Really yummy, great vegetarian options, whole family enjoyed the food(our kids eat the same food we do, not chicken fingers or other standard kid menu items), great service and they made the food as spicy as we asked for. It seems like most restaurant err on the side of caution when you ask for your food Thai hot, not this place, they delivered.

Sigh. I have been searching for a Thai restaurant that hasn’t «Americanized» the menu, that doesn’t offer everything with a «1−5» choice for spice. OK, pet peeve aside, it was a solid 4 star experience. We got there around 7pm, and got seated right away, which was nice. Hot ginger tea, and we both ordered«medium» which was right around«3» on the 1 – 5 scale.(I know, put it aside) Started with Veggie Tempura, small portion to share, but very tasty and nice selection of vegetables. Paradise shrimp showed up as promised, bright green fresh tasting snow peas with tomatoes and a half dozen big shrimp. Don’t let the lack of that fifth star keep you away, I’m stingy with stars, 4 means really good, but not the best I’ve ever had. That would be Thai Landing in Baltimore on Charles.

Hands down the best Thai I’ve had in Indy! It even converted my husband! I love the overall vibe, and the staff was very attentive. I will absolutely be going back.

I frequently visit this place and it never disappoints. I have ordered from each section of the menu at different heat levels and I was equally satisfied. If it’s your first time ordering here, close your eyes and point. Whatever you order will be delicious! I have even considered having a small wedding reception upstairs. The lunch special is the best deal you could get. Just be sure to get there on time. Everyone else in town will be there. Their pad Thai is the best in town! Don’t know what to get? Shrimp pad Thai, hands down. Erin is the best server in the world. Her purple lipstick always welcomes my husband and I.(We come here so often she knows our usual!!)

Food was okay. Service was slow. And charging me $ 1 for a ramekin of cilantro? Really? And. charging .25 for hot sauce? Really? There should be hot sauce on the tables. Don’t think it’s all that great. But at least I crossed it off my bucket list.

Only my 2nd visit here and wondering why I’ve not visited sooner? I had the drunken noodles and it was so tasty! I ordered the medium and it was a little spicy but not so much that it couldn’t be enjoyed. I was going to order the spicy but one cook’s interpretation of «spicy» might be different from mine definition of «spicy» but I think next time I might give it a try. When trying beers, ales, etc., I try to stick to local or at least Indiana breweries and the Damascene apricot sour ale from Tin Man Brewery did not disappoint at all. I like the tartness and it had a clean finish. A «must-do» for anyone coming to the downtown or near downtown area and wanting good-sized portions AND delicious Thai cuisine. Also great vegetarian options as well.

This is absolutely my favorite Thai food restaurant in town! I’ve eaten here several times and everytime has been delicious! Very authentic Thai, nice location, quaint atmosphere. I had the Drunken Noodles-Medium-I would recommend not getting hot! The med. is VERY spicy and flavorful. Others with me had Pad Thai, also medium, which was delicious as well. The Chao Praya Shrimp was very tasty, not too much breading, fresh tasting. We all loved the Siam Rolls, the sauce is sooo goood! I should mention that they have a pretty nice beer selection as well.

In town for a convention, I scouted Unilocal for a dinner with a colleague. He said he liked Asian, and this place came up well recommended. It was easy driving distance from the convention center as well. Parking was pretty easily found on the street, even though there was a basketball game going on that night a mile away or so. The building is easy to spot with the red awning. Inside is nothing fancy, just wooden tables and chairs for 80 or so, and an informal vibe. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. We had a couple of beers(no liquor, just beer and wine) along with shrimp firecrackers and chicken satay to start. Pretty good start, but the entrees were the real stars. I ordered up pad prik king at normal heat level(they warn you it’s only available in «hot,» not mild) with some chiles on the side in case I wanted to doctor it some more. My colleague said make it two. Portions were good, not overwhelming, and packed a decent punch. I used half my chiles, and my colleague used them all, Super flavorful as well as pleasantly burning, which made the second beer even better. Very good dinner for less than $ 25 per person? You betcha!

