Friend decided this is where he wanted to go for dinner and we were craving margaritas… walked in and it looked like it was closed took an employee a minute to peek her head out and let us know someone was there. We were the only customers the whole time. Could not get margaritas only beer bottles. Food was ok but nothing great. Wouldn’t go back!

Wow, it’s been five years since I’ve been here. Anyway, the place has changed a lot. It’s no longer a family style restaurant. They still have a full restaurant menu(not the same one from years before), but they are more of a night-club, dance, DJ(and maybe karaōke) place. There’s a big bar, dance floor, big speakers, and a stand setup for a DJ. 3TV’s plus a digital jukebox in the dining area. Plenty of tables, but they’re all the round kind for 2 people. They put some together as if they’re supposed to be for 4 or 6 people, but it doesn’t work well. Pretty much a standard menu, appetizers, tacos, tortas, burritos, a seafood section, combinations and specialties. The chips served up front were good, probably made in house, and the salsa was good. My entrée was a little better than average for a decent Mexican place. I’d give the food 3.5 stars out of 5. The oddness of the small round tables, the missing doorknob on the men’s room door, and the men’s room needing remodeling bumped the ambience down a notch. Floor/wall grunginess in the hallway to the men’s room bumped the cleanliness down a notch. If it wasn’t for those things, this would be a solid 3, or maybe even a 4 star place. Waitress was sweet and spoke English well enough, but I never saw her between the time she brought my food and the time she brought the check. I have to rate this«meh… but good enough», but I probably won’t go back until after I check out the other Mexican and Guatemalan places along West 38th.

Stereotypical strip-mall Mexican joint. Decent food, but I won’t make it a point to visit again. Went during a weekday lunch, and no one else was there, but because of the noisy TV, it sounded like the place was full. The interior is quite ugly, and much of it is taken up by a dance floor. The food was alright, nothing to write home about, but the server was kind and the food came out quickly. Besides the rather lame atmosphere, there’s nothing to complain about, but nothing remarkable about the joint, either.
