Sunshine Bowling Center

This place is wonderful! The staff is so friendly and welcoming! Everything is nice and new and wonderful! I really think more people should come here! We will be back soon and often!

Bowled here twice with my wife & son over Christmas vacation because the staff is very nice, and the place is clean. And clean is important when you’re bowling because you’re sharing shoes & bowling balls with strangers and you want to be as confident as possible when you’re eating cheese sticks between turns.

The bowling ally and bar got a well needed face lift. Pretty good price for bowling. They have a good selection of beer and a very friendly bartender. I will be coming back soon for more bowling and beer!

My only complaint is the very old raggedy shoes.

I cannot think of anything else to say but OMG. As a bowling alley this place is probably OK. They have certainly cleaned the facility up, and the outside looks nice. We went there looking to have a beer. We did walk in to the bowling area, and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good mix of ages, race, etc. But…
On the other side (bar) it was the Twilight Zone. Waited forever for 2 beers. The short order cook (an EXTREMELY irritated at the manager teenage type) was working, or not working on a ham and cheese sandwich for 20 minutes, only to discover there was no ham. The manager was rude to the customer, the teenage was rude to the manager, etc. 2 stereo systems, both playing different music, lights all on full, etc. Then, for a nice addition to the weirdness a group of perhaps 21-er’s came in, all exercising their American right to open carry of firearms, which I support. Just think it’s stupid in a restaurant bar. They were playing pool and shuffleboard. Well behaved, but just like a surreal movie.
As I said, bowling alley it is fine. As a bar/​restaurant, stay away. You’d have more fun drinking Keystone Light in the parking lot of a Village Pantry.

Great family outting. Not crowded on a Saturday night. Newly remodeled. No smoking in the building now. Pitchers of soda avaliable. My Grands had a big olé time.

Teeny tiny (cozy) bowling center under new management. Great renovations happening.
Update:
It’s been over a year and great changes are still happening. Mike and Jean are working really hard to make this a great bowling center. If you like to bowl or would like to learn this is a great place to join a league. Small enough so you can actually get social with all the teams on league night and not feel like you are lost in the crowd.
Side note if you have ever wanted to see a perfect game thrown show up on Thursday nights… those guys are amazing!