I venture to say this is the best Thai food I have had in Indianapolis. The flavors are spot on, the portion sizes are huge, and the service is great. They are always busy in the restaurant so I sometimes order take out. If you call in they are relatively fast in having your order ready when they say. My favorite dishes are some variety on a noodle dish but everything I’ve had is delicious. They are located in Fountain Square which is a great neighborhood to walk around and explore. The lunch deal they have is one of the best and I suggest trying it out if you can.

Went to Siam on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised for my first visit! It’s been quite some time since I’ve actively sought out Thai food, as I have had some negative experiences in the past. But today, I decided to give it another chance. And I’m so glad I did! To start, the crab Rangoon was great. Not overly stuffed and the order is the perfect sized appetizer to split. For my entrée I went pretty traditional with the chicken pad Thai. I was hesitant to get the«hot» spices but I’m glad I did because they were the perfect amount of spice without just burning your mouth. Spice with flavor instead of just heat. Definitely enjoyed that. The portions are huge and with the lunch special I felt that I got a lot for my money. The waitress initially forgot to bring out our soup and egg roll that came with the entrée but she ended up bringing them out in the middle of our meal. The pad Thai was so good I didn’t even really mind. The soup was great and really cleared my sinuses up! Now that I know this little gem is right down the street from my work, I envision many lunch break trips :)

The food here is excellent! Authentic taste. The restaurant is very clean. They have a $ 9.99 lunch special Monday thru Friday until 3. The waiter Jarrod was awesome!

What a yummy Thai place! I had the Pad Seuw with chicken, which was a huge portion that magically disappeared from my plate – I serious could not stop eating. I typically prefer shrimp with my Thai dishes, but the additional cost of shrimp($ 3) at Siam is a bit crazy. I’m dinging a star for crazy costly shrimp. We were there early on a weeknight and easily got seated, but by the time we left around 6:30 it was hopping. I couldn’t believe how busy it was on a Monday! Surely a good sign that it’s a great place for your Thai fix. I wouldn’t recommend it for large groups though, it’s a little place.

This place is always hoppin’, and for good reason. Great service, great choices. Everything on the menu sounds divine, however I always roll with the same amazing dish: Masaman Curry. It’s coconut curry-based. Just awesome. And they have well-chosen, affordable bottles of wine if you’re looking to split one for the night. However, by the time you add shrimp to a dish you might be looking at $ 17. So, I do wish it was a little less expensive, but that doesn’t affect my 5-star rating. I have also gotten take-out from here — there’s a bit of a wait so definitely call ahead to place your order. But the best part is that they package the curry and rice separately so it doesn’t lose its texture while you’re commuting home.

Virgin Thai eater. Had a wonderful meal at Siam Square tonight. Seriously can’t remember what everyone ordered but it was all good. I ate 6 Crab Rangoons and my dish and took home dessert. The mild spicy was absolutely my speed. The medium in one dish was almost too much for me. Can’t imagine what hot taste like. Our server was very friendly and the restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. Will most definitely be back.

One of my longtime Fountain Square go-to restaurants. Is it authentic? I don’t know; I’ve never been to Thailand. Do I care? Not really. The food is good and that’s what keeps me coming back. I highly recommend the Thai iced tea, crab rangoons for an appetizer, and the Drunken Noodles(I get it with tofu and they make the tofu bites so creamy and flavorful!). Friends of mine seem to really like their Pad Thai. One little word of warning: it seems that sometimes their spice level is a bit unpredictable. My husband — who loves spicy food — got the«Thai hot» level once and could barely eat it. He ventured to get it again, only to find it much less spicy. Did they mess up the first time or the second? Who knows.(I’m a wimp and get mild… no issues there!) They have a great room upstairs that is perfect for private parties of up to ~25 people.

