Save-A-Lot is sort-of like Aldi’s. A medium sized discount grocery store(ie, smaller than the typical Kroger or Marsh, but still much bigger than a convenience store) with very few name brands, a narrow range of generic brands, and limited varieties of each item, that attempts to have rock-bottom prices without having to play the«wait for a sale» and«gotta use a coupon» games that the big name-brand grocery stores use. Compared to the Aldi’s at 52nd and Keystone, and the other Aldi’s further out on Pendleton Pike, I prefer Aldi’s over this Save-A-Lot. But it’s so close, I’d probably go to whichever is nearer to me while on my errands. On the few items I’ve compared, Aldi’s has the slightly lower price, and slightly better quality produce. The above two Aldi’s are also a bit better organized, newer, and cleaner. If I remember correctly, they don’t accept credit cards. Just debit and cash.
