Indy. Make sure you check them out!

Lunch special is awesome, unfortunately I’m never around this area during the weekday lunch time. One of my favorite Thai places to eat in the Indy area. Another awesome thing is the Thursday night buffet. Allows you to try a variety of food so that you can know what to order when you want an individual item. I actually love spicy food and got«Thai Hot» here-huge mistake. It’s actually spicy and I couldn’t handle the heat-now I know!

«Pud Thai» was fresh, not too much sauce and not thick or heavy. The dish had a good amount of sprouts and carrots. The red chicken curry had a bright and spicy coconut base. It was a little too spicy for me, but I’m a wimp when it comes to level of spicy-ness(I definitely opt for below a 5 out of 10 if given the choice). If you’re looking for classic Thai flavors, this is just what the doctor ordered.

So nice to have good Thai so close to home. The Thursday buffet is only $ 11 and they put out a dozen choices plus soup and dessert. Tried a little of everything and was not at all disappointed with any of the choices they provided. It’s small, fills up quickly. Will definitely come back.