This is the second Thai place I reviewed recently which shows how much I love to check out good Thai. I have to say I was a bit disappointed in my experience here. I ordered the Pad Seuw hot(one-level below the spiciest) and a small cup of tom yum soup with a spring roll. The Pad Seuw wasn’t spicy at all. Not even a little tingle of spiciness. I was super disappointed and thought maybe they mixed mine up with my friends who ordered mild(lowest spice level). Sadly, that wasn’t the case since my friends order was almost sweet tasting from the lack of spice. It was good though, just not spicy at all which is what I really look forward to in Thai food. The Tom Yum soup was a bit vinegary for my taste but not bad when I had it with the spring roll. Service was pretty good and the waitress was nice. Overall, a bit disappointing but maybe I’ll try this place again just to see if they just made a mistake on my dish.

Well this rating is based off eating in a smaller volume city. I can’t compare this restaurant to something like in Dallas, Houston, or NYC. With that said if this place was in a larger city it would still get a better than average eatery. Now this place is small and quaint. But don’t let that fool you on the food taste or quality. I had an app that was the curry puff. Really good plate to get your tastebuds wanting more. Sweet curry potatoes, and chicken flash fried. Had the chicken pad Thai which was very tasty. Sadly I ordered it mild and should have asked for more heat. The portions were right. The flavor was there. Simple dish and I recommend. Tried the Pad Sieu. Once again really good dish that was well portioned. Another recommended dish. For dessert the fried bananas with taro ice cream. Banana were quickly fried and drizzled with honey. The taro ice cream was silky with a hazelnuty taste. Great combo. Definitely give this dish a shot.

I’ve read reviews saying this is excellent and authentic Thai… eh. It is GOOD. But, it’s also overpriced and not as flavorful as some shops. This restaurant caters to the hip, trendy, and middle class clientele who tend to frequent Fountain Square. The food is small portions for the price(tiny spring rolls for $ 7/$ 8) and entrees for $ 13ish. The flavor is solid. Trust me, this place does not serve bad food. It’s just, if you want an authentic flavor you’ll need to check elsewhere — likely a place that isn’t so hip or trendy where they don’t have to cater to all tastebuds. I recommend it, but I can get tastier food for the price elsewhere.

Highly over-rated Thai ‘like’ food. Food quality is mostly okay, although I was served mild instead of hot(well could have been worse if it went the other way!). The soup was actually hot. Not sure how many diners were able to down the soup for lunch today. It’s usually two scale lower in heat level. Apart from the noise level the poor quality of service adds to the disappointment. They are not being able to handle peak load the last few times I was here for lunch. Not only from a service standpoint but also accuracy of order and taste of food. Lastly from a quantity standpoint, no other Thai restaurant in Indy(or any other place I am familiar with) serves food with such a small portion size. Ah a very important thingy! Please clean your tables with soap and warm water. I couldn’t life my bill off the table nor could I touch the table without feeling yucky! No it’s not the humidity outside. This isn’t last week!

I have loved Siam Square since the first time I went there. It’s a quaint little place located in Fountain Square and I am a HUGE fan of coconut curry. I have tried both the red and the green coconut curry in both the medium and the hot spiciness. It is served with the rice on the side and the curry in the bowl, but I personally like to just dump all of the rice in the bowl with the curry and eat it with a spoon. I have been there several times and didn’t have a problem with the service I received. However, I went here for dinner tonight around 6:45PM and the wait was over 45 minutes after we ordered the food. Around the 30 minute mark, the waiter came to us and said that there is a party upstairs and it was going to still be a bit before our food came out. I think the information would have been nice earlier on so that we could have ordered an appetizer knowing it would be such a long wait. He seemed to be apologetic, but it was a less than satisfactory experience because of that(the food was still great). Since I’ve had better experiences with service in the past, I’m hoping this was a one-time fluke. I will come here again in the future simply because the food is SO delicious.
